Dudleys New York Reviews
Had a great brunch here on a warm, muggy day. We sat outside and the fans and shade were perfect and comfortable. I had the ricotta pancakes and a side of hash browns- really good. My friends had the BLT and the breakfast sandwich. We all shared the banana bread-which was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Coffee and juices seemed good too though I didn’t have any.
This place is awesome! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive. The breakfast / brunch menu is delicious and satisfying, with a variety of dishes to suit every taste. I loved every bite and can't wait to come back. This is a must-try spot for anyone who loves good food and good vibes. 👌
Been coming here for years. The staff, bartender and everyone is always super polite and nice. In particular the woman behind the bar was so considerate and polite. She chatted with our party and was very nice. I love their food, in particular I’ve always loved their smash burger. Drinks are strong, location is excellent, vibes are always on point!
We come here almost weekly and it never disappoints! the drinks and food (highly recommended the leeks and schnitzel) both 10/10 shoutout to Kevin love you! ❤️
Came in for an evening bite at the bar. I thoroughly enjoyed the steak and frites!! Tatiana the bartender was attentive and quick with her service! Would come back
Great place for a bite and drinks! Bartenders (Fid/Derek) were very knowledgeable on drinks, not to mention the food was tasty too. I would recommend the spicy shrimp to start and tiramisu for dessert. Need to come again to try out the entrees. Big shout out to the bar manager Anthony for making our dinning experience even more enjoyable!
One of my favorite places to dine in the lower east side :) Drinks and food are always consistently delicious. Kevin, Tatiana, and Angelina were all so warm and welcoming, they made my cold winter day so bright! Thank you guys for a great experience <3
Since my husband was born in Sydney and I’ve been to the land down under, I wanted to see how authentic this place was. We had a wonderful experience! Beautiful decor and friendly, sincere service. Take a look at the presentation of our food… yeah and it tastes so delicious too! Can’t wait to go back and have dinner and sit outside. Excellent latte and juices too. The Pineapple Mint was so refreshing.
Another great Australian coffee shop for a weekend brunch. Everything we tried was good - from the avocado toast to the banana bread from the burger to the pancakes. Service was incredible and our waitress Kat recommendations were on point. Can’t wait to go back and try their eggs Benedict
The environment is cute, good food delicious coffees which is really hard to say in a brunch spot. They charged $1 for a splash of oat-milk for the drip coffee. Which really makes me mad. The “ Ricotta Cake’s” were extremely delicious. “Shrimp Linguine” was delicious, it was small portion anyways. They grilled the shrimp which makes it looks so delicious. Highly recommend the “ Smoked salmon Benedict” it was the best I have ever had in nyc. They have the same menu as Ruby’s. The service was fine, the server was really nice. Drinks we order served really late but overall success brunch experience.
Very busy brunch spot. Reservations are highly recommended. Food is delicious and served fast. I love the pasta dishes. Portion is big enough for me. 1 dish is enough. I ordered 1 pasta and 1 granola bowls and it’s too much. Services are nice. Our server check in with us regularly and make sure we have everything. The four of us spent a bit over $100 which is pretty cost effective.
Warm, delicious, really good vibe. Kevin served us at the bar, and he was incredible! Perfect place for a meal after a movie.
What an amazing energetic place filled with love and hospitality. We walked in not knowing what to expect. Can be busy so expect to be on a waiting list which is very quick. I really enjoyed their pancakes dish topped with fresh fruit. What really surprised me was their Iced coffeeee. Amazing food, fast and responsive staff and gave us things on the house. Thank you for an amazing experience and will be back.
The ricotta pancakes were delicious! Served with caramelized bananas, nutella, and maple syrup - have them whichever way you prefer. The smoked salmon benedict has somewhat of a tabasco flavour in the hollandaise and the sauce is a bit of a hot cheese consistency. So it can be a hit or miss depending on your tastes. The space is cute with tables lining the perimeter with of the restaurant. There is also dining outside. Came on a warm Saturday around 10:15am in November and was seated immediately. Decent prices.
not just breakfast. dope spot for dinner as well. nice staff. stiff drinks. great prices. they have great specials sometimes, and the vegan selection is pretty stellar but they don't have any vegan desserts? but you gotta ask for the secret menu!! the fairy bread is super delicious and reminds me of my trip to australia! can't wait to come back!
The food was amazing and the service was really quick. Inside was packed, but there were tables open outside. We ended up waiting a little longer because of a mix-up with the hostess, but other than that everything was great. The burger bun was delicious, and so were the fries and coffee. Definitely 100% recommended.
Took myself out one night and randomly ended here. I must say I really enjoyed my visit here. The staff was nice and friendly. The drinks were well prepared and so tasty. For my entrée I got the shrimp pasta which was absolutely bomb, it was basically a party in my mouth by how much flavor was in there.
We managed to get a walk-in table for two in under 10 minutes during Sunday brunch— lucky for us! Fun vibes, great service, delicious food. I was more in a lunch mood so I got a cheeseburger with fries, it was perfectly simple and just the right amount of food. I’ll need to go back and try the banana bread, it looked yummy.
Excellent service! You can eat healthy here too! A nice change of pace! They even let us create a bacon toast, fruit custom breakfast for my nine-year-old daughter who is a very picky eater✨
Dudley’s was a nice surprise! The food is excellent at a very good price point and the ambiance is casual and lively. The menu offers a lot of variety and the food came out quickly. The only complaint is that after our server took our order, he completely disappeared. We had to waive him down to pay and he didn’t seem bothered by our discontent. Minus that particular server, everything else was great. Would definitely recommend!
I stopped by Dudley's during my trip to New York with a friend and it was great. It looks to be a trendy Australian restaurant in the lower eastiside that services casual dining. The food and the environment were great for catching up with a friend on a nice spring evening. Here are some take aways: Environment Great space with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It was easy to book reservations. We chose to sit outside to take in the wonderful weather. It was somewhat cozy in the outside space but not too bad. Really nice casual and relaxed vibe that is great for friends and family. You also get a great view of the bustling streets if you're in to people watching like I am. Service The service at at Dudleys was solid. Our server was friendly, attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. The food and drinks were delivered promptly. Overall, it was great service. Food and drinks The food was delightful. For our appetizer we had the whipped ricotta and it was absolutely delicious. For my entree, I kept it simple with a burger and fries that I really enjoyed and would recommend. My friend had the shrimp linguine and she loved it. The drink I had was also refreshing and a tasty. Overall my meal and drink was great and I''m excited to return and try other items off of the menu. Overall Dudley's is a great choice for both drinks and food. I had a great meal and a great time with my friend. I'm glad that we stopped by. I will definitely be back to explore more of their menu.
Went to Dudley’s for a quick happy hour drink with friends but ended up staying for hours to have dinner. We sat at the bar and our bartender, Tatiana, was the best! She was super friendly, was making excellent drinks, and really made the whole evening so much fun!! We’ll definitely be back!
Great brunch spot- we walked in on a saturday with a group of 5 around noon and they were able to seat us outside with no wait! They were definitely pretty busy and we were pretty lucky that they could accommodate us. The staff was friendly and all the food and drinks were so delicious. My friends got some cocktails which they loved and I got a chai latte which was so yummy. The crispy rice salad (and we added salmon) was really good and the bronte burger was so juicy. We also got the Ricotta Hotcakes to share a sweet dish and it was made well and nothing too crazy but very classic and homey. It was a great place to catch up with friends with delicious food and drinks! Come Again? Yes !! Love a good reliable classic brunch spot and they do it well here!
20 min on wait list (they notify via text) to get seated for brunch. They have nice staff, a wonderful atmosphere, and excellent tastes. I had their hot cake and added berries. It was outstanding. Others ordered Benedict and Fried chicken sandwiches, and they were also perfect. I see their passion to make the delicious food to the details including sides. Definitely recommend.
Came in last night. Martinis were top notch! Bartender was named kevin and he took great care and was great company. Shout out also to the guy who was at the door (didnt catch a name, strawberry blonde guy with hand/finger tattoos) --- everything was amazing! 10/10
I love Ruby’s and when I sat down I realized that they’re from the same restaurant group! How fun! Went on president’s day and had a 45 minute wait when we showed up around 11:40. It ended up being less time than that but still great for peak brunch hours! Banana bread: very good, super tender and loved that they pan toast it. Succulent with the butter Truffle fries: personally I like their regular fries better with the truffle aioli, but these were still fun Ricotta hotcakes: WOW! Really loved these. The hotcakes weren’t sweet and you could taste the ricotta. The Nutella and the syrup both were good with them! Chicken schnitzel: chicken was a bit dry, but flavorful. The corn purée was incredible, and the salad was delicious.
My dog and I loved it here! Not only they welcomed my dog, they made sure I wasn’t uncomfortable having my dog in a restaurant. The ricotta pancake was topnotch! Fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. Not a fan of berries so stuck with bananas. The avocado toast looked good from what I saw though. Service was very friendly, attentive, and smooth. It gets packed on Sundays, understandably so. But if you don’t mind the buzz, then it should be fine. Comfy seats even the bar stools. I’ll be back for sure!
I’ve been coming here for four years and some change and even though the interior has changed since then, the food, service, and drinks never do. Always such a great experience here. Was having a rough day but Angelina and Kevin took such great care of me and made my day <3
Just want to shout out Kevin the bartender real quick, because he can actually make a New York sour like no problem vs multiple other bars I’ve been to where they scratch their chin a bit and ask me if to confirm the mix. And also to whoever the chill blonde dude as the host tonight as well. Great vibes, and appreciate the service!
One of my favorite restaurants in the lower east side. The service is excellent. Tatiana and Kevin made amazing drinks at the bar and were so kind to us. Will definitely be coming back!!
I discovered this place by chance on Google Maps because I was looking for a place to have breakfast where they baked sweet pancakes, so driven a bit by curiosity and instinct I came here. Needless to say, I tried some of the best pancakes in my life and I sensed from the moment I sat down how much the guys who work here were so happy to carry out a passion of theirs and how much they also were then united and in tune with each other. In the meantime I was having breakfast then I found out that in addition to salads and burgers they also made pasta, and as a faithful and good Italian as I am, in America for more than 5 days without having seen even a shadow of it seemed like a utopia to me, so after paying the breakfast bill I immediately made a reservation for the same evening and went back there. That night there then I tried the pasta and in addition also a small hamburger since I was still hungry and I must say I was really impressed with both! Usually Americans don't know how to cook pasta because it's not really a dish of their culture but these guys here were really phenomenal, and for being non-Italians they cooked a pasta from at least 9/10 (so if you are an Italian who is desperately looking for something similar to our cuisine this here is just the place for you). I came back then again this evening then again getting a first and second course and a dessert so as not to miss anything at all. Everything was delicious and for both dinners the guys were really super friendly and professional, laughing and joking with me often but also worrying every 2/3 minutes that everything was fine and even coming to pour water in my glass without me obviously asking for it. In short, a true queen's treatment! And that is not at all a given here. It was a wonderful experience that I will certainly carry in my heart forever as well as I know that these guys can go very far indeed. They really deserve so much. True yes, they definitely won't be a starred restaurant (for now) but as a variety of dish choices and professionalism they beat all New York restaurants. And also then the atmosphere that they offer them in dim lights is really relaxing for anyone and romantic. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!😍❤️
Very nice food, although I felt the portions could be a little bigger. Truffle fries is no longer available. Loud when we were there are prime dinner time. I’m so glad they had a cider option!
I love Dudley’s - we always come here for their delicious, healthy Big Brekkie & their drinks — both their fresh juices & super inventive cocktails! Definitely go see Tatiana and ask for a Banana Daiquiri — she doesn’t disappoint! Thank you - be back soon :)
We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch here! Staff was super friendly, the organic eggs with salad was so flavorful and the banana bread was truly fantastic! Will definitely come back!!
My first time at Dudley’s was better than I could’ve imagined.. walking in randomly, I was greeted by friendly staff with no wait during happy hour. My bartender, Kevin, was extremely attentive and kept vibes high all night. Food and atmosphere - top tier. I’ll be making more trips to the LES just to stop by Dudley’s!
Great food and service e. A staple for us when we go to the movies nearby. Kevin is an amazing bartender. This was our first time back after renovating the space. Smaller bar but added tables for service. We will be back.
It tastes as good as it looks!!! This is an amazing breakfast place! Hidden Gem in this neighborhood as bad as the area has gotten. This place really stands out, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely perfect! The breakfast platter was one of the best, very well presented and perfectly cooked ingredients coming at $19. You can't beat that in the city. The breakfast sandwich was usually amazing, I love a good sandwich but this had such a unique and delicious flavor.
Cute place. I randomly came across this restaurant on a walk and decided to come in for a quick drink while I waited for a friend. I had a yummy banana daiquiri and Tatiana was an awesome bartender! Great conversation. I’ll definitely be back.
Great Cafe / restaurant! Service was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent - the hotcakes were some of the best I have had. We also had the eggs benedict, BLT and a Big breakfast plate - all were well above average. Were only there for brunch, but went by in the evening and the place was packed. Very nice overall atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Had a great dinner here! Hayley was amazing! She was super sweet and our food came out really quick. Ellis was also so kind! Recommend this place! Get the Long Story Short cocktail!
my friends and i could describe our experience like this: chic, home-y, and delectable. ambience is so adorable, and service is quick & friendly! we were all blown away with our dishes. we got: shrimp linguine 10/10 salmon eggs benedict 8/10 egg sandwich 11/10 we will be returning again, don’t miss out on this spot!
We’re visiting from out of town, and this place is an absolute VIBE! Our bartender, Tatiana, was incredibly friendly and welcoming and she really knows how to make a great drink. Her smile can light up a room. Happy hour is where it’s at! We’re so thankful for the amazing experience and will definitely be back.
Loved having Kevin as my bartender. He made me one of my favorite cocktails I’ve ever had….I will literally never be the same. It was off menu and called Winter Storm. Make sure to ask for it!! So divine
Sat at the bar for dinner, but the absolute highlight were our bartenders. Kevin and Tatiana made the best cocktails off the menu, but also custom made drinks to our liking that were absolutely out of this world. 10/10 flavor and creativity! Can’t wait to come back.
Stopped in for dinner with a friend of mine off of a recommendation from a mutual friend of ours. We were both extremely happy that we took the recommendation. The area of course is beautiful, but the restaurant has an absolutely lovely aesthetic and atmosphere. Also, the service was phenomenal and the recommendations were on point. I cannot remember his name but we had an extremely pleasant young man with curly brown hair and a mustache. He was very prompt and friendly, and when asked, he made a truly excellent recommendation on a few special modifications to the chicken sandwich, which we both ordered. I’ll just say that he knows what he’s talking about and if you happen to get him as a waiter make sure to ask if you’re in the mood first a very tasty tweak to a classic. Service was speedy and prices were exceptionally fair considering the quality and the enjoyment. Would heavily recommend this spot as a fun evening out.
Amazing food. Cozy Ambience. Everything I would look for in a complete brunch. We ordered the chicken schnitzel, shrimp linguine, Dudley’s burger and ricotta hotcakes. Everything was exceptional and well seasoned. My friend doesn’t have a sweet tooth but he thoroughly enjoyed the Ricotta hotcakes. Definitely worth the price. A must-try place if you are in Chinatown looking for a good brunch spot.
Came by late Tuesday morning without a reservation. Plenty of space indoors and out (though too hot to sit outside). The food was excellent; you can tell they really care about flavor and presentation. We had the crispy rice salad with chicken and the avocado toast — both were delicious, but heads-up: the toast has a spicy kick. The space is beautiful, with lots of attention to detail, and it’s in a lively part of the city. Service was solid too. Will definitely be back!
07/2025: We were excited to be back and enjoy the quality breakfast again for 2 days in NYC. We tried Ricotta Hotcakes this time and it's delicious and very soft. We also noticed that the staffs are very attentive and friendly. Thank you! 10/2024: The breakfast here is so delicious and we end up coming here the following day. Everything is fresh and cook perfectly. Cappuccino were rich in flavor and we had to have 3 cups with our breakfast. We will come here again when we visit.
Dudley’s is a cozy and delicious Australian-style restaurant in the heart of the LES. I love stopping by here because the staples are always on point, and there’s a great vibe to the place. It’s often busy, making it a perfect spot for people-watching while enjoying a great meal. My go-to favorites are the burgers, fresh salads, and, of course, the pastas. Each entrée is flavorful, satisfying, and guaranteed to hit the spot. The menu is simple but offers consistently delicious options that never disappoint. If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with tasty food, Dudley’s is definitely worth a visit!
I love this resturant the shrimp linguine was amazing. I just wished they had garlic bread with it. Definitely have to go back

We came to NY for one week, and ended up eating at Dudley's three times. There was just no beating the food, the staff, and the prices. Would definitely recommend.
THE best BLT and THE best french fries I've ever had! Great food and a busy, but cosy atmosphere. Mostly a younger crowd, but highly recommended.
We stumbled upon Dudley's and are so glad we did. Fantastic service, reasonably priced and the best seafood Linguini we've ever tasted.

Really delicious avocado toast and salmon Benedict! Good vibe as well as outdoor seating. Would definitely come back for either dish.

Went in for some steak and have had a few drinks. The drinks are good, nothing out of the ordinary. Staff is friendly but not that attentive. It’s blazing hot inside even in this insanely hot weather which is a huge downside and dissuaded me from going back in hot weather. Other than that, tasty food and average drinks!
Don’t want to wait for Golden Diner?! Just a quick 10 minute walk is Dudley’s! I was disappointed that the wait was 1 1/2 hours at Golden but so happy I found Dudley’s! The atmosphere is amazing and beautiful, the food is PHENOMENAL and the service is outstanding! Everything is reasonably priced and all food options looked delicious. I went with the Ricotta Hotcakes and the Strawberry Mint Lemonade. Both were an EASY 5 ⭐️’s. Come here!!
Dudlyes is a perfect spot for good for tasty dishes and a friendly environment. I had heard of Dudleys before, and when I stumbled upon the restaurant on Saturday, I decided to join the waitlist. For a table of six, we waited 20 minutes before being seated and enjoyed chatting and people-watching in the outdoor seating. We ordered Brussels Sprouts and Calamari to share, then tried the Crispy Rice Salad, Fried Chicken Sandwich, and the Dudleys Chop Salad. We enjoyed drinking lattes and matcha while we waited for our food. The service was quick, and the servers were amiable. Dudlyes is a perfect brunch/lunch spot for tasty food in the lower east side.
I recently visited Dudley's for an early morning brunch. The food here is great, the pancake def worth trying!. Their coffee, in particular, was a standout However, there was a slight hiccup regarding seating. Despite noticing some free tables, we were not offered one and ended up sitting at the bar. While this didn't majorly detract from our experience, it was a bit of a letdown given the availability of more comfortable seating. In summary, Dudley's is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for great food and coffee, combined with a pleasant atmosphere and service.
I recently visited Dudleys in the Lower East Side and had a pleasant experience. The pancakes were particularly delicious, and the overall food quality was good. I also enjoyed the salad, which was fresh and flavorful. While the service was not overly welcoming, it was still acceptable for a casual spot. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, making it a nice place to enjoy a meal. If you're looking for a low-key dining option in the LES, Dudleys is definitely worth checking out.
best avocado toast!!! I haven’t tried anything else on the menu but from many brunch places I’ve visited, Dudley’s really uses such fresh ingredients and the flavors on the avocado toast is immaculate. I also got the latte, amazing taste just used maybe it was a larger cup?? but overall would definitely come back here
the food was pretty good. we got the ricotta hotcakes, smoked salmon benedict, and the strawberry mint lemonade, which totaled to around $50 inc tip and tax. the pancakes were really thick and creamy, but the sweet bananas, nutella, and syrup helped it go down easier. the smoked salmon is perfect for savory lovers. i loved the runny eggs, bread, and greens. lastly, the strawberry mint lemonade had an interesting flavor. it was slightly carbonated strawberry flavor with a hint of mint. this place definitely has a lot of yummy yummy foods. the inside seating was quite loud as the tables are close to each other. it was kind of difficult to hear each other.
Dudleys is a trendy Australian brunch spot in Lower East Side with thousands of positive reviews. I heard so many good things about their TRUFFLE FRIES. *Truffle Fries $9.5 MUST ORDER. Possibly the best truffle fries I have had in a minute. The truffle flavor wasn’t very strong but it was there, good enough to amplify the aroma of the fries. The fries were made to perfection — thin, hot and crispy. It didn’t feel heavy to eat as a side. We easily finished the entire bowl even we were so stuffed from the mains. *Shrimp Linguine $20 After some brief research, apparently everyone raves about their shrimp linguine. They give five shrimps and a good amount of pasta for the price you’re paying. The pasta was buttery and creamy. The shrimps were bouncy and well-seasoned. It could get a little too heavy towards the end, so I suggest sharing the pasta. *Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict $17 Egg benedict is an Aussie brunch staple. Nothing impressive. It was an average and standard egg benedict, but you can hardly go wrong with this. Yet one of the poached eggs was overcooked. No runny egg yolk it broke my friend’s heart. Overall, I think Dudleys is good but a bit overhyped. I liked their truffle fries and the reasonable pricing of their food, but the service was lacking. Just be mindful that it could get really packed on weekends. I don’t think it’s worth waiting for an hour. We made a res for a weekday afternoon.
Busy weekend brunch spot. Not particularly friendly service. Not attentive either. It hits the mark though. Small portions, fresh flavours, egg sandwich was yum. Juices were popular options for drinks Burgers, sandwiches, salads, bowls, brunch, eggs, lox, options. Wide variety.
Loved this restaurant!! Unfortunately, our seats were super tiny - but that’s probably typical for NYC. Food Ordered: Ricotta Hot Cakes, Egg Sandwich. Drinks Ordered: Cappuccino with almond milk, latte with whole milk. The coffees were great! My pancakes were DELICIOUS. The honeycomb butter was so tasty & unique. Loved the addition of bananas. The egg sandwich was super tasty but my boyfriend accidentally ordered it without the bacon. It should just come with bacon tbh!!! Overall, very cute restaurant - I would come back. Went on 1/22/2024
Cute bar/restaurant with great vibes, good service as well. The crispy rice salad was great for cutting the fat from the other stuff we ordered, it was also definitely one of the most unique salads we’ve had. We got the fried chicken sandwich with croissant - we recommend not getting it with croissant and get the regular bun instead. The croissant makes the sandwich harder to eat and the butter kind of overpowers the chicken. The chicken was a bit too salty but very well fried. I would get that on the side for sure next time if possible. Cheese burger was also pretty good, comes with a decent amount of meat which was nice. Tiramisu was a bit dry and the chocolate mousse was good. Pretty cute spot for a quick date night :)
Tried the cheeseburger here ad it was great. It was a smash burger. Comes with two beef patties and lots of American cheese. Friends got the ricotta pancakes and they were soft and moist too. It gets pretty busy, even for a day in the middle of the week. Tables are a bit small (not an issue). But service was good and the food didn’t take long. Definitely recommend!
walked in for sunday brunch with no reservation and was seated right away since we opted for the high top seating. service was on slower side, which makes sense since it was sunday brunch. staff was friendly, though. very bustling. the ambiance was nothing noteworthy; cute and simple. food was phenomenal, though. we ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes & the eggs Benedict and both were to die for. the eggs were nice and runny and were laid on top of a perfectly crisp not overly greasy couple of pieces of crunchy bacon. both were seeded over this sort of potato hash brown which was nice and crunchy in texture on the outside and hot and soft on the inside. the pancakes were seeded with a side of nutella and syrup. and oh man were they FLUFFY! so good and sweet yet not overly rich.
Went with my husband on a Tuesday morning around 10:45am. We didn't make any prior reservations, we found this restaurant while searching for a breakfast spot on Google maps because we were in the area. The place is cute but small, as are most NYC restaurants. The tables are rather close together so it's hard to squeeze through them with coats on. We were seated at the corner by the back wall. It's dimly lit for a cozy vibe, nice during day time, not sure if it would be too dark after the sun sets. We both ordered their maple cinnamon latte's hot. Even though we ordered the drinks hot, they arrived in a small drinking glass which I assume they were doing for aesthetic reasons but it wasn't practical as the glass was too hot to hold and drink from. A ceramic coffee cup or mug would've been better and could be just as cute. Ordered the ricotta pancakes, shrimp linguine, egg breakfast sandwich with add-on bacon, and a side of fries. The ricotta pancakes don't automatically come with fresh fruit because our server asked us if we would like it on top. My husband requested an add-on of bacon with his breakfast sandwich. He enjoyed the sandwich and said the bacon was nice and crispy, the sandwich overall was light but flavorful and he would recommend it. The ricotta pancakes with the fresh fruit were delicious! Super moist thanks to the ricotta, and it came with a side of maple syrup in a little pour over cup, and a small serving of nutella on the side as well. The fries were really good as well, nice and crispy, not soggy, paired with a truffle aioli, it was definitely my favorite shareable dish. The shrimp linguine was fantastic and our server commented that it was definitely a popular dish and I can see why. The pasta was cooked al dente, shrimp was bouncy and cooked perfectly, the sauce was creamy but not oily or overly heavy. Overall, a great portion for a lunch pasta. The servers and staff were super nice and sweet. There's only one bathroom I believe. We didn't use it during this visit so I can't comment on its cleanliness. The food was great, we really enjoyed our impromptu brunch at this restaurant and we'd love to go back again. I highly recommend visiting!
Had the cheeseburger at Dudley’s, and it was good! The fries and the sauce on the side were really good. Tried the tiramisu for dessert—it was a pretty big slice for one person. I like the taste of it. My friend had the schnitzel and really liked it as well. The bar seating was cozy and nice. The tables are pretty close together, and since it’s usually busy with music playing, you might have to raise your voice a bit to chat. Just something to keep in mind! Overall, I’d definitely go back to try more from the menu. I’ve added photos of the bill and menu if you want to check them out!

Chicken sandwich was amazing! Would definitely come back. The service was subpar though

Service here was phenomenal. Had multiple people continue to check on us. The food is good. Average. The ricotta pancakes were good. The fried chicken sandwich was very bland and not flavorful or spicy. Fries were a 10/10. I will say it’s fresh and you don’t feel heavy after eating. My vanilla latte was great (they make the syrup in house which is a huge plus to me). It wasn’t sugary and you could taste the coffee over the flavor which I loved. We don’t live in the area so we won’t be back and wouldn’t necessarily make a trip back.
Was not particularly impressed. Steak frites was okay. The 3 sauces seemed to degrade the steak, rather than bring it up (two of them served on a plastic cup). Atmosphere was very charming and the front staff was very welcoming. However it seemed the staff rushed me out by 11, even though the business is listed to close at 12. Maybe would have been better to try for breakfast rather than dinner.
I've been here a few times, and the food is always spot on. But my last visit left a bit of a sour taste. While waiting for the bathroom, I overheard the manager talking to a staff member, and hone…
They have really good French fries. However, the service today was really bad. One of the servers spilled French fries on my lap as he was setting down the plate—probably spilled about 10-12 of them on me. He said “sorry, the kitchen plated it wrong”. But didn’t offer to get us more, didn’t really make much of an effort, and also didn’t clean them up. They took a very long time to get us a water refill, and also completely forgot my friend’s order of the daily soup and never brought it. We also ordered a chopped salad that tasted kind of like compost—not fresh. Anyway, their fries are great. Otherwise, it was a miss.
This was truly one of my favourite restaurants but they recently removed two of my favourite dishes: the half rotisserie chicken and the iconic Dudley’s chicken roll. I’ve spoken to many others and they all feel the same way. @Dudleys please let us know if it would be possible to bring these menu items back so we can all go back to our favourite LES spot :)
This past experience at Dudley’s was disappointing. Let me start by saying overall the food was good. Unfortunately the service was lacking on such a substantial level it genuinely disrupted our meal. From beginning to end, each part of our meal was missing or not prepared as ordered. I am not talking about modifications either. I ordered a chicken sandwich on a croissant (because that’s an option on the menu) and it came on a bun. Ok that’s understandable. Then, none of our sides came out and had to be reordered over halfway through our meal (and then we had to wait for them to be made). This was baffling because the staff who took our order confirmed what we had ordered twice. We also didn’t have silverware until over halfway through the meal and had to ask for it. We were seated at the bar and had to loudly call over the bar staff to ask for anything because they didn’t start checking on us until they found out the order was wrong. That made us uncomfortable as the restaurant was not busy and having never had to do that made us feel like annoying customers. This was genuinely bad service and I cannot remember the last time I had service like this in NYC. The standard is generally so high, especially in this neighborhood, so it was a truly bizarre meal. The staff seemed nice but was not able to provide adequate service. For the record, nothing was discounted or taken off the bill. That’s fine, but definitely punctuated a complete lack of awareness from the staff. It really felt like they were on another planet. If the food did not taste good this review would have been one star. We had the chicken sandwich, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, fries, salad, tiramisu, and the banoffe sundae.
