I found this little gem of a restaurant by accident and boy was I happy. The food and customer service from Shelia was great! The staff was attentive and I felt welcomed. I had the Oklahoma onion burger, BBQ shrimp salad and the banana pudding....Everything was excellent and the food was fresh! According to Shelia this restaurant has been opened for 3 months now- I will definitely go back. All food sold here is made on the premises...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Au Jus Harlem, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with a chic yet comfortable decor that makes you feel right at home. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the hot dog. I have tasted hot dogs all over New York City, and without a doubt, Au Jus Harlem serves the best hot dog in NYC. The bun was perfectly toasted, the sausage had an impeccable snap, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Each bite was a perfect blend of textures and tastes, elevating the humble hot dog to a gourmet delight. But it's not just the hot dogs that stand out. The entire menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a variety of delicious options that cater to different tastes and preferences. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels valued and well taken care of. If you're looking for a place that combines great food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere, look no further than Au Jus Harlem . It's a must-visit spot in NYC, especially if you're a hot dog enthusiast!

Cute restaurant, seats about 3 parties or 10 people. A bit more seating outside. I have ordered to go food a few times now, meat is always tender, smoked and flavorful, delicious baked beans and tasty kale sautée. Friendly staff who know and like the menu. Nice portions. You are gonna love the food! Sauces are ok, could be better. The ribs and the brisket are the stars here, plus they let you add on ribs one by one to your order! Sorry for my picture I was tearin my plate up! EDIT: Ate there again and their to go boxes are strong, everything is always well packaged, lots of sauces and I love the horseradish sauce it cools down the spicy sauces. Great food nice staff.

The food is always delicious! I’m afraid it’s gone out of business once a week before Labor Day. We live a few floors above them and it’s a great place to have since they have many food options to choose from

We usually order from the one on 1st Avenue on seamless... until we realized there's one closer and down the street. The food here is always good! Definitely was craving bbq! We decided to dine in, the only thing is they're cash only, which was a little inconvenient but otherwise everything else was good.

*Currently cash only* Had two sliders and a "Frito chili pie" that were super delicious!!! Would absolutely recommend the Oklahoma "hots" slider, and the pulled pork was juicy and flavorful as well. Not great for groups (biggest table seats 6) but well-decorated, super friendly, and clean. Will absolutely be going back!

New place in the neighborhood. Has about seating room for 26-30 people. Not a complicated menu just straightforward.food is made to order so it might be a little wait. They seem to have in house items like lemonade, barbeque's and potato chips. Food I had was good will swing back around if to see if it get any better, check it out.

Wonderful little place the owner is very nice. I ended up ordering an Oklahoma BBQ Mix lunch special that included a bbq rib, pulled pork, & beef brisket. For my 2 sides I got the mac and cheese and French friends. I have to say best mac and Cheese I have ever had. The food was delicious so I highly recommend it just be prepared for a smaller portion!! :-)

Had the BBQ Brisket Platter. It was a far cry from being called a platter. Small portions. For costing as much as it did. The brisket look and tasted as if it was reheated within an inch of its life left. Dry. Only good bit was the coleslaw. Got the potato. Zero seasoning. Order a pecan pie. It was just a sliver of a pie for $4. Tasted good but didn’t appreciate the portion. Only had one try for me. I won’t be returning.

Whoever the chef is needs to be executed, the food was not what this place used to be can''t be the same owner. Delivery driver took hours to come and they messed up my order twice. The ribs were the worst ribs I ever ate they gave me and the smoked mac and gouda was like eating a soup of cheese with drenched overcooked pasta. Digestion following this repulsive food was obviously a very tough and painful process I want to apologize to my stomach. Do not eat in this place save yourself.

Au Jus is located on Lexington Ave between 100st and 101st in East Harlem.. It is small, yet cozy, and has been there several years. With that being said, I have tried their food twice, and I will never try again. Unfortunately, the food is tasteless and overpriced, and the portion sizes are very small. I ordered their flounder platter my second time ordering from them, and the back of my fish was soggy and tasted like frozen fish. I had their gouda smoked Mac & Cheese, which was cold and tasteless. And I had roasted red potatoes which had a little flavor but looked and tasted as if they sat around all day. Also, I noticed a 15% gratuity charge on my receipt for takeout.. Which is fine, but I think customers should know that they have to pay gratuity on takeout orders as well as dine-in. The food is too expensive!! Especially for the portion size and quality, I won't be eating here again!!

This food is cold and nasty. They really do their door dash orders bad. Half a rack of ribs and only a dipping cup on bbq sauce? I guess you pay for the ribs and they skimp you EVERYWHERE ELSE. Don’t get the stuffing.

I use to love coming to eat here. I stopped by today and first of all they didn’t even greet us like before. When we walked in it smelled like burnt bacon. It didn’t smell pleasant like before. We asked the kid behind the counter and he said new staff same owner. The owner clearly doesn’t know what he’s doing. He needs to bring back the old staff. Horrible customer service. No greeting, no water no nothing. No fish tacos, no pico, nothing. The smell was the worst. 😂🤢🤮
