Nothing short of amazing! Everything about this dinner experience was above expectations. The service here was exceptional. Tahmias took excellent care of our every need. The food was incredible. There were primarily seafood selections on the menu, but other options were also available. However, I am confident that no matter what you order from their menu, the food served to you at the table will be flavorful and delicious. Enjoy your experience there as we did. 😋😁

The outdoor patio is lovely.. we dined privately outdoors last May during torrential rain! (We were scouting the Hudson for food delicious enough to crave on our wedding day). Visited Blu Pointe this summer for a dinner with friends. We started inside at the bar during a very busy Happy Hour for really fun, delicious drinks. Their beverage menu is so creative! Bartenders were great. We transferred into a table for dinner down a short ramp to the enclosed outdoor dining room/patio. We shared delicious appetizers, our meals were wonderful and we shared desserts. The drinks were excellent as was the service. Blu Pointe is a class act. If you’re going for Happy Hour in the bar area or dinner inside, you’re sure to be pleased with their consistent, quality delivery of food, beverages, & a fine dining experience.

One of the best crab cakes I've ever had. Steak was really good the sides were ok. Overall a great experience with an amazing view. Highly recommended if you have some extra money to spend on dinner.

Stopped by this restaurant hoping for a memorable evening, and in some ways, it delivered. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, and the view of the Hudson River was absolutely stunning. The bar had a great vibe too, perfect for unwinding with a cocktail. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match the ambiance. We ordered the fish and chicken dishes, and while they were okay, they lacked the flavor and finesse we were hoping for. Nothing was outright bad, just... underwhelming. If you're looking for a scenic spot with great service and a solid drink menu, this place is worth a visit. But if you're coming primarily for the food, you might leave a little disappointed.

We visited Blue Pointe Café on Sunday around 7 PM without a reservation and were seated outside by the bar with an amazing view. The service was absolutely top-notch! We tried the lobster mac and cheese and the Blue Point sushi roll - both were super delicious. The crispy calamari was great as well, though the Rockefeller oysters were my least favorite. For dessert, we had the amaretto crème brûlée, which was good. Overall, fantastic atmosphere, great food, and excellent service. Highly recommend!

Blu Pointe is a first class experience. The process of booking your reservation all the way through arrival and actually enjoying your meal, is a breeze. The staff is very friendly, the views are great, and the food is phenomenal. Recommend the steak for dinner! Oysters are very good too. Whether you sit at the bar for happy hour ($1 oysters from 4-7) or do a sit-down dinner, you can’t go wrong.

I booked reservations to celebrate my husband's 53rd birthday , and I am so glad I chose Blu Pointe restaurant, especially having never been there before . First I want to say the drink I had was excellent ! I wish I could tell you what it was but I don't remember the name and it is not on the menu online. The appetizers were amazing! We ordered the Maryland crab cake, the pigs on a wire, the Colossal shrimp cocktail and I believe the Hiroshi roll (see photos attached), but I could be mistaken. Either way we did order one of the sushi appetizers and it was fantastic. I ordered the South African lobster tails as an entree, and the accompaniments, the spinach and the potatoes, were a disappointment. The spinach was entirely too salty and the potatoes were soaking wet from the spinach. Crushed Yukon Golds should be crispy i/m/o, and they weren't. My husband ordered the Alaskan king crab legs, but, unfortunately, the server came back and told us they were sold out.😫 He wound up ordering the scallops and really enjoyed them. The creamed corn that they plated them on was extremely sweet and he did not enjoy it at all. At the end of the meal they brought over a dish of vanilla ice cream with Happy Birthday written in raspberry sauce with a candle! It, along with the birthday card they gave him when we were seated, was a really nice touch! The service was outstanding. If I could give them a thousand stars I would! Seriously, we have dined many places and the service at Blu Pointe is entirely on another level. I even mentioned to my husband what amazing service from young servers, so whoever trained them, kudos to them!

Rarely come across a perfect restaurant, but this is it. Relaxed yet self-assured vibes makes it easy to feel confident in great experience. Was supposed to be a quick mid afternoon pit stop on the way back to the city, but will most definitely go back again the next time driving upstate. Bread is great, especially the ones that come with lobstercargot. Pet friendly (at least small lap dogs), extremely welcoming but not overbearing staff from the seafood bar to the waiters. Lots of parking, views are phenomenal so be sure to get a seat in the enclosed outside section, but the interiors in both the large dining room as well as the living room/bar are great. Bathrooms remind of high end hotels, and most of all, the seafood is all great. Location is perfect along the quiet section of the waters here and seats are perfectly comfortable. Drinks also impeccable. Nothing negative to say, other than be aware of the price for certain higher priced menu items.

This is a beautiful restaurant with a great view. The service was fantastic, they met every need. The crab cake appetizer was a bit dry. The ceasar salad was delicious and the waiter made sure there were no anchovies. However the main courses were left underneath the heat lamp for too long, both the salmon and shrimp were dried out. We made a 5:00 reservation for Valentine’s Day about two weeks in advance, but when we arrived, there was about 50 people waiting in the entrance. After talking to some people, we had found out that 4:15 reservations were still waiting to be seated at 5:00. I’m not really sure what the point of a reservation is if you’re going to over book that significantly. We were seated for our 5:00 reservation at 5:40, with no accommodations or apologies. Our waiter, though, was fantastic. We had mussels, crab cakes, steak & lobster which were all great. After getting home and looking at our leftover container, we realized that whoever packaged our leftovers only gave us half of what was left. Good food and great waiter, but overall disappointing experience.

This is my first time writing a review. We came here early in the morning with the whole family for a vacation meal, and I was really looking forward to it, but the experience was a big letdown… The seafood tower wasn’t fresh at all, it tasted like it had been frozen and thawed, and even had a fishy smell. The cheeseboard was disappointing too, with cheese that was dry and hard and lacked any creamy smelling. Even the French fries came out soft and not hot. After the meal my stomach already felt uncomfortable, and I just hope I don’t actually get sick. If I do, I’ll definitely be seeking compensation from the restaurant. For the price they charge, it’s simply not worth it, and I definitely won’t be coming back.

This restaurant had a lot of promise. They serve fresh seafood and have relationships with local fishermen. However the food and service was mediocre. I had the branzino which was fine - nothing special and my husband had the salmon which was very dry and over cooked. The service was also very slow and I think they don’t have enough severs. It’s definitely not worth the price. The space itself was beautiful. We got a great seat by the windows overlooking the water however the AC system was blowing cold air directly air on us. Editing my review to add that a family member tried to treat us to this meal by calling the restaurant. They charged her for someone else’s table.

My wife and I were celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary and I wanted to surprise her with a different place and landed upon Blu Pointe seeing it on Instagram, so I made an 8pm reservation over the phone the morning of. I asked to be seated by the window but the hostess said it's against restaurant policy to hold specific areas of the restaurant, so I said it was fine. We arrived and checked in only to wait about 15 minutes to be seated either because the one hostess wasn't seating people quick enough or they were short because they were on the tail end of the night. Once we got to our table, our waiter was professional and courteous and welcomed us as it was our first time. He asked what type of water we wanted. I said Tap; as he returns with the water, I noticed the glassware was dirty and had smudge marks on the glass. I stopped him and showed him. He was a little taken back and got us new glasses. He took our drink and appetizer order which came to our table rather quick and might I add was really tasty. He took our food orders and shortly came back to say that he was being pulled from the floor and we had a new waitress and gave us the name. We finished our appetizers and first set of drinks, order another round and were waiting and waiting for a while. The time was 9:30pm and was wondering where our food was, so we flagged a bus boy down and asked him for our new waitress who comes over to ask if we need to place our order. We told her we did already with the first waiter and we've been waiting for a while, she said she would go check on it; we mentioned we didn't get our second set of drinks and said she'd check on those too. I was livid but not trying to cause a scene because it was late and my mood was already soured for waiting this long. We finally got our food which again tasted great but waiting for it changed my mind. Once we finished, we ordered dessert and eventually got the bill. I was going to ask her if she could have taken the dessert off the bill but I think either she was new or clearly she dropped the ball when she picked up our table, so I didn't want to frazzle her, my wife said to let it go. I do want to add that a family of 4 were seated after us, they got their dinner entrees before us and was leaving while we were eating which didn't make sense to me. In conclusion, the food and drinks were great, service not so much and I hope management can correct this so I can give me 5 stars across the board.
