Koko Wings New York Reviews
Pleasantly surprised by the food! I got the bulgogi soup, which was fragrant and hearty - perfect for a rainy day. The meal came with a cup of miso soup too, which was good. Judging by the other reviews, I'll have to try the fried chicken next time, too.
My favorite korean fried chicken place by campus!! Can’t find anything nearly as fresh, flavorful, and crispy in New York. Portions are always generous and I always take all of my friends and visitors here to try the soy garlic!
The coconut shrimps at KoKo Wings we’re incredibly crispy , perfect golden packed with a sweet flavorful crunch that just melts away in your mouth. Oh, and the Parmesan fries? Absolutely next level very delicious and cheesy this combo- is a must try!!
Quite possibly one of the best spots for food in the Upper West Side. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. The 6 piece tenders (with sweet & hot sauce) meal was delicious, and drinks were inexpensive. Will definitely be returning.
I really wish I had something had to say but there is none. The food? Absolutely amazing, the chicken was thick and juicy and tender, the sweet & spicy sauce was the perfect balance between the two. The white rice was also very good but was a little seaweed-esk is taste (still great!) Their crab salad and octopus balls were superb and they have a good deal on soju and beer! All around I can’t recommend this place enough, we may even order them for our Thanksgiving dinner!
Some of the best Korean fried chicken I’ve ever eaten. We got the 16 pc strips: they were crispy but not heavily breaded and were piping fresh. The soy garlic is delicious while the spicy is hot but is flavourful and not overwhelming. The octopus balls were pretty good too. Great service from the workers. Highly recommended!
If you’re on the hunt for mouthwatering wings and seriously addictive buldak, this spot is a must. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere hits you—chill, vibey, and full of energy without being too loud. Perfect for a night out with friends or a casual dinner that turns into a full-on flavor experience. The wings? Unreal. Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated in sauces that pack both heat and flavor. The buldak was next level—spicy, cheesy, and perfectly balanced. It had that fiery kick you crave but didn’t overpower the dish. Service was on point too. Super friendly staff who actually seem like they enjoy being there, which adds to the whole vibe. If you’re into bold flavors, good vibes, and a place that doesn’t miss on quality, do yourself a favor and check this place out. It’s the kind of spot you’ll keep coming back to.
What an amazing dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful Korean fried chicken cooked to perfection with the perfect balance of sauces and garnishes. The side dishes, like the rice and slaw, complemented the meal beautifully. The drinks were a standout! Vibrant, refreshing, and topped with freeze-dried strawberries, they were as stunning as they were tasty. The blue and yellow hues made them pop and added a playful touch to the experience. Each sip was a treat, perfectly paired with the meal. The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. I can't recommend this place enough! Definitely planning to return for another round of amazing flavors and fun vibes.
The wings and food in general at Kokos are so good but the prices have gotten too high for me 😭 the bulgogi portions are smaller than I remember and the drumsticks have def gotten smaller over the years. The taste/flavor is still 10/10 tho.
MM! Crispy ahhhhh wings!! These some right KFC. Great texture, great flavor, though i wanted more garlic in my garlic soy. Ive had them before and it was stronger then. (I just really like garlic sooo) But I also got hot and sweet wings 🤤🤤 I love that they give the option for half/half flavors bc they KNOW you want variety. I love this place! Very cozy spot, dim but not too dark, good service. Will always come back and always recommend! ❤️ Loud ahh scooby doo creaky door though 😂
How is this three dollars? Used to be included. I’m giving it three stars for three dollars. Also, okay…the girth of the drumsticks are abnormally large. I didn’t grow up eating meat off chicken bone that are this huge. How much engineering went into it? Why is it so dry and depressing and only one or two bites close to the bone are juicy? Are they fattened up at certain point and their legs just built up right before they are killed? How much nutrition is this? How much of the abnormal growth hormone am I consuming? How did they kill these chickens? I’m sorry. It’s just- it’s not what I grew up eating. Dang. I lost my appetite and guilt of my part in how we treat our food animals is gutting me. I can taste their suffering.
If you want stale under seasoned wings and fries, then this is the best place for you. The food was so bad. I can’t believe I paid $40 for that. The service was OK. The waitress was pretty inattentive. The decor was fine. I don’t think I’ll ever eat here again. Korean fried chicken doesn’t deserve such horrible preparation. Best of luck to this restaurant. I wouldn’t be surprised if it shut down. Plus, the Korean fried chicken made me gassy.
Ordered via DoorDash. I ordered the 6 piece chicken strip and I didn’t live too far so I knew the chicken would manage to stay at least somewhat crispy. What I got, though, was this under bartered/bread-crumbed, spottily sauced, sad, thin strips of chicken. Took a bite to see if would be good despite how it looked, and unsurprisingly it was just dry pieces of chicken with too little seasoning and no texture. Update: I had contacted the restaurant and let them know and they let me know that I can come to the restaurant to pick up a new order. This could have been a reasonable response but there was no apology and the pick up would have to be done by me despite having paid for delivery. This was when I had covid so I did not take them up on the offer.
We ordered through Uber Eats, were charged, but never received our items because the restaurant accepted orders despite not being open at the time. No refund either. When we later dined in person and explained the situation, the staff responded with a poor attitude and showed no willingness to take responsibility or offer any form of compensation. Unfortunately, the experience deteriorated further at the end of our dine-in visit. We chose to pay in cash, as it was the cheaper option, yet the younger female server repeatedly pointed us to the total at the bottom of the receipt, insisting it was the “correct cash amount.” In reality, this amount reflected the credit card total so she could sneakily secure a higher amount and higher tip. This behavior felt misleading and unprofessional. Overall, the experience left a strong impression of dishonesty and lack of accountability. Trust was lost, and we will not be returning.
