Oki Poke & Ramen New York Reviews
I had a make yourself bowl with salmon- it was very good, the medium amount of sauce was just right, and the rice was prepared perfectly. Perfect fast lunch. The big bonus is the wait time was around 3-5 minutes after the order! Highly recommend!
Great poke spot in midtown! Quick and efficient meal. Poke bowl was delicious! Salmon was a little bit too fishy - or maybe it’s the toppings that made it slightly fishy-tasting, I’m not sure. Everything was efficient. Ordering was fast - through the kiosk. Takes Apple Pay. Food was ready in 5min. There’s plenty of seatings. And kudos to the charging stations behind the tables. A thoughtful detail. Price is very affordable for Manhattan and the portion of proteins
Fantastic ramen , the volcano was so delicious and good spice my got poke and he anjoy evry bite , and at last coconut carry o boy sooooo good , we love giosa and steam bum , wend get very cold u need a ramen is the best , and the sevice was super fast love , please came and visit brind u friend u need to try .
Really an underrated place. The tastes, the portions, the service, all just great for the price! I had the “build your own “ Poke bowl. My sister had the Don bowl (pork) and it fabulous! Great choices and add ons were fantastic. Just worth it. Why don’t more people know about this place? It got busier when we were leaving around 4:30pm on a Sunday afternoon.
What a great little spot for Ramen only a block away from Grand Central station. I got the Oki fried chicken Ramen with chicken broth and it was pretty good and perfect for a cold day. They even offer a vegetarian ramen... interesting. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The bowl and a can of ginger ale cost me $18 bucks. Even though it's not the best ramen I ever had and it's a little on the pricey side I'd still go back.
There were ordering screens which made it easy and fast to place an order and the food came out very fast. My friend and I got poke and there were lots of options for toppings and I would say a good amount of food for the price. We’ll have to come back to try the ramen but it looked delicious!
Food was fine. I got the poke bowl with ahi tuna and spicy tuna. The spicy tuna was a little weird. My friend recommends getting the salmon and ahi tuna but since I don’t like salmon, I’ll take his word on it. It’s convenient if you are getting lunch for takeout but has plenty area for seating.
Nice selection of ramen that you can order at the kiosk. Reasonably priced given the egg and pork quantities. The tonkotsu broth is very rich. I like how the broth is separated from the noodles for takeout and delivery. I would probably try other places for ramen before returning. The poke seemed more expensive. Update: I got delivery poke. It had much more mayonnaise than advertised. Don’t get the poke here.
It's a nice find in mid town. Clean restaurant, and not many people know about it, so it's usually not too busy for dine in. Take out was ready in 3 minutes. Perfect for lunch in the city on your break. I dont think they had table service, so just grab your order and pull up a chair. Update: It's still awesome, right around the corner from mid-town comics near GC. Ramen & and a new graphic novel every time.
This place was just down the street from our hotel. Food was good, decent portion sizes. I liked the options on the Poke Bowl. I had their Oki Classic Poke and my daughter created her own, while husband and son each had a ramen. There isn't tables side service per say but they bring you your order if you eat in after ordering at the counter.
Decent Lunch spot if you want ramen. I ordered the Volcano ramen. The broth was excellent and deliciously spicy. The noodles however left a little to be desired. Nothing special, lacked some flavor. Pork was fine. Did enjoy the kiosk ordering and the option to add or remove items to your ramen bowl if you wish. My ramen was ready in less than 10 minutes so thats a plus. Worth giving a shot at least.
OKI is a fast casual restaurant. For lunch, it seems most people do takeout. It is actually quite spacious inside, but the lighting could be improved. As for the food, the classic ramen was ok. For dine-in customers, I wish they wouldn’t serve the ramen in cheap disposable plastic bowls; it lessens the appeal of the food. Pass on the pork bun. The bun wasn’t pillowy soft, which leads me to think it had been sitting awhile.
I really miss my two go-to ramen places in this neighborhood: Bow Ramen and Ramen Takumi. Bow seems to have been done in by/during the pandemic (LOVED that place) and Takumi the year before it. This place feels like what I fear a modern, impersonal, robotic type of ramen shop might be like in Tokyo. You order from a touchscreen and the kitchen is in the back behind glass. Granted, I was there around 3 pm and it was dead but my other two above, still felt warm and friendly at such hours. This felt rather sterile. I had a tonkotsu ramen. It wasn't bad, it was just rather bland. The bowls were disposable as was all the cutlery. It feels as though many of the reviewers have never had a really great bowl of ramen and I pity them. The place was spotless, however.
