Munchies New York Reviews
I ordered the Yaroa from Los Munchies for delivery last night, and it hit every craving. It arrived hot, fresh, and packed with cheesy, saucy goodness — layers of seasoned meat and melted cheese that were seriously next level. Even delivered, the texture held up and didn’t disappoint. The portion was generous, and the flavors were bold and satisfying — just what you want in a late-night comfort meal. Delivery was quick and smooth, no issues at all. If you’re thinking about ordering from here, the Yaroa is a guaranteed win. My delivered Yaroa was messy, cheesy, and 100% worth it.
The staff was amazing! The food was great! I didn't pictures because it was late at night and we were starving, but trust me when I say it's good eats!
LOS MUNCHIES one of my favorite dominican places, its the TOP 1 restaurant for when you getting those MUNCHIES😉 most importantly the service is quick, The food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS✔️ Staff is friendly and the customer service is outstanding. I highly recommend this place you wont regret it 🫶🏼 Emely is very attentive and The attention to detail and commitment to guest service set it apart from the rest.
I was looking for empanadas in the Heights and guess what?! I couldn’t find ANY in a 5 block radius. (Smh @ gentrification). Anyways I stumbled upon this and They all had on their masks, it wasn’t packed, the music was playing at a comfortable level unlike most places in the area, and they quickly asked if I needed help AND gave a suggestion. I bought 1 pastelito and tried out their lil mofongo cups thingies. While it didn’t satisfy my craving for the taste of mofongo it was pretty good and such a clever idea. Wish cheese was a bit more melted. Their “special sauce” is okay and again I wish it had that mofongo taste BUT if i had the munchies I’m sure it would’ve checked all the boxes. Hope this Latinx business does well
I ordered mofonguitos here for the first time because it was recommended by a friend, it was definitely not up to par. it was dry and not fresh.
Came and ordered a fruit smoothie and jugo de avena with 2 empanadas and a cachapa. The jugo de avena was probably the worst I've ever had from any spot I've been to - it's as if all they did was blend straight oats with milk and that's it. Very grainy and watery consistency, instead of it being smooth. The fruit smoothie also didn't taste like it had all the fruits it was supposed to have. The masa of the cachapa wasn't great either and honestly was small for what it cost. Empanadas were alright but nothing out of this world. We asked how long the order would take so we could go get some other things and come back and they said 15 minutes. Come back and our drinks weren't even made so they made them both literally in less than 5 minutes, which I figure is why they came out so bad. Total was $35 for everything and was too much for what we got in my opinion. Probably wouldn't return, there's so many other spots on St Nicholas selling the same stuff.
Lied to Uber Eats about fulfilling an order, resulted in me getting charged for food I never even got. Heard they got pending health violations too. What a shame.
Food was SUPERRRRRR MID. Definitely expected a lot better seeing all the different locations, and IG reviews. Wings had no flavor, fries tasted like they’ve been refried at least 2x, Maduros were not sweet at all. I don’t eat them much, but husband loves them, and I knew he would hate them only by looking at them. Chimi burger was mid at best. Pastellitos had no flavor. Pallitos de queso had no flavor. Would not recommend. Will not be spending my money here again. Don’t even bother to spend your money and try. Don’t pay attention to the bot reviews.
Ordered a shake for pickup. Called within 2 min that it was a mistake on my end- I wanted another shake. I had confused the two. The Colombian lady said it was already made and she couldn’t swap. I kept telling her… I did not want it… that’s why I’m calling back…She claimed- SHED be loosing money if she threw it away… she didn’t seem to understand the common sense and decency when owning a business. Ended up giving it to a door dash delivery guy waiting for an order. Absolutely, I did in fact - go off by the way. This is a prime example of how you could’ve provided great customer service and had a returning customer. Instead you go back and forth and do what benefits YOU not the customer. Useless. Shake wasn’t all that either.
Placed an order for Uber eats today 03/11/25 at 9pm, and the quality of the yaroa was horrible the fries looks super old, it tasted stale. Im not sure if they actually looked at what they made because there is no way you can served this to anyone.
Avoid coming here this place is disgusting the employees are rude they treat people with not respect like if you’re asking for free food prices are expensive the food is bad as well . The skinny girl at the cashier is very unprofessional I’m not ordering or visiting this place again nasty food nasty people. 🤮🤮🤮
I advise against ordering from this restaurant through Uber Eats. On two separate occasions, they failed to include items from my order. The explanation provided was that the drivers forgot the items, but this is unreasonable since the restaurant staff is responsible for checking the order before dispatch. This reflects poorly on their service, and I have lost money twice as a result.
ordered delivery and received the wrong order because there was a mix up with the names. called the restaurant, they were aware they made the mistake and they charged $10 to deliver the correct food to me. i don’t understand why the customer should have to pay for the restaurant’s mistake. the owner should pay the delivery guy to make the second trip. of course there would be a mix up, there was no receipt on the bag. terrible service
I wouldn't give this place even 1 star. The staff who don't speak English still were trying to be helpful, but the owner is purely inconsiderate about people's religious beliefs. I ordered 2 chicken club sandwiches for 2 of my Muslim friends during the month of Ramadan. I specifically asked for Chicken only on the sandwich only on the sandwich. Workers probably didn't understand me probably as i don't speak Spanish. But somehow I conveyed the massage and asked to confirm if the club sandwiches i ordered didn't have any other meat than chicken. Because while I was waiting i looked at the menu and saw chicken club sandwiches come with ham on it. Employees already had put ham on the sandwich. So i asked to get me a new sandwich that had no contact with any pork because it was for my Muslim friends. The employee goes to the owner to see if they can make me a new sandwich, The owner asked them to remove the ham and give me the sandwiches. Totally inconsiderate behavior. I went to a different place and got my friends some food that they could eat but I have attached pictures of the club sandwiches i got from them. No filling between 2 pieces of bread.
