Long Island Dumplings New York Reviews
We stumbled into this restaurant spontaneously/accidentally. So glad we made the quick decision to stop. I will be thinking about the fried pork and chive dumplings until I get to go back. Amazing.
I had the Pork Dan Dan Noodles and they were very good. I'll be back to try some other dishes.
I had heard about LID online recently and said if i ever run into it ill give it a go. with 3 options for service - dine in, self order kiosk, or traditional cashier i opted for the kiosk and got the vegan dan dan peanut noodles , veggie pan friend dumplings, fried salmon dumplings and the vegan mushroom dim sum , the food was made fresh to order so i did have to wait about 15 mins but it did not disappoint i ate the salmon dumplings on the way home they were so crispy perfectly fried, but the reason i have been immediately moved to chorus and to a 5 star rating is the crystal shrimp (pouches) i was expected a wet mushy watery shumai esque bite here but i can say i was pleasantly shocked when i bit into a whole full perfectly steamed shrimp, immediately blown away! Ill come back just for those!
delicious and affordable! 15% student discount on weekdays w purchases made over 15 dollars + a free side of vegan dim sum. amazing quality and quantity for the price. COME HERE!!
I walked past this place and went in to check it out. You order from the kiosk which is so easy and convenient. I got the spicy house wonton honestly wasn’t expecting anything crazy but was so shocked by how amazing the wontons were. You could tell from the texture of the dough that they were handmade. Can’t wait to go back and try their soup dumplings and many other dishes!
Snowy day in NYC and decided to try the beef noodles and steamed pork bums and OMG! Delicious!! Place was a little busy but by the time my food was ready, tables were available. Friendly staff, easy to order (kiosk), nice ambiance and excellent food!
I have been coming to this place for lunch at least once a week. This chaisu over rice is only $7!!!! In Manhattan I will say this is a steal.

Delicious food! Got fried pork & chive dumplings, char siu rice special, and chicken scallion noodles. Everything was super super tasty. I have a high standard for dumplings and these were excellent. Wish they used less plastic though especially for dine-in.
Low key lunch spot for dim sum, noodles and dumplings. Tasty food with GF and vegan options, accommodating with switching out noodles to make a dish GF. We have both in our family so I was able to get us all a delicious lunch. Extra star bc they were kind enough to let me use the bathroom, purchase or not, when the bakery down the street couldn't accommodate after 100+ cake order. Nice to frequent what feels like a family run place.
Very well made authentic dim sum and dumplings. Recently tried their Dan Dan noodles and the flavor is incredible. Mix well when you receive it! Makes a big difference! Also their shrimp spring rolls offer a nice crunch and freshness to offset the heat.

Fast dim sum with yummy gluten free options!
No frills dumpling spot. Order at a kiosk, got our food quickly. All the dumplings were quite good, with the shrimp dumplings standing out as exceptional. Also ordered Char Sui Pork which was really good value at only $7. Tables were a little dirty but that's to be expected from a counter serve restaurant. Expect tasty dumplings at good value and not much else.

Really good food! I've ordered twice and been really happy with the taste/quality each time. The chicken and corn dumplings are delicious. Love that they send chili oil along with it. Spring rolls were fine, nothing to write home about. Looking forward to trying other dishes.

Was genuinely really disappointed because I was looking forward to this place. The menu was full of all the things I love. Tried their chicken over rice, which was really dry (I’m not even a picky eater). Tried their mixed protein + soup, but unfortunately the soup was weirdly flavorless and the beef meatballs were super dry, despite soaking in the soup. The other fish balls weren’t really good either. The peanut noodles weren’t bad per se, but were weirdly sweet?? Like, really sweet. To be fair to them though, I did not try any of the dumplings, so I can’t judge those. Overall, it’s a good deal if you’re on a budget, but there are better places to get food with low cost than there.
Got the beef meatball soup. Soups taste sour and meatballs are obviously not fresh, taste like something that’s cooked in the morning, put in the fridge for a day and reheated. And wait time is long.

How can you label something as gluten free when the sauce contains gluten? That’s misleading and dangerous. Celiacs beware!
Although the food was great, they use SO MUCH plastic. Even for dine in. Each soup dumpling comes in an individual plastic dipping cup. Its sad that there is SO MUCH waste.

I've lived a block away since well before this place opened / rebranded, and it never looked appetizing, but I went in for dumplings on lunar new year: the soup dumplings taste like they added mystery meat (or that's some funky pork) - it was not edible. The potstickers were actually fine. The coffee boba was milk with out taste, sugar, coffee, and the minimum viable amount of tapioca balls. The service was pleasant and the place was clean. But those soup dumplings will give me nightmares.

Clean, interesting menu, spacious for NYC, fresh. Zero stars for service. The touchscreen for ordering insists that you add a tip. The restaurant has several tables and bar seating. But the woman at the counter absolutely refused to give a cup of water! She insisted that the reason is "this is not a dine-in restaurant." That is illogical and unfriendly, especially since many customers do sit and eat in the restaurant, at tables and bar seats that are designed for exactly that.
I reserve giving bad reviews unless something is seriously terrible but this restaurant is one of them. Saltiness 9/10, flavor 0/10. Noodles were soggy and overcooked the chewiness you expect from noodles were 0/10, it was not appetizing nor tasty. Soup dumplings came in these little cups where the skin was completely breaking apart. Flavor was 0/10 and you couldn’t even tell what kind of meat it was because it came in this consistency that resembled fish balls.
Got the beef noodle soup. Each piece of "beef" was chewier than the last, same goes for the noodles. 90% sure they just served me instant ramen at a 500% markup. Do not go here.
