Excellent restaurant week lunch today — great food and good value. Fish was fresh and tasty, cheese spread (tirokafteri) and orange pie (portokalopita) were another two highlights. Service was attentive, friendly, and quick. No one seems to be Greek there among the staff, but menu and flavors are authentic. Will come back!

I had a wonderful dinner at Limani. The lobster pasta was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor — definitely the highlight of the night. The scallops were tender and nicely grilled, paired with vegetables that added the right balance. The atmosphere is upscale and relaxing, and the service was attentive without being overwhelming. A great spot for a special night out.

If you’re searching for the best Mediterranean restaurant in New York City, Limani is an absolute must-visit. Located in the iconic Rockefeller Center, this elegant restaurant blends the warmth of Greek hospitality with a refined fine-dining experience that captures the essence of the Mediterranean coast. We started with their Limani Chips impossibly thin and crisp zucchini and eggplant chips served with tzatziki and the Grilled Octopus, perfectly tender with that smoky char that hits all the right notes. For entrées, the Fragi stood out: a beautifully grilled whole fish, light yet rich in flavor, highlighting the restaurant’s incredible selection of fresh seafood flown in daily. Each fish is displayed in their market-style counter, letting you choose your favorite right from the catch. To finish, we couldn’t resist the Deconstructed Baklava, a modern twist on the classic dessert layered with pistachio, honey, and flaky pastry simply unforgettable. Pair it all with one of their signature cocktails like the Spicy Passion or Rodakini, and you have a meal that truly defines what fine Mediterranean dining in NYC should feel like. Whether you’re planning a romantic dinner, business lunch, or a night out with friends, Limani Restaurant delivers the perfect blend of luxury, flavor, and comfort. From service to presentation, everything here feels exceptional.

For our dine-and-learn event, the organizers chose Limani NYC at the Rockefeller Center to be the venue. The entire place is pristine. Our function room was spacious. Since it was a prix fixe, the menu was already laid out on our table. The appetizers of calamari, Greek spreads, tomato salad, peppers, and kolokithi; paper-thin zucchini, eggplant & kefalotyri cheese, and lightly fried were served family style. It was sumptuous, flavorful, and enough for 8 people on the table. For the main entree, my eyes caught the 10 oz. Prime beef tenderloin. I had it medium well. It was served with asparagus and potatoes. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection. We then capped the night with a fruit platter, honey and yogurt, baklava, and Portokalopita; orange and vanilla cake, vanilla whipped ganache, honey, and lavender ice cream to share. It was a perfect set of desserts to conclude a lovely and educational night.

The food was amazing, and I loved the personal touch of the head chef visiting the table to offer recommendations for dinner.

Greek seafood. Alternative to Avra or Milos. Although I miss Brasserie Ruhlmann, but post covid replacement is bright, white and blue. Restaurant week menu same, prices lower for less selection. Fish nice. Lamb chop and lobster not bad either. Found service bit erratic but not critical.

A fine dining greek seafood restaurant at Rockefeller center. Great high ceilings with reflecting pond in the middle. Large selection of excellent seafood options. Good mixed mezze and bread. Requires $$$ prix fixe option for large parties. Dorade cooked perfectly tender.

Dined here for lunch and would recommend making a reservation as they get busy especially during the week. They have a prefix lunch menu which comes with an app, main and dessert which I selected. I got the octopus appetizer was perfectly cooked, the sea bass which was amazing and the honey yogurt dessert. Another app must is the zucchini and eggplant chips. The white yogurt sauce in the middle is to die for. The space inside is beautiful and the staff was very nice and attentive.

Stumbled into this restaurant and so happy we did. Excellent food , service and ambiance. Great service, we were two people but instead of cramming us into a two person table they gave us a nice 4person table. We ordered the spanakopita and Zucchini chips for appetizers and then salmon for entree and finishing with choc soufflé. They have the freshest seafood and the food is cooked perfectly. The choc dessert and icecream was yummy. Definitely will return to try more.

Very good food in the heart of Rockefeller Center We got a table outside and it is great for people watching. Cocktails are great. The lobster pasta and the yogurt as a dessert are outstanding

Visited here on a Saturday night and the restaurant looks exactly like the photos on the website. Conveniently located at Rockefeller Center, we walked in and were immediately seated at the fountain centerpiece surrounded by gorgeous white decor. The restaurant only got nicer as it got darker outside. All wait staff were courteous & friendly making good recommendations and engaging conversation. Dinner was delicious. We started with the Feta Wrapped Phyllo. I first had this dish in Greece 2 years ago and I’ve been searching for its equal in the US ever since. Tasted many, but none came close. My wife & I were excited to finally find an authentic match! So flavorful. I would truly go back for this dish alone. Halibut was cooked to perfection, but I do wish the portion was larger. Salmon was also very good and portion was appropriate. The night finished with a surprise Portokalopita for dessert as it was our anniversary. A perfect & very tasty ending. Limani is suitable for large groups and I highly recommend for a date night. Add them to your list for a high end Mediterranean experience.

I tried Limani in Roslyn & Commack, and having a birthday celebration in NYC. Convenient location near Rockefeller Center with street parking on week nights. We had many grilled octopus, grilled calamari’s, mushrooms as appetizers and Salmon, Swordfish & Cowboy steaks as main course. Most seafood were great except Swordfish steak was just fair.

Loved the ambience, service and the food. The west coast oysters were too good! The staff was friendly and happy to guide us to order their best sellers. We had zucchini chips, grilled sea bass, Greek salad, crunchy feta with honey and kept coming back for oysters throughout our stay. Walking distance from Time Square and great place to sit outside on a sunny day!

Food was okay. They have a wonderful presentation of their seafood but the actual prep was average at best. I was there for a business meeting (small party of 5). Would not go back.

Ambiance was cool, but restaurant felt very rushed. Food was fast but tasted okay. Several servers couldn’t understand English and kept pouring tap water into the sparkling. Way too much oregano and rosemary on the dishes. At the current price to service ratio, probably would go elsewhere next time.

A friend took me for my birthday. The restaurant is physically beautiful. A lovely pool in the middle of the restaurant. Reminds me of the old The Four Seasons. My friend was delayed and I waited 30 minutes at the table before anyone asked me if I wanted a drink. It appeared to me that the only women working in the restaurant or at the hostess table. The restaurant is pretty pricey. So I wonder why I didn’t see any Women waitstaff. It’s something I’ve observed more and more lately In many of the more expensive restaurants. The restaurant is extremely noisy. And I felt a kind of Bro - Pete Hegseth Atmosphere. I think more for tourist than for locals. The food was fine. We both had crabcakes, wine and asparagus.

Service was quick and good. Food was alright, lamb was fatty and steak was more rare than I asked. The atmosphere is very pretty and the restaurant looked really nice and they have a lot of pretty scenery and a large crystal blue light water art design in the middle. It was very busy and loud so it was hard to have a conversation in there though and the seating was very close. The cocktails were DELICIOUS ! I liked the calamari a lot but my Greek partner said it was ok.

The quality of the food did not match the price, and the portion sizes were very small. For two people, we spent around $400 on dinner with no drinks. I don’t mind spending the money, but I do expect it to be worth it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. The only strong point was the service. I could easily spend a little over half that amount elsewhere and get better food quality, portions, and overall value. Not going back
