I really enjoy their lunch rolls, they are fresh and delicious and they have a great variety to choose from for the lunch menu. I really enjoyed their shumai and everything else I tried. The dressing on the salad is fresh, zesty and tasty. They always get my order right which I appreciate a lot because this does not often happen and so I really enjoy their delicious food. I want to try some other combinations so I can try more variety from the menu. The value is pretty great as well for the location. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and I really enjoy ordering the food knowing that it will be fresh and delicious. I’ll keep going there and would recommend that place.

Always great service, especially on work days when things are calm and food 🍱 is coming quickly from the chef 👩‍🍳. This is the better option for sushi 🍣 in the neighborhood, because of the size, price and quality.

I love Akami because they offer the highest quality sushi possible for the money you pay. I don’t usually eat at the restaurant, but every order I pick up is perfect and ready on time.

This place is my go-to sushi place. Their fish is so fresh and their service is amazing! The prices are fantastic, especially the three roll lunch special. Three rolls, soup AND salad for $16. Their ginger dressing is INCREDIBLE!

This place almost never seems busy but we finally tried it and WOW it was fantastic! I particularly loved the Akami Sashimi Rolls they offer (in both 5 and 10-piece varieties) which are special rolls without any rice. I’d never seen anything like that before and it was an awesome and delicious way to have a sushi roll without all of the carbs of the rice. Will 100% go back!

Great little sushi and Japanese restaurant. They offer a fantastic lunch deal for $10.95 where you get soup, salad and a bento box with your choice of protein, rice, dumplings and a small sushi roll. Service was fast and polite.

Great sushi!! We ordered here late one night, the food came on time, the restaurant gave us an extra roll and the fish was so fresh. Just moved to the area and I think I found my go-to spot for takeout sushi. Would definitely recommend.

The food was amazing from the sushi we ordered to the veggie rice. Everything tasted Fresh and Vibrant, and then to top it off the Dessert was phenomenal. I really enjoyed this place and will definitely be ordering from here again. Delivery was also on time. And the order was correct. My new sushi spot for sure

We have ordered here many times and every time we are blown away. The fish is so fresh. My family and I are avid sushi eaters - this is genuinely a hidden gem in NYC. And the price! You can't beat it. Honestly delicious and amazing. One of our favorites.

I live close to this restaurant. I highly recommend going there and having the food. When you order food it doesn’t look and taste the same as it would when freshly prepared and served. Excellent lunch specials. Honestly the best japanese lunch specials in Manhattan.

Our food was outstanding. We ordered takeout and ended up choosing the wrong location. They actually brought our food over to the restaurant we were waiting at despite our error. This was above and beyond and much appreciated. We will definitely go back.

Every aspect of our dining experience felt thoughtfully crafted. The workers were magnificent! I experienced flavor mastery at Koo Thai. The kitchen delivers, the bar impresses and the interior design stuns. This place impresses at every turn.

I ordered via Grunhub and WOW- seriously flavorful food that also came thoughtfully packed and delivered!!! I ordered the pork dumplings (steamed) and those were flavorful, the sauce that came with it was super tasty. The Tom Yum soup w Shrimp is SO GOOD!!!! Perfect amount of spice and packed with veggies. The roti was really yummy and the pickled radish & carrot was perfectly pickled. :) I dog sit near this place from time to time so I will def order again and already told all my clients about Koo Thai ❤️

I had such a great experience at Koo Thai restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portions were generous, definitely more than enough to satisfy. The service was also excellent — very friendly, attentive, and quick. Overall, everything from the taste to the presentation was on point. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic Thai food with great value and great service!

Delicious, had the green curry with steamed noodles and tofu oh man yum so good. Rich broth, so many vegetables, spicy but not over the top, and huge portions for really good price and healthy, quality food! Highly recommend! It has many vegetarian/vegan options that are also indicated and is a small, intimate sport with a really nice staff. 😁😁

Lunch special was an excellent portion, especially for the price! Loved the drunken noodles. However, I think there may be an issue with their online ordering system. I specifically requested for my dish to be spicy when I ordered, but my receipt said "Not Spicy" and the food was not spicy whatsoever (however, it was still fresh and delicious). Will be back!

I tried the spicy Pad Kee Mao and later had the 22oz taro with coconut milk, koo tea, and brown sugar boba. It was my first time visiting with friends, and I absolutely loved it! Although the space is limited and there’s no bathroom, the experience was still great.

The food was absolutely incredible! You can tell that the chef has taken traditional Thai dishes and simultaneously blended the craft of the originals with their own artistic talent. It may appear to be another fast casual restaurant in NYC, but this food has soul. Highly recommend!

This place surprised me, in a good way! I expected the classic hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant but this was a definite step up. It’s got a chill, modern atmosphere with incredibly friendly service. My favorite items were the curry puffs and the pink milk. The curry puffs were savory and juicy with the most perfect, flakey outside. The pink milk blew me away — it’s like a sweet strawberry milk. I added in crystal boba for some extra chewiness. It was the perfect ending to the meal. The yellow curry had a very strong flavor while the green curry was pretty spicy, but I probably should’ve asked for mild instead of medium. Overall great experience!

I recently visited this restaurant for the second time and opted for the Pad Kee Mao with chicken, accompanied by a brown sugar Thai iced tea. I found the dish to be spicier than what I've experienced elsewhere, but I thoroughly enjoyed the blend of spicy flavors with a hint of sweetness towards the end. This, combined with the sweetness of the iced tea, enhanced the overall taste of the meal. I'm definitely planning to return and try more dishes on their menu!

Small Thai restaurant by 1st Ave UES. Food is not bad, price is typical for Manhattan. They have a good variety of drinks, from Milk Tea, Thai Iced Tea, Thai Iced Coffee. Overall, not a bad spot to get a quick Thai food.

Nice little spot with very tasty food (both Tom Yum and Tom Kha were delicious and not very spicy; kale with crispy pork was very flavorful), great bubble teas and friendly service. The only downside is that in the winter because of the door being opened all the time it gets pretty chilly

I came here because of their amazing 4.9 rating on Google Maps, however, I was not amazed by their food. I got curry puffs to start my dinner. The puffs were nice and flavorful. The outside was light and flaky, and the insides were well seasoned with nice texture. The sauce came with was too sweet to my liking. Personally I prefer eating it as it is. I pad see ew with shrimp and added beef($5). The flavor was nice and the shrimp was fresh and clean. However, the beef wasn’t so good especially when I paid $5 extra for them. It was too dry and chewy. Overall, it’s a standard Thai restaurant. The food was nice but nothing special about it.

I ordered the shrimp bento box. The shrimp looked like it was seasoned but really needed more flavor. I really wanted to add salt. Same for the tempura. Sushi was pretty good as was the salad and soup. Portions were good. I expected more. Oh well. Service was great though.

The food we ordered was too spicy and didn’t meet our expectations. We had ordered medium spicy, but it was so spicy that we couldn’t even eat the compare with the other Thai foods we had. And when I called them , they said that’s our level 😅! .

Came for a quick lunch as it is right around the corner from my hotel. Nigiri and sushi roll were bland. Miso soup was also quite lacking. Fish was definitely not as fresh as I would expect at a sushi restaurant. Wegman's to go has fresher fish. Rice was dry/hard.

J

Cheap sushi, get what you pay for. The food is cheap, but it also tastes cheap too. Sushi left a weird taste in my mouth, and I suspect that the fish wasn't fresh.

Ordered food from here today and I am not sure if they were having a bad day or it was just me, the fish was off and I mean literally off, the seaweed was tough as leather. I have no idea why and the whole thing tasted rancid. even the rice tasted weird, I Literally took apart 1 roll and tasted everything individually to make sure, I was not going mad. I am not sure what happened but if you are thinking of ordering might wanna save your wallet. P.S There are a lot of good reviews online for them so I honestly believe it was a mistake and a bad day but they are never seeing a dollar of mine again ........ The two missing rolls are the one I ate and threw up and the one I took apart

I don’t write reviews often, but this place made me so sick. I got the lunch special from here. It tasted okay, but I couldn’t finish it - it was too chewy and salty. Within a few hours I was so violently ill I couldn’t keep water down. I was sick all night and it took over 12 hours for me to be able to drink water again. It’s been almost 24 hours and I still haven’t graduated to food. I do not remember ever being this sick from food before - seriously concerned about the health and safety of the kitchen here. I didn’t even get anything raw.

Waited more than 20 minutes for food. Salmon rolls are weirdly sweet. Chicken is overcooked. Too much jalapeno in teriyaki.
