Kettle of Fish New York Reviews
Best bar ever! 11/10, no where else I’d rather be!
favorite bar in nyc! so fun for packers games and great outdoor seating on the weekends ☀️💚💛
Such a great find. There are pinball machines and darts (i believe they have a weekly tournament?) Very old school with old time cash register. Not a specified mocktail menu but the bar tender can easily create you one. Very close to Stonewall. Great place to relax with friends. Not sure about wheelchair accessibility
Best place to watch a Packers game aside from the bowl of Lambeau Field! We visit the city every year and a game at the Kettle is a cornerstone of our planning. We’ve also stopped in outside of a game and had a great experience. Your quintessential feel-good dive bar. (I hope this doesn’t come back to bite me but Packers are undefeated every time I’ve watched a game here so that’s a bonus 🙃)
We went to watch a Packer's game and it was amazing! It was so fun, everyone was walking around high fiving and cheering! It was a little crowded but still a great time!
This place is a little family. They have loyal customers who have turned friends-who-hang out at the bar. It is a cozy, homey, casual place. Drinks only, no food. You can bring your own food. The drinks are super-duper affordable. They hold serious dart throwing competition, have cool pinball machines, sports tv, and some books. NYE is celebrated with zest. We had a scotch, few laughs, and warm nuggets of chats.
Went here for a send off party, our friends got married the day before and were about to head out on their honeymoon. Absolutely loved this spot, it’s cozy, comfortable, and the staff is nice. It was fun to sit outside as well to people watch and pet all the dogs going by. If you want a local, casual hang out spot - this is it
Great bar for the Packers vibes but no food and several small TV so you must arrive at least one hour before game to get a spit to see the actual game.
We had a nice time but my friend got her phone stolen in the bar. So watch your stuff and beware of thieves over there!
Went to Kettle of Fish to watch the Packer game. Got there early and was told that the bar closes at 2:30 and would reopen at 3:30. If we wanted to watch the game at this epic Packer bar we had to go outside and stand in line to re-enter (which the line can start to form at anytime). Then you have to pay 25 dollars to watch the game and 2 drink tokens. All seats at the bar were reserved for locals and the table in back could possibly be reserved or maybe open for the first ones in line. If we wanted to watch the game we had to stand! Never have I been to a bar where locals were the priority! We are from Wisconsin and deserve to sit at the bar as paying customers just like the locals! This is not an epic Packer bar! This is not the bar to go to if you want to watch the Packers!!! The bartender was not very friendly either! Had one drink and left.
Bartender (big guy with beard) was insanely rude for no reason…probably racist but hoping he just had a bad day lol. Served everyone (all white people) who got there after us and we waited for like 30 mins even though we were the first there. Made fun of us, said some weird stuff. Fire him, he sucks. Horrible. Don’t go, not a reflection of New York at all🤢🤮.
Went there with my friend to have some drinks on Wednesday evening, around of 10pm. Staff at the bar wasn’t welcoming, especially the guy who makes drinks. He just look at us and kept doing his work. When we came to order some drinks he wasn’t friendly enough, when I was asking about drinks. He was also talking really quietly, when I asked him to repeat he just stared at me as I’m stupid… so ended up ordering random drink that sounded ok but it tasted so bad, you can’t even drink it. And I’m not talking about how strong was it, it was light but tasted so nasty. When my friend was asking for a non alcoholic drink, he even wasn’t able to suggest anything else when she was asking about mocktails. Also it smells disgusting inside of the bar.. i know it’s underground and had Ventilator which was off, but I don’t know how people even stay there. We couldn’t stay there so left the place after being 10 minutes there. Saw some party games, might be interesting but I don’t recommend going there again…
If you are a packer fan do not go here. We were excited to meet with fellow fans but this place is for local people only! That’s ok because it smelled like urine, rotting fish, and beer. Beer fine, but urine! It was dark and smelly. The bartender told us to leave. packer fan meant nothing. We have not been treated so poorly in any “Packer Bar” in the USA ever, even overseas. I grew up around taverns and football. this was an angry smelly place Beware!
This is a total dive. Avoid this place. They have no food to offer and the place is dark and dank and grimy and the first thing I saw on the video screen was a guy having sex with a girl on a pool table. Drinks are okay with reasonable prices but the atmosphere is rather depressing. I would not go here again.
The reason I’m giving this bar such a low review is simply because one of the employees was incredibly disrespectful to my sister and actually put his hands on her. Last night, the bar was incredibly crowded and there was a garbage can sitting awkwardly away from the wall in a crowded area. My sister and I were trying to get by so she moved the trash can to under a counter, and before she could turn around and put it back, one of the employees shoved her from behind. She turned around, asked what his problem was, and he proceeded to yell at her for TEMPORARILY moving a garbage can. It was incredibly disrespectful and I am genuinely still taken aback by his actions. In no situation is it okay for an employee to put his hands on a customer. We won’t be coming back here.
