Chomp Chomp New York Reviews
still thinking about the khao soi from chomp chomp thai. had the lunch special and the portion was generous (basically got my daily protein requirement from the juicy chicken thighs!), the broth was rich and hearty, and the crispy egg noodles made for such a delightful contrast. had it medium spicy and could have asked for a little spicier! but will be coming back because the food was delicious!
Veeery good Thai Restaurant, I love the small size of the place, feels more intimate than others and not that crowded. Also the prices are very good in relation to how delicious the food is. I love to go there! Pad Se Ew is great.
The grilled tofu and rice noodles are sooo delicious and comforting! It’s a narrow but very welcoming space, and the prices are surprisingly not New York!
I would say this is the officially the best Thai food in the city. It is very flavorful. The price and the quantity is unbeatable. I had so many BBQ pork in all Thai places. But this place overdone itself. The papaya salad is classic and cannot go wrong.
I came here for khao soi, and it was amazing. I got the lunch special, which came with spring rolls, and my total bill was just under 20 dollars. Every other place in NYC has khao soi for about 25 dollars, so this place gives you a great bang for your buck. Service was great as well. I will definitely come back to try more on the menu.
Really outstanding Thai spot with good lunch specials! Service is always top notch and the depth and flavors of the dishes are truly authentic and well done. Reasonable prices for the lunch special which comes with either soup or spring roll. One note is the Tom Yum soup is more of the traditional type, with a clear & more spicy sour flavor as opposed to the type with coconut milk that you might find in most American Thai spots. Not a criticism by any means, but something to note! Super warm & friendly service, I will be back :)
Really good thai spot! Stopped by last night with some friends and enjoyed all the dishes, everything was soo good, from the shrimp to duck, to pork pad see ew and minced pork dish, flavorful and yummy. Their iced tea was good too! Highly recommended. Small space though so come early to beat the crowd. Friendly staff!
As an avid lover of Thai food, Food was actually good ! The place has limited sittings, so bear in mind if you walk-in with big company. Tom Yum Chicken was a bit too spicy, but it had lots of protein inside like chicken and etc. and overall experience was pleasant. Recommend for solo-dining if you’re looking for something quick and tasty.
Such a cute little spot - came on a fairly cold day but the interior is warm and cozy! Got the lunch special on a weekend which is always appreciated. $11 for some of the crispiest spring rolls and a generous portion of drunken noodles. Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable!
Absolutely amazing prices for excellent prices and good quality food! The fried tofu (5/5) was incredible - crispy, hot, bit silky on the inside. The khao soi (4/5) was well flavored and the potions? Wow wee they literally put in 3 chicken thighs and it fed me for 2 days after. It's literally giant. Tom Kha (4.5/5) was also delicious! Service was also amazing!
The spring rolls were my favorite by far, so good we had to order an extra round. The garlic sauce beef was amazing. Between the red and green curry, I preferred the red but both were solid. The rest of the food was okay. Prices were good and portions were generous, but the amount of protein was very low, especially in the curries. Service was outstanding, big shoutout to the team for taking great care of us.
