Lunetta Pizza New York Reviews
Stopped by Lunetta with pizza expert Mario Mat, and it lives up to the hype. The technicals are spot on—excellent undercarriage, zero flop, and a perfect crisp. The MVP Pizza is a masterclass in sauce balance (Margherita, Vodka, Pesto), and the Grandma slice delivers that authentic "old school" NYC crunch. It’s an unpretentious UES gem with a staff that treats you like a local. If it passes the expert test, it’s a must-visit!
We get their vodka pizza with gluten free crust all the time. It’s fantastic.
After a late arrival in NYC with the kids, the first thing on their minds was tasting some authentic New York Pizza. Coming from Chicago, we set aside our deep-dish loyalties and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Lunetta’s truly hit the spot! We ordered five different slices to satisfy five hungry, tired travelers. Each one was freshly made and ready to go. The standout was definitely the Caesar salad pizza—eye-catching and absolutely delicious. Thank you, Lunetta’s, for a great reintroduction to New York!"
Note: I only ate from here once. Got delivery around 2 in the morning. Was SO good and definitely want to try it again. Just got a vegetable pie. Love the mix of vegetables and the fact that they are cut up into the perfect size, not big hunks that make a mess, not tiny minced up pieces, just right so you get a mix of veg in each bite. And the crust is absolutely the best. Like i said, only once and it was late night delivery, but some of the one star reviews on here seem silly. Like not getting utensils, ( which i thought nyc was doing away with automatic utensils anyway?), problems with delivery which may not be the restaurant's fault, problems with slice, and yo people make mistakes. Idk Maybe if i ordered regularly i'd find problems but this pizza was absolutely delicious. I want more lol
Ordered delivery. The wait was over an hour, the food arrived, delivery man was very sweet and alive (thank you! traffic and heat were bad) The pizza was very good. Half mushrooms and half extra cheese. They nailed it with extra cheese! Yes! I also got chicken soup that came with bread and butter. Hot and tasty. And a cheesecake slice that did a rollover in transit, haha, but survived heat and was still cool. Food was neatly and thoughtfully packed. I enjoyed my lunch. Definitely recommend. Thank you. *chicken tenders with fries, very good.
Order from here all the time for the past 2 years, but had a rough time tonight. Ordered a half pepperoni, half white with ricotta. Pizza showed up with a little dab or ricotta on the pepperoni side and nothing else. Check the pic, so strange. Also looked like this poor pizza had been through hell. Called to get a refund or credit for next time. That was a hard “no.” They offered to send a new pizza so I said fine and tossed this one. Poor delivery guy showed up and said he needed the old pizza or else he would have to pay for this one. I had already thrown it out so I called again to sort it out, then the delivery guy had to call too. At the end of the day they did the right thing and I got the right pizza, but just such a headache of a situation and I didn’t eat until 2 hours after I ordered. Pizza is decent, but I’ll probably try to find another late night spot. Sorry guys.
Lunetta Pizza is a hit or miss. Sometimes your food is perfect and other times its not. Today I ordered a large margarita pizza, an order of garlic knots and 1 liter of coke for delivery. The delivery man brought the pizza just in the box, there was no bag to keep it warm and so when we went to eat, the pizza was cold and was a mess. The pizza tasted good after I put it in the oven to warm up, but nobody wants to eat a pizza thats a mess like that. The garlic knots on the other hand were warm and perfect.
Chicken Parmesan hero was terrible. Old dried hard thin chicken. The sauce had very little flavor. The atmosphere was uncomfortable. Way too hot inside. Playing music unnecessarily loud while it was empty. The pizza on their table was old and dried out. I will never return.
Didn't finish a slice for the first time in my life! Got a BBQ chicken and the chicken was dry and hard, the sauce was wayy to sweet and the cheese felt like a Michelin tire. Also for some weird reason it was very hot inside.
About the worst food we ever ordered. Had an Uber Eats delivery.. cold burnt pizza. Garlic knots dry and hard, and fried zucchini...under fried and soggy..An absolute disaster!
I didn't like the food. I ordered a plate of spaghetti with meatballs for my daughter because she loves spaghetti, but the spaghetti there had no flavor. The meat seemed raw. It was awful. I spent $30 and I regret it. We practically threw the whole plate straight in the trash. It was truly terrible. 👎
I recently visited Lunetta Pizza Store and unfortunately had an extremely disappointing experience. From start to finish, everything seemed to go wrong with my order. I ordered a medium buffalo chicken pizza and a large salad, expecting a delicious meal. However, what I received was far from satisfactory. To my dismay, the buffalo chicken pizza was completely devoid of any chicken. It was as if the essential ingredient had vanished into thin air. Not only that, but the pizza was made incorrectly with tomato sauce instead of the expected buffalo sauce. It was a complete letdown, lacking the flavors I had been eagerly anticipating. On top of that, the large salad I ordered turned out to be a sad sight. The greens were wilted and unappetizing, clearly past their prime. To make matters worse, I discovered mold on some of the papers that came with the salad. It was not only unhygienic but also a health hazard. Seeking to address these issues, I decided to call the store and express my concerns. However, the response from the manager was shockingly disrespectful and rude. Instead of acknowledging the mistakes and offering a solution, they treated me with utter disregard and dismissed my complaint. As a customer, I believe it is essential for businesses to prioritize the quality of their products and provide excellent customer service. Unfortunately, Lunetta Pizza Store failed on both counts. The missing chicken, incorrect toppings, wilted salad, and moldy papers were all clear signs of negligence. Furthermore, the unprofessional behavior of the manager only added insult to injury. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Lunetta Pizza Store to anyone. It is deeply disappointing to encounter such a lack of care and respect from a food establishment. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback and prompts the necessary improvements to ensure a better dining experience for future customers.
I ordered the mozzarella sticks (they are obviously just frozen cheese sticks, nothing special about them or the tomato water they came with). Gross. Chicken piccata and Shrimp Scampi were served in the exact same swimming pool of lemon juice and butter so...weirdly, it was like having the same dish. I just paid for two bowls of lemon juice, butter, and spaghetti noodles. I tossed it all, even hungry I couldn't stomach it. Yet again, NY bats a big fat zero when it comes to Italian food.
