Mulligan's Pub New York Reviews
Stopped here on the way to MSG. Good food, good beer selection.
Shawn is the man, he’s the best. Such a kind genuine soul and makes the best drinks ever, made me wanna be a bartender. GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE PLEASE !!!!!!!
Sophie was an amazing waitress, she was so attentive and had great recs - we had the best time me and Roberto ❤️
My friends and I stumbled upon this restaurant after going to the Bryant Park Christmas markets. Initially we planned to grab a quick drink and then head to a different dinner spot. However, the fun and vibrant energy of the pub encouraged us to stay for dinner. The food was amazing, the drinks were delicious, and the vibes were great. If you are looking for a no frills, go Irish pub in NYC this is the place to go. Recommend: the fried chicken sandwich. Seriously this is the best chicken sandwich I have EVER tasted
A true hidden gem! Everything is just 1000/10 - food, drinks, service, atmosphere, music. Best buffalo wings we’ve had by far & great cocktails 🤍
AMAZING service!! Great atmosphere, food is fantastic. You definitely need to come here and check it out. Guinness is amazing. Some of the best we have had. The steak nachos and they are by far the BEST nachos we have ever had. My partner loved the chicken curry and NY strip was great too. Andrew who is the bartender is bloody brilliant. Provided great friendly service. He’s super helpful and great to chat to. Served us and looked after everything. He helped to make our night amazing. Thank you all for giving us some great memories of our trip to NYC. Newcastle united fans are loved in here….even though it’s a Liverpool bar haha
Absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is brilliant proper cozy and welcoming, just like a real Irish pub. The bartenders are Irish and super friendly, which made it feel even more like home. I got the chicken curry Irish style, and honestly, it’s the closest I’ve had to an Irish curry since I’ve moved from Ireland. My partner had the Black Jack Burger and the Bang Bang Shrimp, and both were an easy 10/10. If you’re looking for great food, a proper pint, and a bit of that Irish charm, definitely check this place out!
Regular after work drink spot. Literally never disappoints. Had the burger 10/10. Had the burger 10/10. Tonight’s dish, tried the Steak ceaser salad which was really good. It was very large and very fresh. Service was amazing as always! Had an Irish mule, a green tea shot, and a bunch of large magners(my favorite cider). Atmosphere is a good time. Happy hour until 7pm!
Mulligans was very nice after a day visiting a Museum. The waitress was very sweet and polite. Always checked in to make sure nothing was needed. The crowd watching the game added to the atmosphere and we had a great time. The food was also very good, I tried the spicy mayo and wasn’t happy, buts that’s just me. The Turkey Burger was still very good.
A decent Irish pub in midtown, among many. The ambience is dim and can be rowdy at lunch time. They offer a good amount of staple pub food. So far, I've had their steak and fish and chips. Both are good for the price and portions. Staff seem a bit sparse at times but they are quick with service when you get their attention. Overall, a solid place for some simple food to fill you up. Nothing fancy
Great place for quick lunch when working in NYC. Great atmosphere with multiple TVs showing various sporting events. We all had burgers which were fresh, tasty, and cooked to perfection. The French fries were crunchy and plentiful. Service was super friendly. You can't go wrong here.
It’s a Liverpool pub hahaha Only joking with the one star atmosphere but it is a Liverpool pub should be zero stars hahaha If your a Liverpool fan it’s a great bar to come too it’s a great sports bar
I went to mulligan’s with my partner and enjoyed my dinner. It was close to grand central station and packed on a week night in December (of course) however our server was attentive and led us to a free table. We were helped after given a few minutes to look over the menu and we also started with two wines. Found out my partner does not like either of the wines but that’s alright for me I’m not a sommelier so I’ll just focus on on the food. Our appetizer to start was bang bang shrimp the sauce accompanying it has a good portion and consistency and flavor refreshing with a nice kick. The size was medium but a good price for an app for 2-3 people to share . Only con was the arugula under neath for fresh garnish fell flat on the arrangement and presentation but for the peak service around 8:30pm I understand. The other food items we had was the black jack burger and chili. Firstly, the black Angus burger was excellent and best of the three food items we had. The fries were a nice medium petite with a nice crisp and although the onion could have been sliced thinner, the portion size was satisfying. The chili was good, maybe a bit mild for some but it isn’t.t spicy chili so just add black pepper to taste. The grit was on the finger size but my partner mentioned the chess blend was great and the nachos on the side were festive and fun. Only con for service was that the passer , not the waitress could have slowed down a bit and placed the plate gently on the table it was placed as an angle and about 5-8 fries fell off. If he had announced himself or stopped his motion , I know super har om a tight space, but it was just close to out other dishes and had our wine glasses been there it would of been non optimal. Otherwise it was a pleasant evening, again for the prices those items rounded out to about 100$ after tip so if you want budget just go to a quick service venue and also the noise volume remains load here and the bar can be tight on exit so accessibility for larger folks and sensory sensitive — maybe try elsewhere or come during opening hours during the day.
I had an immaculate basic BLT for lunch and a perfect side salad with it with just the right amount of dressing artfully applied. The downside is that it's a bar and the loud rock music didn't really match either a pub vibe or mid-afternoon getting a sandwich.
I am one person that absolutely loves Irish Pubs. So as soon as I walked in this place I immediately loved the ambiance. My server/bartender, who I believe her name was Faun was friendly and she had such a lovely Irish accent. The food and drink I ordered was really good and everything came out fast. They have a decent sized menu and the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely stop in again the next time I am in the area.
Atmosphere and service were great. It was nice to have a meal after a long day of walking and shopping. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The food lacked seasoning and the meats we ordered were dry, the fries were over fried, the salad was the best part of the meal. The salad dressing was great and the salad tasted fresh and crunchy
First time here. We were looking for an Irish pub. This place came up in our search. Well, it is not an Irish pub. There is nothing on the menu that you expect to see in an Irish pub. I asked the server, and he said that happens all the time, and no, they are not an Irish pub, just a pub with an Irish name. Lol... OK, so the place is easy to get to right off the highway in a little strip mall. Good free parking. It is clean, wide open, sports playing on multiple televisions. Decent bar area, decent decor. We found the menu to be a little limited. So on to the food. Wife had a salad, it was large, fresh, and she thought it was excellent. I had the fish, and it was OK. My guess was frozen to fryer. Green beans came in a tiny plastic cup and were a bit tasteless. Daughter also had a salad and side of fries. Both her salad and fries were very good. Beer was cold and refreshing, and our server was very nice. Will probably give it another try when we are in the area.
Was very excited to return to mulligans after our last visit a few years ago. Was so disappointed. The food was awful. Couldn’t eat it. Atmosphere is great though and definitely recommend having a drink in there if your a Liverpool fan.
