Motorino New York Reviews
Stopped by Motorino for lunch and it delivered on every level. The pizza was excellent, perfectly charred crust with rich, balanced flavors, and the wine paired beautifully. Simple, done right. Service was solid and relaxed, which fit the vibe perfectly. Niko had an amazing music playlist going, setting the tone even though I was the only one there at the time. Honestly, that made it even better. The atmosphere is where Motorino really shines. Cozy, warm, and inviting, with great aesthetics and a street facing view that’s perfect if you enjoy people watching. From the interior details to the outside energy, it feels like a place you can slow down and actually enjoy the moment. Highly recommend for a quiet lunch, great pizza, and a glass of wine in a comfortable, thoughtfully curated space. 🍕🍷
Amazing lunch special deal, it’s great bang for your buck. I got a margarita pizza with the meatballs. My server Axel was phenomenal and super funny. Im definitely coming back if he’s there
Our server was so nice. We got the baby kale caeser salad, octopus & potato salad, oven roasted chicken wings, amatriciana, and tiramisu. Everything was delicious. I’d probably skip the chicken wing the next time I come back though.
Hands down the best Neapolitan style pizza on the UWS. The dough is excellent, the pizza is wet to the right degree. The mozzarella stays soft and doesn’t change into rubber after a few minutes. A little more tomato sauce would be welcomed, but that’s probably just because I really love red pizzas. The atmosphere is relaxed and staff are friendly. Forget those overpriced places that style themselves as offering pizza as if it were some precious delicacy. This is the real thing. And the potato and octopus starter is also pretty good!
Came here with my sons after basketball, we was very hungry. Food is absolutely delicious, the wings are so good, and the Pizza is magnificent. Will be back soon. Prices are great as well for a quick stop and eat.
We’ve been here numerous times. The artichoke appetizer is beyond amazing: never over cooked, grilled to sear, bathed in a pool of freshly squeezed lemon juice, salt, garlic, and capers. Don’t let them take the plate away when you’re done! Use the remaining dressing to pour it on your pizza. Also pictured is their fennel salad, served with capers, sliced radish and red onion, olives, raisins, a few dill fronds, and oranges. Fabulous mix of textures and flavors. We always have an argument about which pizza to share; I want to taste each one and the SO always insists on his favorite- the shaved Brussels sprout one. Before you yell “I HATE Brussels sprouts!”, please know that the shavings arrive on a perfectly baked, puffy yet chewy crust, with the addition of fior di latte mozzarella, garlic, pecorino, and EVOO. It’s so good, you’ll just want to collapse into a puddle of happiness after you eat it. I’ve been exceptionally content with everything I’ve ever eaten here- complex flavors and simple, good quality prep combine to make the place well worth waiting on line for.
4 stars for the food and an extra star for their service. the server offered dessert on the house when the pizza was doubly sliced. I told the server it's okay, the pizza goes down the same way but he insisted. there was a father and son a few tables away. the son is about 10-11 years old. on the menu, there is an option for regular meatballs and extra spicy meatballs and he wanted the spicy meatballs. the server went to the kitchen and returned with a sample. to make a long story short, the youngster ended up getting the regular meatballs. it was then that I realized the server is just top notched.
This is a cute pizza place, semi casual and totally fits the vibe of a NYC sit down pizza spot. The pizza was excellent, fresh sauce and perfect crust. The sauce was well seasoned but not overpowering. The crush was the right amount of crispy. They had a lot of different pizza options and were more than willing to do customizations. Service: Service was slow as it seemed like there were only 1-2 people on the floor. It took them about 15 minutes to bring my drink and this place is small, has no more than 15 small tables. Price: Priced like a typical NYC sit down spot. Insta: @TheShahLALand
Pizza was okay, definitely not the best I've had in NYC but it was super cute UWS vibes.
