Great, cute small bar
Absolutely amazing at any hour
Victoria Chase is amazing!!!
Karaoke was ok 👌🏾
In a city full of bars, this one stands out.
You got to go there🙂
Had a great time
Lovely place.
I love this spot. It's a small dive bar with karaoke, so don't go in expecting a quiet place to sit and be alone with your thoughts. The two drink minimum (and it doesn't need to be alcoholic, you can get water/mocktails) is super fair. I have a blast every time I go.
Cute, good vibe. Bartender was super friendly and attentive. Overall very nice experience and nice place to hang with friends :)
I love ending a night at Suite. Strong drinks, great music, and Brenda is my best friend.
Nothing more fun. Karoake and more!! Been here everyday for the past 2 weeks. Call me a drunkard but I come for the fun karoake or music.
A sleepy little 🌈 surprise in the neighborhood. Karaoke time has life!!!
Great place I lot of hot guys was very satisfied and had a great night and personal fun enjoyable
I was there last Friday night very nice place ppl very very friendly The drinks $ ✔ And the 🎶 💘
Cheap drinks, fun crowd, and love the Friday night drag show.
It's a nice bar. Drinks are nice and the environment good. Recommendable.
Love the bar however collage season is busy
Nice Friendly Gay Bar. Spent part of my New York '22 there. I really needed that.
Silas was a delight! Good convo and great service
Love this place! It's always a great time here!
Amazing unique queer space. I wish the bathrooms were better, the stalls don’t lock 😔. If the bathrooms were safer/friendlier to everyone I would come more often. ❤️
Great bar and great crowd, nice bartenders and karaoke is super cool, the drag shows are iconic and cute! Don’t miss out! This bar is unique
Love it! My first time here and luis made these good drinks along with a great dragshow night!

Dillip was great and attentive and Karaoke was a fun time. Very noticable two drink minimum sign for karaoke so please ignore the rude people reviewing like they couldn't read.
I’m a 68 year old, straight female and I LOVE this place!!! This is such an awesome place to do karaoke!!! Victoria is amazing! The patrons are lively and encouraging!!! Every time I come back to the city, I’ll visit… and SING here!!🎶 🎤
Wonderful oasis for the queer community uptown! The owner & his team are fantastic hosts for some inexpensive drinks & for fans of Indian cuisine, there’s a Kati roll run by the same owners. Highly recommended for everyone .. the queer community, the allies or just anyone looking for a fun evening.
Suite is the best gay bar in NYC. It’s not your traditional gay bar but it’s such a great vibe - people are chill, drinks are strong, no one is judge here. Victoria Chase leads the best karaoke and bartender Luis is always a DOLL!
The best lil karaoke joint in town!! Victoria is a goddess amongst mortals, Luis the bartender is going to sing on Broadway some day, and all the regulars are insanely talented. Love y'all ❤️ 💖 ❤️🔥
I LOVE Suite Bar. They’re always so welcoming and kind to their guests. About an hour ago a my friends and I wanted to grab a night cap. Eric, the bartender, was soooo sweet. They were about to close but he told us it was “last call”. He didn’t have to do that, but he did. And he graciously served us the drinks we ordered. Thank you Eric and Thank You Suite!
A super-comfortable gay space near Columbia. We really have fun with the drag shows, and we nearly always meet new friends there. And the bartenders are always helpful and quick. One caveat: avoid the beers on tap; they've been off-tasting and flat every time we've been there.

I rock with the Monday night Karaoke....
Really small & cozy place. Drinks are good and the bartenders are fast and attentive. The drag show was nice and entertaining.
I'm now this place because off Octavia & H Sunbeam ,, girls'' Is different bar from others more normal to chill with people have drink just chill Huge plus is alot parking near by
Whoever said the bartenders are rude is full I f it. Gurley really? These guys are so nice. Try it again...not that busy but I go at odd hours...and the staff great. Seriously...try it again
Hit or miss. Sometimes there's a large crowd and sometimes it's empty. There's usually karaoke or a drag show. Friendly vibe and nice space.
This dive gay bar on 109th and Amsterdam brings in a packed crowd nightly with the fun drag shows and inexpensive drinks.
I like this place. There are many boys between 21-25. Most of them Latinos. Some straight, some bi-sexual. I wanna go there again.
The drinks is ok
This was a pretty jumping place for a Sunday night. The bartender was super friendly and very conversational. We walked out towards the end, but I'm pretty sure there is karaoke on Sunday nights too.
This place for Karaoke is a happy place, very LGBTQ friendly, the amazing host is just incredible it pretty divey but lovely. Drinks are cheap and people are nice

Cool, cosy gay bar by Columbia. They had pretty cheap drinks and karaoke! They also had a drag show with an awesome drag queen that was funny, smart, and did backflips in heels!! There was a book release after-party when I went so the crowd was a little different than the usual so I need to go back on a regular night.

Stay clear, this place has dishonest staff and will rip you off any chance they get. I paid cash and they still charged my credit card a few hundred which the "Hold" Was under. We were with a party of 10 and they all were unimpressed with this place/service. We knew the party next to usand they were over charged $110. STAY CLEAR! Will be disputing this charge with the bank! There a lot of other places close to frequent with no hassles, Pearl, Munch bar, Parlor, Lucky strike etc...
Only problem is y’all don’t answer your phone to tell me what the actual secular is based on your OUTDATED schedule and when I call the other number it’s one foreign restaurant. Fix it.
Fun music/dancing/karaoke but select members of the crowd weren't the most welcoming
Considering it is one of the only LGBT bars in Harlem, the place is refreshing. Still, Suite's small space makes it uncomfortably crowded during the weekends. There tend to be plenty of locals here, though also an increasing number of Columbia students.
Manager is always super rude I hate when he’s there he kills the vibe
My first gay bar experience, and it was pretty underwhelming. Went to see the latest Drag Race episode. Drinks were fairly cheap and the crowd was genuinely enthusiastic about Drag Race, but the atmosphere wasn't as collegial or communitarian as I'd expect. Leave it to the Upper West Side gays...

not lesbian friendly
Like Alicia keys said :" No one. No one. No one."
Pretty unfortunate that we were treated with so much disrespect and dismissiveness immediately upon entering by the bartender. It's hard as a queer woman to find queer spaces that are inclusive. I'd recommend The Hamilton that's right next door! It's not an explicitly queer bar, but the folks working there are part of the community and are extremely welcoming.
My friends and I chose Suite to celebrate our upcoming graduation, and unfortunately it ended up being a disappointing experience. We had barely sat down when the bartender with the loose waves came over to “remind” us about the two‑drink minimum. A drink policy isn’t the issue — this is New York, we all know how that works. The issue was the unnecessarily rude and policing tone he used, which immediately made us feel unwelcome. When we went to order our first round, I asked if we could add our names to the karaoke list. I was told we couldn’t do so until both drinks had been purchased. Fine — except a large group came in after us and immediately started adding their names to the queue without buying anything. We also didn’t see the bartender approach them with the same “reminder” he gave us. I won’t speculate on why our table was singled out while others weren’t, but the inconsistency was noticeable and left a bad taste. What should have been a fun celebration turned into an uncomfortable night, and we won’t be returning.
I hate to leave a bad review on a queer space, but it’s now the third time I come and the bar tender has an attitude, policing me and my friends (black and brown) and not saying anything to white people. Comes up to the table, kareoke hasn’t even started, we just ordered our first drink, and says, “you need to order two drinks to stay or sing.” My friends submitted a kareoke card first and were they called, no. But a while man, on his first drink, I know because he was with our larger party, submitted his ticket, got his first drink, and then got to sing without waiting or even being told he needed to get two. Then my friend gets told to “take it outside” with such a tone and attitude, because she was finishing food we had already come in with. Mind you, this same exact bar tender reprimanded my friends and I last time for tossing out someone’s crumbs of outside food and made us get out of a table because the people were outside but he was reserving it for them. If you guessed the people with the “reservation” were white you’d be right. Everything is said with an attitude and his boss or manager just agrees with him. It’s a dive bar with plastic cup drinks charging as much as the nice bars in Hell’s Kitchen and making a big deal over honestly very meaningless things. The bar tender had made our queer group of black and brown folks feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Please do better.
cheap drinks but the bartender ruined the whole vibe. rude to us from the start and selectively enforced the two drink minimum policy.
Every few weeks I try to give this place another chance because it’s convenient and instantly regret it. If you’re not friends with the bartender don’t expect anything beyond attitude and subpar service at best. The owner just apologizes constantly for their behavior but doesn’t remedy anything.
Bartender was more concerned with having a personal conversation than serving customer…When I asked for his attention he was obviously bothered and eventually came over without any acknowledgment…just stood in front of me and looked at me…made my drink and never came back…Bummer I wanted to like the place…However bartender is hurting business by not making it a welcoming place.
Horrible experience. Staff told my group that If even one of us in the group didnt drink we had to go somewhere else. Incredibly rude. Won’t go back there for drinks ever.
The people 4 stars, the staff literally ruined the night for my friends and I. They were so rude especially the bartendress. Don't go here if you want a gay old good time move beyond Columbia this is not worth the time.
Tried to tip the drag queen DJ and she called my dior bag fake and tried to embarrass me in front of the whole bar
Very disappointed for the service, the bartender basically that if where not going to drink we had to leave. Ruined the night and of course I will not come back for drinks.
Instead of the bartender welcoming his costumers, he said “one sec baby” then proceeded to retrieve his drugs from is dealer(it was extremely obvious)…then took an extra 5mins to finish a 3-part cocktail. Work first then enjoy your vices.
There is something seriously wrong with the sound system here. 30 min into Karaoke night I left disoriented and with some lasting ear pain. DONT GO
They let someone literally scream into the microphone repeatedly at length last night during karaoke. The sound was already at TOP volume. The whole room was covering their ears with excruciating looks on their faces and they let the guy keep going/ no staff bothered turning the sound down a notch. The rest of the night was also super super loud, but as to be expected. Letting someone actually scream into a mic at length is not caring for the wellbeing of your patrons. Hearing damage is often irreversible after just one exposure to extreme volume. For those with audio processing or hearing related health issues, this is not a safe place without ear plugs. It was difficult to get fully carefree again after feeling like I experienced damage to my inner ear.
I’d rather be at Guantánamo Bay than listen to this karaoke. this karaoke torture should be illegal.
Got turned away because the bar tender thought my friend's ID was fake. We were pretty mad at the time but in hindsight it's pretty funny because it's one thing to think a fake ID is real, but how bad at your job do you have to be to think a real ID is fake. The bartender even bragged about being sooo discerning about fake IDs. What a joke.
