Burrata Basil Pizza New York Reviews
I was so pleasantly surprised by Burrata Basil’s Pizza it was actually so good. I tried two slices. First of course I had to get the Burrata Basil slice I mean it’s literally in the name i’m not not going to… This slice was EXCELLENT. Especially the crust like it was such a nice firm crunch. Not like a crispy crunch but a firm crunch which I find very rare in pizza so this was great. That and the burrata was so good here and actually had a good amount so almost every bite had some burrata in it. 5/5 star slice. I also tried the pepperoni which I thought was fine. Not as crunchy I think because of the amount of grease which was crazyyyy it was flowing like a river omg. But the pepperoni and the overall flavor of the slice was nice.
Delicious pizza with fresh ingredients. Great friendly service too. A top quality pizza spot in the overcrowded pizza scene... Unlike some places that overheat their slices, the pizza at Burrata Basil is cooked to a tasty hot and edible texture that is just addictive. I could have an entire pie of the burrata basil pizza. My friends and I are definitely coming back!!!
Recently had Burrata pizza for the first time. Was a big fan of Chicken Bacon Ranch slice. Many NYC pizzerias will charge $5/6 dollars for a speciality slice and Burrata is no different. However, the slice you get is hearty and dense. Mine was fresh and felt the quality of ingredients was high. Nice, quick service as well. (Picture doesn’t do the slice justice)
Great pizza (base more on the crispy side), very generous amount of toppings ( pepperoni slice is 90% covered), great prices (<=$5 mostly) and above average slice size. Strongly recommend. Sitting is really limited though (max 5 people). The slices and pies with burrata are slightly more expensive but worth trying. The supreme slice was amazing. They also sell salads and heros.
Always amazing, fast, and kind service! Easily my favorite pizza place in NYC and that’s a big title from someone who’s lived here for years. The pizza is everything a new york slice should be, crispy on the bottom, flavorful and fresh. It’s a must have whether you’re new or born and raised here.
I came here twice within just 3 days, because the pizza-by-the-slice is excellent. I highly recommend trying their Burrata Special slice. It comes with large slices of burrata cheese and is delicious. This is a really authentic NY Style pizza place. 2 slices should fill you up nicely. The price is not too expensive and overall great pizza! 🙌🏻
The food is prepared perfect, the pizza was delicious, the slices are so big, only one detail, i think the price is kind of high.
My friends in NY say this is their pick for best pizza in the city and brought me here. There's barely any seating so it's best for takeout. After I picked the slices I wanted, they quickly warmed them up and brought them out to me in a box. I tried a classic burrata basil slice at the friends' recommendation and a baked eggplant with burrata slice (same as the burrata basil but with eggplant and peppers). Honestly the NY style pizza is not my favourite (sacrilege) so I find it hard to make a great judgement, but I did enjoy this pizza even if I wasn’t wowed. Biting into the rounds of burrata on each slice was heavenly though. I preferred the baked eggplant and burrata slice because I like lots of vegetables on my pizza. The slices are large but affordable.
stopped by Burrata Pizza for a slice and it did not disappoint. there are several seats along one side of the small pizza place (no tables) and there’s a bench outside. the order counter has a variety of slices and pies on display. slices range in price from $3.50 to $5. cash and card accepted. no ac, just fans so it’s like 18 billion degrees inside even on a 80° day! aaargh the “Classic” aka a plain NYC slice is really good. thin blanket of melted mozzarella; floating on a layer of flavorful sauce; all balanced on a relatively thin crisp crust with some chew. honestly the plain slice has what you want in a NYC slice: a balance of seasoned flavors, aromas, and textures. my slice from a freshly baked pie—and that made it all all the better. “Classic” slice, $3.50 + tip staff are friendly with customers and work hard
Staff was a bit rude, atmosphere was tight. Not all is negative, they have good slice variety. I recommend Pop’s down the street for a good slice and even better people.
Meh. This was never the most OG pizza place but wow has it gone downhill to appeal to the masses. Slices so hot they can't be held and fall all over the place, buskers coming in to bother customers and too wimpy of a staff to say anything, gross lighting and no even attempt at character. I bet some boss is laughing as he rakes in cash on farming out the business to short order cooks and transplants, but as a local and native New Yorker, everything about this place has just become lazy.
One of the worst slices I’ve had in the city. Cheap/old cheese, crust fell apart the moment I folded it (and I don’t think it was meant to be eaten BiBlasio style as there were no forks or knives ;) and horrible service. The staff yell were yelling at each other behind the counter and one tossed a ball of dough on the floor. Walk the extra (admittedly long) block to Artichoke. You’ll be better off.
