Our New Place New York Reviews
Tasty, large portions, good value. Lunch special is great.
This is the best Chinese food I've ever had! The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
This spot is the real deal. I’ve been coming here for a minute and it never misses. Food always comes out just the way I want it, no complaints. The staff is on point every time — big shoutout to JoJo for always holding it down!

I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 4 years and never tried this place because of the questionable reviews. It’s good, average Chinese takeout. -Mushu Pork: great. Double pancakes for $1 -Steamed bok choi (not on menu?, sauce on side): great -Veggie Lo Mein: good/average -Sesame chicken: great -Hot and Sour soup: bad. Had almost no flavor.
Picked up shrimp lo mein, crab sticks and wonton soup. The shrimp lo mein was good and I liked that it wasn’t saturated with oil. It also brought a decent amount of shrimp. My husband didn’t like the crab sticks; he found them mushy inside and over fried. And the wonton soup was okay, they did give a lot of wontons. I found the prices very reasonable for the area.

Went in for chicken and rice soup and was happily surprised, the broth was b3tter than I expected based off of previous reviews. This place was busy but the wait time wasn't long at all. I'll definitely be trying other food items off of their menu.

They charged me 29.47$ for my pick-up order of a General Tso Lunch Special (10.95$) and Pepper Steak w/ Onions (9.25$). The numbers don’t add up and their receipts aren’t itemized either. I know times are tough but the attached pic even with the free can of coke and egg roll was still highway robbery.

Sweet and sour chicken was mostly batter with barely any chicken. Fried rice was more like Spanish yellow rice with vegetables and pork mixed in. Eggrolls were decent. 1-3/10. Were Asian people cooking and ordering when I went in so I was hopeful but was ultimately disappointed.
I used to frequent this restaurant when I worked nearby. Back then ths food was pretty good. Not sure what happened, but the General Tso's chicken was fried too hard. It was not edible. The tofu was too chewy. The pork fried rice lacked flavor. The chicken wings were average. The food was very disappointing.
Their food quality is not consistent at all which is understandable. But usually I at least LIKE the food, sometimes love it. Last night however the egg roll was a floppy greasy mess, the sesame noodles were just slimy and gross, and the Szechuan chicken was bland. Even worse, and this should be a crime... The white rice was soggy and cold.

They are scamming by surcharging debit cards. That’s illegal and then the meat portions in a combo are pathetic. Save your money and go anywhere else. The picture I’ve attached is after I ate the chicken in a kung pao chicken combo.
They sucked again. Never read delivery instructions - did not get mustard again! Did not ask for soy sauce! Hot & Sour Soup is one of my gauges for a good chinese restaurant. Theirs is usually excellent but today NOT AT ALL. Thin consistencey; not sour or spicyat all. Where were the traditional ingredients (wood mushrooms, galangal, egg, pork etc?? Tasted like they put ketchup in it (YUK). Temperature was lukewarm. Egg foo young is another gadget for a good restaurant - yuk! I am thoroughly disappointed!! They do not care about customer service. No chopsticks & no napkins again.

I ordered in. Without exaggeration, the most tasteless, flavorless, disappointing Chinese food I've ever eaten. I feel I've lost 40.00 I'll never see again.
So I'm not one to usually leave a rating for Chinese take out but this one deserves a well written rating and review.. so I'd like to start by when I was ordering my meals I ordered half chicken w/fried rice and BBQ sauce only on chicken and french fries w/ chicken wings BBQ sauce on the fries..the lady then asked me , are you tipping on your card or in cash..I was then struck with so tipping is mandatory? What if I didn't want to? Then I received my food it was almost cold the delivery guy didn't even come upstairs (I did tip by the way even though I was reluctant) anyways the chicken wing was good extra crispy but the BBQ sauce tasted like medicine it was bitter and it was all over the rest of my meals both plates...it's no way to describe how angry and disgusted I was. The fries were hard as if it was sitting there for sometime and the BBQ sauce it was just disgusting it honestly tasted bitter and it made me gag my food was 25$ and I was charged a $2 delivery fee although it says free delivery with over a &15 minimum and $1 for using my bank card. All in all I WOULD NEVER EVER IRDER FROM HERE AGAIN . I ended up ordering pizza where I spent 30$ and I was happy it was hot and fresh . Zeros
The food at this place is decent, but the service is absolutely appalling. Both servers were mean, rude, cold, and arrogant. When I kindly asked them for details about the menu items, they not only failed to provide any helpful information but also dismissed me with irrelevant and unhelpful answers. To make matters worse, when I thought my order was ready and approached to pick it up, they gave me a cold stare, set the food aside without a word, and even rolled their eyes at me. I gave this place three chances, hoping things might improve, but I’ve had enough. These two servers made dining here feel like willingly subjecting myself to insults. I genuinely don’t know if the owner hired them to drive customers away, but if that’s the case, they’re doing a stellar job. There are plenty of great restaurants in the area with both delicious food and friendly service. As for this place, I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone until they address the staff’s behavior.
I have ordered for delivery various a few times, and they always give food contrary of one’s order. They never ever put in napkins of cutlery, and not to mention their prices are way high. Food is cold, rice is hard
The food was really disappointing. It tasted like it had been left out overnight and then reheated. The wings were crispy but seemed not so fresh but ok. I ordered their popular fresh shrimp and fried rice and that was horrable the rice was crispy and dried out!. Although the food was served hot, it still didn't taste fresh. The chicken thighs were definitely refried. The overall taste was very commercial. I will not be ordering from this place again.
HORRIBLE , please do not order from west place. I have a mushroom ALLERGY, they gave me mushrooms. They did not give me white rice with my curry (which had mushrooms). They do not follow instructions. I also ordered show mein, which I thought were noodles but they gave me a gloopy dish that looked like chicken soup. The pork fried rice had no flavor (GROSS) and the large was basically a small (waste of money). The dumpling I ordered had a penny sized amount of meat wrap with a billion layers of wrap. WASTE OF MONEY. Their food belongs in the trash.
The order was an hour late. I called twice, and was told the first time it would be ten minutes. Twenty minutes later they said one minute. I was on the phone with Seamless/Grubhub canceling when the delivery guy finally showed up. (Seamless was very good. They were in the process of canceling when I told them that the order was here, and they still offered me some kind of future discount.) The delivery guy laughed at me when I showed him the delivery time, an hour earlier. Rude and irresponsible, use one of the many many other Chinese delivery places.
Honestly a bit disappointed with my dining experience. I know I’ll sound like a Karen, but the customer service was a bit shoddy: the person working the cashier seemed distracted by their phone and other miscellaneous activities rather than focusing on efficient service. But mid customer service could be excusable by the food, if it were good — it was not. I ordered a soup and a chow mein combination dinner, and the first thing that stood out to me was that the fried rice came out mushy and unflavoured. I mean that takes skill to mess up fried rice like that, considering most Chinese restaurants use industrial rice cookers that’s designed to perfectly cook rice. And it’s not like the rice was mushy because they over-fried it: there was no hint of any char whatsoever. The second thing that stood out to me was the shrinkflation! The egg rolls and wontons were mostly wrapper, and the egg drop soup was thin and lacked eggs. Like I get times are tough in this economy, especially if you’re operating in the city, but it’s like come on. If you need to charge more for better food, then do it. I would’ve been perfectly happy paying $5-$10 more if it meant my wontons, soups, egg rolls, and fried rice actually tasted good and was satisfying. Also, the thing that broke the camels back in compelling me to make a review, was the fact that quality control is also really poor! I found a piece of plastic in my chow mein and I’m confused as to what part of that would necessitate plastic packed ingredients…
Worse chinese food I ever had in my life. The general tso chicken was mostly batter, barely meat in it. Also the house special fried rice was mostly just seasoned rice. Save yourself the money and order from somewhere else.
