Bluestone Lane New York Reviews
The banana, spinach, almond butter smoothie is divine. Staff are very kind and adding up with the location, it makes a must visit place when in the Upper East Side. Their filtered coffee taste really nice too. Altogether my husband and I visited the coffee shop 3x this week, after our central park morning runs. Loved it, recommend it and we’re going to miss this cozy coffee shop with delicious food.
Was pleasantly impressed with this place. The food was pretty good, but it was the service that stood out. I’m not really a coffee person and a long night had left me feeling a bit drained and rough. When Shay, my server noticed my struggling, she recommended a lemongrass ginger tea that really helped my throat and made it easier for me to relax. Would definitely recommend, especially if Shay is working.
This is such a cozy place ☕️🍨🧁🥧🍫It’s the perfect spot to grab a coffee or brunch and unwind, especially after a walk through Central Park. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a modern, chic vibe that makes you want to stay and relax for a while. The coffee here is top-notch—smooth, rich, and brewed to perfection. I went for a flat white (because, Bluestone Lane, of course!), and it was amazing. The avocado toast is next-level too—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell they put thought into every detail. The outdoor seating is a huge plus, especially on a sunny day. You can sip your coffee while people-watching or soaking in the quiet charm of the Upper East Side. The staff is super friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Whether you’re looking for a quick caffeine fix, a delicious breakfast, or just a chill place to hang out, Bluestone Lane is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back 🌝
Stopped by Bluestone Lane mid-day on Sunday and really enjoyed the food and coffee! The space itself is striking. It’s connected to the Church of the Heavenly Rest, which makes for a beautiful setting. It’s a small café, so there was about a 10-minute wait for a table. My friend and I sat at a communal table with three other people. I ordered the iced mocha, my friend had the blueberry matcha, and we split the avocado toast. Everything was delicious! I especially appreciated that the avocado toast was fresh, with the perfect avocado-to-bread ratio…no soggy toast here, just crisp and easy to eat. Exactly as our food arrived, the hostess asked us to move to another table to accommodate a larger group. While the request was a bit abrupt, we didn’t mind once we settled into our new seats. The only other downside was the menu, which was a little hard to read because of the plastic cover. Overall, a beautiful café with great food and drinks, though it might not be ideal for remote work due to the limited space.
A cute little spot I’d recommend to come to for breakfast or lunch before heading over to Central Park. The interior is super cool as it is located in the church and the location is great. The food was good and served rather quickly. You have several add-on options to your food. However, it was very hot inside and with the open kitchen aesthetic, it is very loud and the smell of cooking was quite strong.
For a very small shop, this spot has some great character. The brunch/lunch wait is most definitely worth it. Coffee was tasteful and simple. Myself, ordering the warm chicken bowl and ancient grain bowl- chicken was thin and rubbery. But this did not take away from the flavor of the bowl. Just a product of shrinkflation I’d suppose. The wrap and sandwich are a similar situation. Come check it out!
Small cafe tucked inside of a church. Food so consistently pleasant for cafe fare. Not too many things to choose from to eat if you want something more substantial. Drinks are also consistent and good. Space is cute since it’s inside of an old building. Doors don’t close properly during windy days so it can be freezing in there while trying to eat.
I drove here from lower Manhattan to meet my friend. I payed for the parking. Came to this cafe and was just waiting for my friend. When waiter came I just asked very politely for the tap water. Tap water. Don't know what was his problem. But he got me only on the 3rd time. Ok. But then he told me it's because of my accent. He definitely has the accent too. But I was polite not to continue this conversation. That was rude. And please, management teach your staff at least some manners. And specifically to the waiter- if you want tips- use your brains not to mention everything is on your mind out loud. We left the cafe right away, when my friend came in. That's not acceptable. He ruined all my good mood. P.S. my native language is Russian. And of course I have an accent. But it's not that thick to have difficulties to understand "tap water". If you keep bringing this tap water 5 days a week for 8 hours
