Charlie's Place New York Reviews
Their restaurant encourages you to linger and relax. Small place, impressive kitchen output. Their dishes contain recently made elements. The staff seems chosen for physical qualities. This restaurant impressed me completely.
Been coming here for years, this place serve good Japanese food and at a decent prices for many years. My favorite is always bento (any bento) and soup. Also want to add, this is the first Japanese restaurant I ate from. Thus begin my journey to try many different Japanese restaurants for their food and cultures.
One of New York's iconic eateries right In the heart of Harlem. Very friendly atmosphere, great service outstanding food that was so good. I went back two days in a row for the unbelievable delicious sushi 🍣 . Thanks Kim💕
Tried this place because the prices and pictures looked good, also because it’s hard to find Korean food in this area. Was pleasantly surprised how authentic the food tasted - comforting for a Korean American! I’m glad I found this spot, will be a regular. Restaurant is clean! The takeout packaging also is done well, you can tell they know what they’re doing and are experienced.
Needed to grab a quick bite before taking the train back to Connecticut and this spot was near the Harlem station. Location was nice and quiet. Service was great and they were very friendly. Food was great and super reasonably priced! Recommend the California roll, Philadelphia roll, and spider roll. The chicken teriyaki combo platter was good too.
I was craving sushi today , and decided to put my google map and the place near by was Charlie’s place, I believe the lady who is at the register is the owner, amazing customer service she was so sweet, food was absolutely delicious, definitely going back , highly recommended this place to everyone
Highly recommended spot! The food was fresh and served quickly at affordable prices. Portions were generous, and I was thrilled they offered Ramune soda. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The only downside was the lack of heating, which made the dining experience a bit chilly and less comfortable. Overall, great food and service!
the food quality has diminished since switching from Charlie’s to Harlem Sushi! I work nearby so often buy the udon when the weather permits. today I thought I would try the dumpling, but the dumpling is completely falling apart in the broth! it’s falling apart like layers in phyllo dough. i’m disappointed / i miss the friendly lady in front and tasty, correct orders.
This place is very delicious and keep in mind, this is a sushi place. I’ve gone to this place many times and the sushi is delicious but the service is not that great. The woman at the front counter is very nice but whenever we want Sushi , I guess it’s up to the Sushi shaft and they have weird hours too. Very disappointing. I wish they would stay consistent.
