I've eaten in and taken-away- Fantastic atmosphere, switched on service and the food is fantastic! They deliver quickly and the food comes hot with great portion sizes. If I lived it it would be a regular!

Best chicken masala in town. Amazing curry, fresh naan. Great service, nice people. It's a little pricey, but definitely worth it. I got there for my indian nights. I just love this place.

Very good Indian food. Staff is nice. I liked it before they had the buffet and I like it even more now. Highly recommended.

Come for the lunch buffets! The selection is wonderful and the food could not be better. There's always good salads, soups and indian dessert!

What a delight! The best Indian food I have had and I've had it often. We were treated like royalty by the attentive staff. The prices were quite reasonable, too. Brick Lane Curry House will stay on my radar for future meals in Manhattan.

Updating my review as I've now been several times. Brick Lane Curry House keeps getting better and better. The menu offers an array of dishes, both standard and more unique. Curries are bright, flavorful, and delicious. Rice is aromatic and fluffy, even when reheated the next day. The space is nicely decorated, sleek and modern and handsomely wood paneled. Service is pleasant and accommodating. A lovely option in the neighborhood.

If you don't feel like reading the whole review, it ends with there was raw chicken on the buffet. I told them about it (very nicely) and they still left it out for other guests to eat. Service was pretty non-existent. This was sometime around January 21 or 22, 2016. Here's the full review: Jackson Diner on University is closed for biz, so I decided to give the LUNCH BUFFET here a try. The first few things I tried were all DELICIOUS... I was so excited to find such a fantastic Indian Buffet near me, I was also terrified that I would gain 50 lbs in the next few months from eating here everyday. My 2nd trip to the buffet, I decided to try the Tandoori Chicken. I bit into it and it was raw... not undercooked... raw. The meat was cooked about 2mm in and the rest was pink and cold. I figured anyone can make a mistake, so I let the (completely uninterested) waiter know and nicely told him that I didn't want anything else, but that he might want to let the kitchen know that the chicken isn't cooked. Here's where the 1 star comes in... no apology, clearly couldn't care less and here's the kicker. They left the chicken on the buffet. Any restaurant that leaves raw chicken out AFTER they've been told about it needs to be shut down.

I went here for lunch with some friends the other day. They have an amazing lunch special: $12 for curry, naan (you can ask for garlic), dal of the day, a veggie dish (we had potatoes and peas), and rice. Everything was delicious but none of it was really mind blowing, which is fine. Pretty standard Indian fare. Brick Lane is pricier than many other local Indian restaurants for dinner, but it's a solid lunch spot.

The food is very good spicy and tasty. The typical Indian lamb and the bread with garlic were amazing. The roasted veggies were very good. My favorite was that at happy hour the wine is only half price!

Ordered delivery. Good but pricey. This is definitely the best Indian food on the UES and in Spanish Harlem. The Madras chicken curry was flavorful, moist and not greasy. The rice was fluffy.

Went here for the Phal Curry Challenge. Intense spicy food! Loved the challenge but the food was mediocre. :/

Food was great! after a 2 hour delivery wait time and warming it up in my friend's microwave. Maybe I caught them on a bad night. Seamless refunded my meal which was a plus....but that was after an unfortunate conversation with a gentleman who works at this place. I was told on the phone, if you are a trusted, loyal customer here you are treated well...otherwise you wait 2 hours for delivery with no compensation customer service and they'll hang up the phone on you mid-sentence like a highschooler. But great food once I got it....and warmed it up.

Went last night. Wanted to love it, but the food was not fresh. Serving rice in a small, cramped, round dish completely obliterated the beauty of what basmati rice is all about-- long, delicate, and separated grains of rice. Food appeared cold/microwaved. Not fresh. The lamb korma was more of a lamb, coconut stew...not a traditional korma (maybe they misheard what we ordered, but saying as though we were the only people in there, I find that hard to believe). Will never go back. Save the time and MONEY (holy moly, $20 for biryani is unacceptable) and go to Jackson Heights, or better yet, Edison in NJ instead.

The service couldn't be more horrible. The staff is simply rude! Food was ok, but manager was so rude up to the point that I didn't leave tip and left the restaurant not wanting to even smile at him!! Never going there again!

Have been wanting to get into here for since it opened. Was a big fan of the LES location. Tried to go here last weekend only to discover that it was seized by the state. No curry for me.
