En el pueblo de Navacerrada, más tímido y escondido, se encuentra el pajar. Suele estar abierto cuando otros ya cierran. Te puedes comer una hamburguesa, o alguna carne y te quedas agusto.
El chuletón de buey madurado a la piedra, francamente espectacular. Sabroso, tierno, punto de sal. Impecable. También lo es el trato y servicio.
Excelente atención, la chica muy amablemente nos consiguió mesa, solo tomamos algo pero la atención y el ambiente, perfecto.
Fuimos a comer y la experiencia fue excelente. Probamos el cachopo, los torreznos, el pulpo a la brasa y los judiones, y estaba todo riquísimo, bien preparado y con muy buena calidad. Las raciones son generosas y la atención del personal fue cercana y amable. Sin duda, un sitio muy recomendable al que volveremos.

El Pajar de Navacerrada: what a joy to stumble upon a place so close to all the places I frequent. A great find that I'm adding to my list. The Pajar burger… not just good, but absolutely delicious. A proper burger: juicy beef, smoked cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, and tasty fries. The cachopo, they say, is the most famous in the mountains. And after seeing it being taken to another table, I understand why: thin, perfectly assembled, with Idiazabal cheese and a ham that's beyond question, it commands respect. I'll try it next time, as well as those huevos rotos with ham that I saw being served. Oh, and let's not forget the torreznos (fried pork belly). The locals swear they're exquisite… and judging by how they were talking, I'd say they weren't exaggerating. I'll be back. And soon. Because there are places that win you over and others that simply adopt you, and El Pajar definitely seems to be the latter. Good service and Emilio was very attentive. Today, Sunday, December 7th, we returned to the restaurant to try some other dishes. And as soon as we walked in the door… bam! A tall, burly man, more temperamental than friendly, practically dismissed us without even asking if we had a table. "We're fully booked! There's no room!" he blurted out. To which I replied, now with a bit of wit: "Excuse me, we've had a reservation for a week." "Are there five of you?" "Yes, indeed." "Ah… that's your table." Once we got over the initial shock, things improved: the crispy croquettes were amazing and the torreznos (fried pork belly) were very, very good. The cachopo (breaded and fried veal cutlet) was picture-perfect. Just one note: I don't know exactly who this tall, imposing man is—whether he's the owner, the manager, or Emilio's father—he's not the most suitable person to be dealing with the public. And yes, the service was slow: an hour and a half from when we sat down. But the restaurant was packed, so… I forgive them. We'll keep going back!
We felt at home from the start! The truth is that the service we received was especially good; when we saw the reviews, we didn't understand a thing! It's clear that each place has its own "policy" of acting based on its function, and this is respectable as long as things can be said in the best possible way. For our part, we were served with a smile, and after about 20 km, the food was spectacular! The huevos rotos and the cachopo kept us going for about 10 more km! We made friends along the way. What more could we want? Thank you 🫶🏼 and see you soon.
An evening in early June and Navacerrada was dead. This restaurant was one of the few opened and it wasn’t our first choice but we had a really lovely meal. The chefs salad was fresh and I liked how the salmorejo was a sharing dish. The almejas in tomato were very tasty (although messy) and went well with a cold beer. Finally the aged entrecot served on a hot sizzling plate was delicious, tender and succulent. The accompanying potatoes were too much and we left them. Service was fast and courteous. Nothing to fault. Definitely coming back.
If you are in town you must eat at this place. Ask for the daily suggestions, food was amazing , try their special artichokes and garlic shrimps. Overall great service, nice upscale vibe inside. 100% will be back

A nice space to eat some great food with friends or family!
Nice bar and restaurant with spacious terrace. The food is really delicious and good sized portions. The staff are friendly but their system to work is poor and the service needs a big improvement. We wish them luck but would be cautious to return on a busy weekend.

Probably El Pajar is my favorite place in the whole sierra. Food is delicious and the people there are very friendly and professional. I keep going back since I moved to the area.

Nos paramos a tomar un aperitivo, y el camarero muy amable nos recomendó los torreznos, menuda recomendación! Exquisitos, cortados perfectos y en su punto justo para estar jugosos. Quedamos encantados con el aperitivo, y no nos pareció cara para la cantidad que nos pusieron. Lo recomiendo para tomar un aperitivo, fresquitos y en un sitio en Navacerrada
Hoy domingo 26/01/25. Paramos en este restaurante para comer. El trato fue como si pidiésemos un favor al camarero, La comida…. Pedí un cachopo asturiano y los peores huevos rotos que he comido. Las patatas aceitosa y en general sin sal 16,00€. El cachopo bien servido y bien sin más. 32,50 para 2. Mi reseña es por el cobro de servicio a mesa. El sitio con buen ambiente pero yo no vuelvo. Muchas Gracias
Decidimos comer en este rte,al bajar del puerto. Carta bastante variada,atencion rapida y atenta,y comida de calidad,ademas de buena relaccion calidad-cantidad y precio. Totalmente Recomendables!!!!! Ademas tienen en el comedor una estufa de pellet's y se estaba muy agusto,ya que fuera hacia bastante frio. Volveremos!!!!
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had some large white beans, Castilian soup, cachopo (breaded and stuffed veal cutlet), and entrecote (steak). Everything was delicious.

The service was extremely bad. We were 6 people and wanted to get pre-dinner drinks. When we went to a table he said that the kitchen is closed. We said we didn’t want to eat, and then he said that we can’t sit there if we don’t eat, even if the kitchen was closed! How ridiculous! The show went on with more rudeness from his part, we only stayed because there was no other place open in the village, but will definitely never return!
Estuvimos en Navacerrada pasando este fin de semana, estuvimos por la mañana tomando una cerveza y nos comimos una ración de torreznos y la verdad que muy buenos. Nos atendió una chica encantadora, majísima y muy amable. Por la tarde sobre las 9 de la noche decidimos ir a tomar otra cerveza, nos atendió un camarero que no puedo ser más desagradable, nos preguntaron si íbamos a cenar y les dijimos que no, que solo queríamos tomar una cerveza, en una barrita que tienen en un lado del bar, yo no sé si es que no le ha sentado bien que no cenaremos pero imposible que nos atendiera peor, nos trajo un aperitivo de mala gana y las dos copas de cerveza con un maravilloso golpe en la mesa. Caballero no son maneras. Es una pena porque está mañana salimos encantados con la camarera y por eso decidimos volver. Desde luego está noche ha sido la ultima vez y todo gracias al camarero. Solo decir que bravo por la camarera que ha sido genial pero sintiéndolo mucho no volveremos
We arrived and there were 7 of us. We all ordered plates of food, not tapas. My order never arrived. The waiter offered the house suggestion, and when the bill arrived, his suggestion was €60, which he didn't mention. When I went to speak to the manager, it was basically our fault for not ordering it. They suggested something but didn't give the price. I don't see any other way of exploiting someone offering such an expensive dish without giving the price. The waiter, who was very poorly prepared, offered salad, arrived with fries, and didn't get any water. He basically forgot several things we asked for, quite unconcerned. While the rest of the food was good, these details definitely make you not want to come back. My dish took over an hour after everyone had eaten, and I had to beg for food. We had to cancel the order at the end, and no one said anything to me. Perhaps if they had let me know they didn't have it, I'd order something else.
We came before 20.30, NOBODY could enter inside, outside… -1. My girlfriend had to go to the bathroom and had to wait outside! The people were not kind to us.. think they kinda hate working there.
The food is okay but the service is really bad. Waiters are bad humored and refused to serve us coffee before the main dish even when we intended to eat there and not just drink coffee. The food was okay but expensive. Won't go there again.
No nos dejaron pedir agua del grifo.. cosa ilegal.. pero nos dijeron que ni caso de agua ni jarra, cuando está claro que íbamos a consumir… luego sale un señor a tomarte la comanda con comida en la boca e intentando que elijas lo que obviamente no ha vendido. Pedimos 3 cosas y no tenían de ninguna así que tuvimos que pedir otras dos. Nada del otro mundo con precios bastante altos para lo que es.
Toda la terraza con mesas vacías. Preguntamos al camarero si podíamos sentarnos a tomar un aperitivo y su respuesta, muy lejos de la educación, fue “solo para comer”. Un sitio para no volver
Mi experiencia en este restaurante fue bastante decepcionante. Desde el principio, el personal mostró una actitud poco amable, como si atendernos fuera una molestia. Al momento de pedir, varios platos del menú no estaban disponibles, y cuando preguntamos por alternativas, nos respondieron de manera despectiva, sin intención de ayudar ni de ofrecer opciones. Es una lástima, porque el lugar tiene potencial, pero la mala atención y la falta de profesionalismo hacen que no den ganas de volver.
Entramos a tomar un café, y nos dice que no ponen café, que solo chocolate, y no tienen churros solo pequeños croassan de esos comprados en el súper. El chocolate en un mini vaso de papel, más líquido que uno de máquina, y con sabor a quemado, nunca he tomado un chocolate tan malo. No recomiendo que entre nadie en ese establecimiento. Y para rematar menudo precio: 3.50 el fantástico chocolate, y 1.50 la miniatura del croassan,que es lo que les habrá costado en el súper la bolsa de 20 o 25. Si vuelvo a ese pueblo, ya se donde no acercarme.
He estado con mi pareja, porque tenía buena pinta, y había gente, el día antes de Reyes, y uno de los miembros del personal cuando nos sentamos en una mesa libre nos dijo que era zona de paso y que no nos podíamos sentar, lo cual entendimos y comprendimos y nos fuimos a otra mesa vacía, y nos volvió a comentar que era zona de paso, y volvimos a entender que no podíamos estar ahí sentados, a pesar de haberse levantado una mesa minutos antes de nosotros. Le dijimos que si nos podíamos poner fuera, y su respuesta fue literalmente la siguiente: "tú sabrás si estás dispuesto a pasar frío". Ante esta respuesta decidimos marcharnos ya que sentimos que estabamos estorbando y que no nos querían atender, una pena que el trato del personal que está de cara al público sea así.
En días de navidad entramos a tomar un chocolate caliente. La disposición de las mesas inamovible, no tenían café, el chocolate en vasito de plástico (como un cumpleaños) y croissant comprados en Mercadona. 3,5€ por el chocolate y 1,5€ por cada bollería, en pocos sitios nos han timado tan descarado. El servicio deja bastante que desear también....
We get there at 2:00 pm and past 30 minutes no one attends us. The main waiter ignored us. Too expensive for the type of customer services 👎

Even though there was a lot of people during the weekend, the service was extremely bad. One hour waiting for the food and had to ask a lot of times to clean the table
