Bravissimi e… continuate cosi! A presto!

Molto bravi, consiglio assolutamente!

Stritt Stritt is right around the corner from the guest house I’m staying during my time in Naples. Additionally, it’s right across from the Municipio metro stop so it’s easy to get to. Their outdoor patio is enclosed with clear vinyl siding so you can enjoy the outdoors while still being protected from the elements. It looks like they have the ability to open panels during the nicer weather. Today it’s a rainy November day and I’m happy to enjoy eating al fresco. I arrived around 2pm, an hour and half before they close for the afternoon before reopening for dinner. I started with the fried anchovies. Never have I ever had fresh anchovies. These had a light flavor, were served on a bed of arugula. A literal protein bomb. Next up, molten hot lava! Just kidding! It’s gnocchi with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella. But seriously, it came out VERY HOT. Be careful on your first 10 bites. 😂 This place is welcoming and has great food at reasonable prices. If you ever have a chance to come to Naples, stop by Stritt Stritt. You’ll be happy you did!

A pleasant, family-run street restaurant close to the port area of Naples, hidden away in one of the inner streets. Not flashy and not pretentious, but fresh, original, high-quality local food. The service is pleasant and courteous, and the many locals who choose to eat there will attest to the nature of the restaurant.

Finding a restaurant in Napoli is overwhelming since there’re so many options all over the city, but I think we made a very good choice. I grew up by the ocean so my bar for seafood is high. This place nailed it. It’s on a quiet side street and we were seated in an enclosed outdoor space. The two of us ordered more than enough food for three people - fried anchovies, seafood risotto (for two people), and the seafood soup. Everything was seriously good. Our favorite is the seafood soup. When you have fresh seafood, you don’t need too much seasoning because it will overpower the original flavor of the seafood. The seafood were cooked perfectly and they did a good job balancing the seasoning and flavor. The soup is a little spicy, which I didn’t expect but liked it. The soup was so delicious I had to soak it up with bread even if my stomach was exploding. It’s a lot bigger and tastier than the other place we went the day before. The anchovies have a very light batter, fresh but could be a little more crispy. The seafood risotto was massive, they split it in two for us (the picture is showing one person’s portion), and I’ve never seen so many seafood in one dish. It had twice as many as seafood as the rice and we couldn’t even finish it. The only downside was that the seafood was cooked a little too long, especially the mussels. If they were like the ones in the soup that’d be perfect. The owner(?) is a very nice lady, chatting with every table and made everyone feeling comfortable. She’s also very sweet when I was practicing my broken Italian with her. The other two girls served us were very sweet too.

Delicious traditional Napolitan food. We had grilled fish, fried squid and prawns, pasta with meat sauce and aubergine with tomatoes and zucchini. The tiramisu with limoncello was a delight. For 2 people 70 euros. Even the Italians go here.

We found this highly rated unpretentious place on Google Maps just around the corner of where we stayed. We were greeted by the mistress of the restaurant with a huge smile, and the service was all through very quick and timely. This place is run by a whole family it seems and two of the mistress’ daughters would manage the tourists in decent English. The two pasta dishes (gnocchi with zucchini & provolone cheese + short pasta with white beans & seafoods) were both delicious & tasteful, with a generous portion. We should have taken only one dish pasta as we did so with the starter (grilled eggplant with cheese, tomato sauce & cappers), in order to try out the main dish. But after one pasta dish for each, we were already quite full. So we ordered just one lemon 🍋 tiramisu to share. They were all so delicious & generous, that I recommend any people who pass by Napoli to stop by this cozy place to fill your empty stomachs!

Had dinner at this lovely restaurant during our trip to Naples and the food was wonderful! Staff were really friendly and cleared a table quickly for us to sit down without a reservation. We had two glasses of wine which were absolutely lovely. For our starter we had the sharing starter, every element on the plate was wonderful and we really enjoyed it! We completely underestimated how much food there was and it was very filling! We ordered the carbonara for main and this was also very lovely! Sadly, we couldn't finish it all as the starter was so generous in portion size! I would definitely recommend trying this place as it was so lovely and the atmosphere was perfect also! Thank you to all the staff at Stritt Stritt for being so welcoming and friendly. We promise to finish our mains on our next time we visit. 😅

The staff here are very nice and food was delicious. As an Italian American who speaks very little Italian, I can say that we were treated like Napoli was our home. Real Italians love when we try to speak their beautiful language and show their gratitude by being extra attentive and kind. The seafood pasta was very good and I also enjoyed the meatballs. The fried seafood was also very yummy. I love how everything was flavored simply and delicately. The menu isn't too big, but we didn't mind that because the food was great. We did have to wait for a table but that was to be expected for a busy Saturday night. By then end of our meal one of the ladies hugged us all, wished us a happy and safe holiday. That level of treatment really made us feel welcomed. Enjoy good food and exceptional service here.

We were passing by and hungry, checked reviews and stopped. Very few vegetarian options. Could order only gnocchi which was good. Bread was a little too fermented. Overall satisfied.

We stumbled across this tiny family restaurant and were totally amazed at the great quality for such a small price, very impressive. It’s not a Michelin restaurant but for Napoli it’s amazing quality. Get the fresh Sea bass and judge for yourselves!

It was… nice. A bit better than average but not, to me, at all worthy of the review hype. Perhaps a case of over-promising through marketing. The sauté of seafood was obviously very fresh and that was good. It was just mussels and clams but they were good mussels and clams and the lightly fried bread sitting underneath soaked up the broth. Good start. But the ziti genovese seriously lacked beef. Lacked beef to the point where it resembled just a thick, lukewarm French onion soup over slightly overdone pasta. It had a single small cube of meat served. Neapolitan food comes from a rightly proud tradition of making great food out of inexpensive ingredients. But this was so sparse it was just disappointing. And it wasn’t at working-class food prices. Baccalà alla neapolitana was more generous, warmer and tasty. Service was very patchy. A warm welcome and good service for antipasto and primo but that was followed by over 20 minutes of waiting after my primo was finished, with me clearly ready, until I had to signal a waiter over to ask for a menu. Catching their eye proved very difficult. They were busy taking payments and clearing tables but it’s not ok to leave a paying, obviously waiting customer feeling completely abandoned. Then, menu in hand, another long wait and eventual eye-catch signal for someone to come over so that I could order secundo. I asked for that and the waiter was off before I could ask for another glass of wine with the same breath. I know how hard waiting staff work, having worked in hospitality myself, and I don’t publicly criticise easily, but some of the staff, who obviously work hard, deserve better support from others. Perhaps a new system of allocating a waiter to each table would work better. Side note - I don’t at all understand the advertised reference to street food. This is clearly a ‘normal’ restaurant with ‘normal’ menu options. Perhaps I’m missing something, perhaps lunch service is different, or perhaps it’s that over-reaching marketing style again.

We came here for lunch with my partner as the rating was good, but were very disappointed! My partner ordered an Aperol Spritz which was not sparkling and tasted like aperol diluted in still water. When we asked the waitress, she said it was because the Prosecco had been opened for a long time and did not offer to make another one. We ordered the mozzarella as a starter which did not taste good and was very chewy (photo attached). The pasta (alla genovese and seafood) were good but the portions were pretty small. Overall, disappointing!

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Drive We drove an hour to try this restaurant and were very disappointed. The portions are extremely small compared to the high prices. We ordered the fried seafood dish – the calamari was decent, but the rest wasn’t good and the oil tasted old. The seafood spaghetti was a letdown; we ended up eating only the pasta because the seafood was not fresh. The beef steak? Maybe 2/8 at best. Definitely not worth the time or money.
