Absolutely enjoyed the buffet lunch, delicious non veg starters especially tandoori chicken which was so juicy, tasty. Biryani was so yummy and all sweets were just mouth watering. Must enjoy.
I ordered butter chicken and other two dishes to go. The butter chicken was really good and the price was reasonable too. Will definitely go back there again to try their weekend buffet. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Shahi Gost Biryani, this is the one you should order period! I’m from Hyderabad and my biryani taste standards are pretty high, I have eastern biryani at every place in Bay Area and this one stood out for me because of many reasons. Firstly it’s white biryani, a kind of biryani where you get to taste flavour of meat and raw spices infused in rice, it’s very juicy and meat pieces were soft and flavourful. And the quantity was great, wow, I’m heavy eater but yet I couldn’t complete it. 2 people can easily eat this biryani. Please keep same consistency in taste, because I’m gonna be ordering this biryani again and again for sure. Thanks I also ordered chicken momos, they were fresh and steamy, 5/5 for sure.
Boyfriend, roommates and I are all fans! It's been a while since I've had Indian food, and this really hit the spot! I ordered (for delivery) the Tandoori Fish Tikka and Onion Chilly Dosa. The fish was tender, flaky, perfectly cooked and seasoned beautiful too! I've had experiences with fish at other places where there was just too much salt, but this one was spot on. Very very big serving size as well and it lasted me 3 meals! As for the Onion Chilly Dosa... This was HOT! Like very very spicy hot! I usually love spicy food but the load of green chilies here was so much that I actually had to take them all out. It had that perfect spice amount after it. So so good I ate it all at once! Very good amount of onions as well and they were also casual seeds all over. Really good combination. My boyfriend ordered the Vegetable Samosa, Butter Chicken with Tandoori Roti, and the Mango Lassi. He loved them all! He usually waits for me to start eating but that Butter Chicken was so good he was done with half the bowl before I even got to my food! I tried some and it actually was so good! Just the right amount of spice, good big pieces of chicken and really rich curry. Perfectly sweet Mango Lassi as well; I had a hard time not having just more than one sip. My roommates order the Vijayawada Chicken Biryani a lot from here and are just hooked on it!
Shahi ghost biryani- 5/5 so buttery, not spicy at all, very savory and dreamy, great portion of rice and mutton\nChicken Manchurian-3/5 can skip
Great place, I love the ambience and decor. They have lots of vegetarian options. The location is great, oh and the bathroom is spotless.
The best food in town great service. Delicious food. Must try tandoori chicken and many more.

We discovered Himalayan Kitchen during COVID and it's been in our normal restaurant rotation ever since. Our go to's are butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, basmati rice, veggie samosas, …
We have eaten here several times. Consistently delicious and the service is lovely. We always leave satisfied. Prices are a bit above, but worth it for the quality of the meal.

Excellent Indian non-veg and veg options in Mountain view! I think the restaurant name is misleading as I initially thought it would be more Nepalese style but they have a diverse menu from all ove…
Garlic naan was excellent. Butter chicken was good. Chana Masala was nothing special. Chicken 65 was pretty okay. Overall butter chicken over rice and naan was my favorite!
Absolutely loved the food here. The momos and chowmein were perfectly spiced and flavorful--just the right street-style Indo-Chinese taste I was craving. Even the biryanis and chicken curry were impressive, with rich flavors and great portion sizes. A great spot if you're craving both Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes done right. Been visiting since 10 Years! P.S: some construction work going on inside the dining area.
Had the butter chicken and garlic naan. Garlic naan 5/5 - pretty close to perfect. Great texture with crispy edges and soft inside. Well dressed with garlic and ghee. Butter chicken 4/5 - not the best I've had or even close because as it was lacking depth of flavor. Everything else about it was actually excellent, however. Had the perfect thickness, creaminess, and consistency. I asked for spicy and they made it properly hot, which meshed nicely with the lightly sweet top notes. It came out piping hot and fresh. And the chicken inside was plentiful and shockingly and delightfully tender. Though, the chicken didn't seem to carry much if any char flavor or marinade, the meat by itself tasted way better than average despite this, like very high quality chicken. I feel like it nailed everything except the depth of flavor, but it was still pleasant and enjoyable. While I wasn't in love with it, they clearly put effort into it and I wouldn't hesitate to come back to try the rest of their menu.
8/7/24 Himalayan Kitchen 820 E El Camino Real Ste C Mountain View, CA 94040 We tried this for lunch on a Wednesday. It's in a setback strip mall so there's lots of parking in front. They offer a lunch buffet and I asked if they had Naan which was brought to our table after we filled our plates. The interior is a cozy table setup and was fairly full while we were there. The buffet choices had many standard offerings like Tandoori Chicken and they had my favorite, Goat Curry. The bone in goat was very meaty and the gravy was not very spicy. Overall the flavor of the food was on the mild but tasty side. Service was helpful and good. I paid with cash at the counter and got a discount. It's a good value and repeatable.
Kind of a hole in wall joint, but food was good. We hit this place on a Sunday early afternoon, it closed at 3 PM for the buffet option. Place was full,, so obviously a well k b own buffet. Fairly large selection. Went here on a friend's recommendation. Flavors were typical, nothing stood out, but I would definitely come back. At the $27 price point, seems a decent value.
Amazing place to have Himalayan/Nepalese cuisine. I ordered the veg items and soup all were good. Tea was complimentary. Good ambience. Fast service for food apart from Momos or may be it was the case with me. They asked for 50 minutes waiting time, may be they were preparing the fresh Momos. I won't still a star for it as their food is amazing.
Good location in quiet tucked away place. Busy but primarily with people picking up to go orders--Surprising how many orders. Enjoyed thali all dishes spiced well. Good amount of heat in all dishes, important to keep in mind if you are sensitive to heat. Recommend. Plan on going back to try lunch buffet.

Chicken momo 3 normal dumplings, no juice Chicken briyani 3 two breast 2, one leg 3, fried rice, yogurt Chicken pakoras 4 deep fried chicken tenders Mutton sukka 2 spicy, don't like one of the spices, need to put yoghurt on top Chicken Tikka Masala 5 creamy, flavorful, mildly spicy Grilled chicken breast 3 mildly spicy, slight dry Chicken Saag 2 dry, spicy
Update: The restaurant needs to be more clean and be more hygienic. The next time I went, there were tissues on the floor and the server got the plates which were a little dirty. Review2: I ordered the Vijayawada Chicken Biryani for take-out, and it was delicious with a generous portion—enough to easily serve two people. The Veg Chowmein had thin noodles and a mild, simple flavor, though I was disappointed to find they don’t offer Shezwan sauce, so don’t expect any spice. I also tried the Madras Masala Dosa, which was tasty, and the Gobi 65, though it was just okay. Keep in mind that they are only open until 10 PM and only take orders until 9.30 PM. I’m not sure why the open time on Google shows until 12 AM.
Update: this place lost it's standard. Mutton sukka which used to be so good here was terrible the last couple of times we ordered. *** My go-to place for South Indian Non-Vegetarian food. The goat briyani and mutton sukka here are scrumptious and are must try. Thalappakatti chicken briyani and chicken 65 are also a tasty 😋 combination here. Service is good and you can always find a table for dining in. The place is lively most of the time.
Only get the biryanis here. They give a nice amount of biryani. However not great amounts of anything else. Also took forever to pick up food. Maybe 40 minute
OK Indian but really nothing special. Not sure how it gets 4 stars. Lamb was fatty and very chewy. Prices reasonable . 10% cash discount vs card Service was OK.

We called to order from a phone so ast to arrive with food ready. We specifically asked for a non spicy or a low spicy paneer biryani so that kids could have it. But it was the most spicy dish. We ordered a paneer biryani, Gongura chicken, garlic chicken and egg noodles. All food was good but the staff is rude and thinks the people ordering food as fools. We ordered butter naan on call and got normal naan. When checked with servers he said butter might have absorbed. Later he bill had plain naan. Even when asked about biryani a couple of people came from management but dismissed that we mentioned less spicy.
We tried their masala dosa and it was a huge disappointment. The dosa was overwhelmingly salty and tasted over-fermented, the chutney seemed stale, and the sambar was nothing more than flavored wat…

Our food was served cold/luke warm, the place was dirty, and the staff didn't care. This place is more like a crappy food truck you can sit in that a restaurant. Like sadder than an abandoned Kmart.

Very disappointing experience. The food had spices but somehow still tasted bland and flavorless. Many items were cold and felt stale. The buffet options were also very limited compared to other Indian buffet places in the area. At $22 per person, it’s definitely not worth it. I’d recommend trying other places instead.
We have started going to this restaurant and our first two times were pretty good but third time was not the charm. We ordered steamed momos and it got to us within 15-20 minutes, but it was colder than the last time we ordered it. I asked the staff why it was cold, and he told me it was steamed for 15-20 minutes so it should be fine. But I still asked them to reheat it. One thing that I noticed was a weird raw smell coming out of the momos, so I decided to cut them open and see what's inside. To my surprise I found raw chicken( pieces were pink in color) in the momos. I asked the staff again, and the response was "we never got a complain on the momos", and I literally showed him 6-7 pink colored chicken pieces. He was still adamant and not did not believe me. Attached photos of the pink chicken from inside the momo. Dishes like momos where you can't see what's inside, you are basically at the mercy of the restaurant to serve hygenic and cooked food, and unfortunately for me, we weren't served cooked food.
