Super Sergio's National City Reviews
We did ordered carne asada burritos and it’s filled with meats. Just the way we liked it.
Been coming here since I was a kid, absolutely the best place for a California burrito or carne asada fries. Always order either with NO pico de gallo, add extra sour cream, extra guac. 10/10. A little pricey, but it is what it is.
It was already late when me and my friend hung out. By the time we dropped off one friend, it turned into "tomorrow" which is today. She was hungry, so i said ok, let's go.Dennys was dragging their feet, so my friend said lets go to Super Sergio. They took our because they hadn't locked the doors. My friend had beef tacos. I ordered a cheese quesadilla with guacamole on the side. My Quesadilla was honkin' big. The picture shows it folded. It was very, very cheesy! It was so good. I'm going back with my family.
Drive thru was busy on a Thursday evening around 8:30pm. It's probably just like us, having late dinner. We ordered fish tacos, adobada tacos, and carne asada fries. We are not sure if it was on the menu, but we just took the risk of asking if they have caldo de res. And luckily they have. My kids love caldo de res. The price point was good, especially for the amount of food you get. Fish tacos were loaded with a big slice of fish. Topped with cabbage and maybe a mixture od pico de gallo. I like the fries because they are crispy even when we have to wait till we get home to eat.
Judging from the other reviews, this place is either a hit or miss, but tonight was a definite hit. They were slammed tonight when we went, but the small crew they had was handling it *amazingly*! Just be patient with them, and they'll get your food out very fresh. Below is their hot cheetos burrito, Carne asada fries, Carne asada plate, and cheese quesadilla. Everyone in our group loved it, especially after wearing ourselves out at the beach .
First time ordering from here, ordered some rolled tacos and they where really good and price was fair, will definitely return.
First time there, ordered a California burrito $14.50, not big but not small, pretty good, I give it a 7, a little dry but nothing some salsa can’t fix. Cashier was a younger girl with piercing on her face, didn’t seem to enjoy her job, one of those people that should be working in the back away from the customers. I was charged an additional .39 cents “supplemental fee” for no reason (I paid cash) so keep an eye on you receipt. Overall I would recommend trying it.
Its good and all, but can you imagine getting home, after $18 dollars for carne asada fries, only to realize they only gave you 2 little hot sauces, and then dropping one to pop open on your way in 😒
Food was good. Service was fast but why did I get charged a drive thru fee and given a dirty look by the young girl at the drive thru because I left no tip. This new thing of leaving a tip has gone to far. If I am entering and using your establishment, then yes a tip is expected , but not the drive thru.
First time trying Menudo here.. The smell of the restaurant first of all is horrible. Smells like old dirty sewage pipes. Not ideal around food. The place did not seem very clean over all. Then our food was left on the counter to sit and get cold. The menudo was so oily, it had huge chunks of meat. One large piece of meat that wasn’t trimmed. Very gross. The Jamaica was great. But I’ll never get menudo here again. Also over priced. About $16/bowl.
Never greeted us, chatted with each other and basically ignored us Also never thanked us for being there and not only was our order WRONG, the food had no flavor, everything was very bland. It used to be so good. New management or owner? We’ve been going there for over 20 years, but we won’t be going anymore
Not good. We went around 8pm on a weekday. I got a Cali burrito and the meat was dry, the fries were not fresh, had to pay for guacamole, it's as if they have the ingredients siting in pre-done containers barely warm so its all very bland and dry. Had to open it up and add salt and drown it in salsa and even then I was only able to eat a few bites before giving up.
I usually dont do reviews...this place definitely deserves one... I ordered a carne asada torta. Worst carne asada torta I've ever had. The description says it comes with onions, tomato, guacamole and lettuce. I found 2 lil squares of tomato and didn't find or tasted any onions on it. The guacamole I could barely see or taste it. Unfortunately didn't feel like going back to return it...images speak louder than words, so here is a picture of my carne asada torta.
Unfortunately, worse experience I’ve had in any food establishment. When some of the food was brought out to us, the tray was tossed onto me. The soup was rotted. You can tell it had been reheated several times. The corn had mold on the inside, and the veggies were really mushed. Not to say that me. Also look very old when I asked for a refund the young lady at the register was going to do it, but needed authorization from the owners. When the owner came out. He came out with attitude. Almost as if he was ready to fight, he asked me “what happened”. When I explained the food wasn’t edible. He had me walk over to it and explain why he showed him the areas where the food was rotten and blamed the delivery Service Not himself as he was a cook. Continue to get more aggressive and invited me to do this post. He believes the bad publicity is good publicity. No attempt to make it right or keep business. I have actually been here for over 20 years and never had an issue, but that is cause I’ve never ran into the owner now that I know That the Service reflects how he cooks. I will never set foot in this establishment again. I hope that when any of you decide togo. You guys deal with the staff, and not with this person..
Beware. 3 of us ate here. Carne asada burrito and california burrito carne was COLD & DRY. No sour cream or guacamole in California burrito (whats the point of this burrito) Cheese was cold not melted. Too expensive and not worth it. Other girl ordered rolled tacos. There was more tortilla than beef inside. Thank God there was salsa to help the dry food 😮💨 Ps. I was going to give the the burrito to my dog but was afraid he would choke since he can't add salsa 😕 😅 😪 Last time we come here
Have been coming here since I was kid with my family but the last few times I come the food has gone down for sure. Today was probably last time I come. I always order the chicken quesadilla which already was made different than before but I guess I should have specified to hold the hair. Found 3 hairs cooked into the cheese. So disgusting. Used to be our go to spot but quality has gone down
