Ashby's New York Reviews
My twin sister and I discovered Ashby’s while we were in New York for a two-week summer program, and it quickly became our go-to spot. We ate there for lunch almost every day, and one of the staff members started to recognize us and was always so happy to see us. She greeted us with such friendliness and a big smile, which made the experience even better! I was honestly surprised to see some low ratings because my sister and I really enjoyed this place. The sandwiches were so good, and the fact that they came with a free cookie, does it get any better than that? We still talk about Ashby’s and can’t wait to visit again the next time we’re back in the city!! 🤗🤗🩷🩷😋😋🫶🫶
Quality service all around. I went in at 2:30 pm. And needed a Sandwich. They were out, but made me a fresh turkey club from scratch. Sooo good! Fair and reasonably priced for FiDi. Good quality ingredients. Clean shop and friendly staff. Will visit again!

Love this place!! The breakfast is so good, always hot and ready and fresh. I also love the bakery items and the fresh green tea iced. So yummy. The staff is friendly too which makes it even more inviting.
A nice quaint spot in the heart of it all. The food was excellent and service was very friendly.
I’m have been buying soup from here for years mind you I live in the south Bronx … BEST SOUP I EVER HAD !!!! 🤫
I never write a review but most reviews seem to be pretty old. I love this place! The workers are super nice and quick and they have great soup and sandwiches for a good price. I always go here on my lunch break.

First time here. The lady was very welcoming. I came out of the cold to get a hot cup of mint. The lady gave me a Cadbury chocolate candy, then the chef accommodated me with their best seller, grilled chicken pesto. I ate only half side of bread, for reducing my carbs. The banana and a cookie were complimentary. Eat your pesto right away so the bread does not get soggy.

The food and service were just okay. I might return here, nothing terrible but nothing amazing either. I will say, their lunch deal with soup and half a sandwich is a pretty good deal, though.
I would say the Blue Note is a good place to see a big name jazz artist that you love.. It is expensive so you must be in love with the music for it to be worth while. I think the room is kind of poorly designed.. about half of the entire place has a bad view of the stage. Really the tables right in front are the only places I would sit... so get there early and wait in the line and be bored for a while.. but You gotta do it if you want a good seat. The food is pretty good here but I would probably only eat here if I didn't have time to eat before the show or was really hungry. Some of the top names in jazz.. but they come at a hefty price..

The salads are good but people who work there are not friendly, even rude sometimes (especially cashiers), often try to charge you more than you are suppose to pay, mess up the orders. For example, today they charged me 2 ingredients more than I actually had in my salad. Also, the cherry tomatoes were a size of an egg and the place doesn’t offer chop option - not sure how one is suppose to chew those gigantic cherry tomatoes without cutting them? Salad protein options are limited too.

This is an okay place to order from. I ordered from Grubhub from time to time and they always called me that somethinf wasn't in stock. Which isn't there fault. So I started to call to order and they forgot my order a FEW times. So the service isn't great but the food is good. My suggestion is to try to go before rush hour in the morning and afternoon and go there is person. And there are not expensive, which is pleasantly suprisely for the area it is in (wall st/financial district.)

Their "grilled cheese" panini was horrible and the soup was very overpriced.

IN WHAT WORLD IS THIS A GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH….VERY DISAPPOINTING! $10 for this?!? Absolutely not!!!!
There was a nasty bug inside my wrap! The food is too over priced for ingredients that are not fresh!! DONT GO HERE
Large seafood chowder soup which costed almost $9 had a strange sour taste to it. Found 1 clam in there and bunch of old tasting shrimps and crab meat. Dont ever order this one people

The service was awful. I asked the woman at the counter for mayo she looked at my sandwich said yes it has and handed it to me, found out it didn't when I got back to work. The second woman at the register was rude and used the smallest possible bag to pack my food. The service is awful its not worth spending your money.
Overpriced junk salad. lots of other better options. Never understood why their things are so pricy.
This used to be my go to morning stop. It had great quality and a line that moved quickly. Now the salad and sandwich ingredients no longer seem fresh and prices are outrageous. $12 for an egg salad sandwich… why? And not even prepared with love… it was like I was bothering the person who made it. Last time for me.
The food may be good, but don't be fooled. They are crooks!! I ordered a breakfast sandwich. They wrote one price on my sandwich & charged my card double the price. I'm sure I am not the first to be over-charged, with the hopes that it would go unnoticed... BUYER BEWARE!!
Every time i go in there always charged a different price, its very annoying, the reason I don't go in that often. Cadburys Snack, first I was charged 75 cents, next time $1.75, today $1.99. The cashier wanted to charge me $2.99, that's when I mentioned they are not that price, so the owner, was there she says its $2.99. Time out cookie I paid $4.99, NOW its $6.99, disgrace, they can charge what they want. They only reply they have, is they come from over sea. And all international items, went up in price, yes went it up, but they are doubling charging on every item that come from over sea. I know they are overcharging, because I buy all those exact items at other locations, $3 cheaper than Ashby's.
