I didn't think I liked corn dogs then I had theirs. Ended up getting a second. Truly a classic and delicious

This was one of the greatest clam chowders I've ever had in my life. The bread for the bread bowl was so buttery and fresh, the soup itself was seasoned well with rosemary and tasted amazing. It was overall the best food I've had on Balboa island...10/10 would recommend.

Stopped by for a cup of Joe. Coffee is good and inexpensive. They have a great breakfast and lunch/dinner menu. Will come back and try their breakfast and a slice of pie.

This is a very cute little place to stop by for coffee, sweets, a snack or a glass of wine, the server/barista, Sharon, was super sweet and friendly, and the service was very fast.

Cubano sandwich was delicious!! Sweet bbq sauce but not overpowering. A sandwich you definitely need a fork for. Just window shopped their desserts but looked amazing. I finished with a dirty chai latte and definitely a must try if you are a chai fan.

Delicious breakfast. It's small and busy, but very good! Tried the cinnamon coffee cake and it was fantastic. I would absolutely go back and try all their baked goods!

We stopped in to get some dessert to finish off a beautiful evening wandering around Balboa Island. What a delightful experience! It was near closing time, and the owner was there helping us. He was super friendly and fun. That made our time there even more enjoyable! The desserts were delicious. Crocker's is definitely at the top of our list of places to eat in the Newport area! Thanks, John (or Fred)!!

WILL NOT DISSAPOINT!! I just stopped in for what seemed like a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised. First, let’s start with the atmosphere. Cool little place with amazing ambiance as well as set up (see photos). Great selection as well as a adjoined restaurant next door serving other items. I went with two big and juicy hot dogs. Side note: can customize as no extra cost! I ordered to go. Dude taking my order was extremely friendly and all smiles. Fast service! Came in a nice to go box and well arranged, again, see the photos below. Would definitely recommend checking out! They also have kosher hot dogs! Oh and great prices! You will not be disappointed!!

Nice, friendly, cozy, and great comfort food. I had the BLT w/ avocado and a bowl of clam chowder. I enjoyed every bit of it, and cannot wait to try my next choice! Their desserts look amazing, and will not forget next time.

It was a beautiful day on Balboa Island and we enjoyed a very nice lunch sitting at one of the outside tables. My sister's clam chowder in a bread bowl was delicious, as were my husband's fish and chips. I savoured every single bite of my turkey pesto melt. Nice people, too.

I love their sweets available. I ate there 3 times in 48 hours because there was a nice variety and also the sweets. I had the lemon blueberry tart, the mixed berry cheesecake, and also the buckeye pie. I also had the bratwurst, sweet potato fries and we had breakfast as well. Everything was delicious.

What an amazing find!! The staff was so nice & the food is excellent! We ordered the Wild & wet chili dog (beef hotdog) and captain’s 911 kraut without the bun for gluten free allergy, delicious!!! Multiple gluten free options available. Muffins and pies and everything looks amazing! You sit and eat and people watch, cool little restaurant and we definitely can’t wait to visit again soon!

If you’re looking for a delightful place to grab a bite at Balboa Island, Crocker's should definitely be at the top of your list of places to eat in the Newport area! The owner is very helpful and made us laugh! Definitely great customer service and suggestions. What we tried: 🥣 Clam Chowder (so good) 🐟 Beer Battered Cod (light & crispy) 🥒 Fried Zucchini (great substitute for fries) 🥧 Pecan pie (warmed) Everything was delicious!

Great nostalgic spot on Balboa Island. Simple classic diner style dogs, burgers, and fries combined with a coffee shop/ bakery. It's definitely worth an afternoon lunch, or evening desert and coffee.

Small place but good food. They are known for their hotdogs which were tasty! They have a large selection of baked goods. I didn't love the chocolate chip cookies and will try a milkshake next time. My husband got the turkey melt panini and said it was yummy. The turkey was sliced thick and the avocado was fresh. Also came with grilled mushrooms. My little one had a breakfast plate and the eggs were good. Limited seating but we, surprisingly, got an outside table for the 4 of us without waiting.

Pleasant surprise on Balboa. Pretty good food and excellent coffee. My wife got the spinach and egg plate and I got the classic. We will definitely be back.

Awesome lunch for the whole fam! Sandwiches are huge and so tasty, both the garlic and sweet potato fries are spectacular, and be sure to save room for dessert! The hardest thing will be deciding what to order!

Thanks for the free cookie, I liked my turkey pesto melt :) wish there were spoons we could take to eat the coleslaw/ salad side though.

Great side walk cafe. Prices are are on the high side due to the location. Serves hot food, bakery items desserts, coffee etc...friendly and great customer service. Food- flavor & value for money did not meet expectations. 2 - 3 tables with aprox capacity of 12 persons.

Cozy cafe with American food and friendly service. Great spot for baked goods. The hundreds of dollar bills stapled to the walls give an aura of nostalgic patriotism to the small business.

The foot long glizzy was great, but I also tried the blueberry pound cake and it was a bit dry and stale. It was definitely made a day or two prior, which was disappointing. I did like looking at an the baked goods, and I'd certainly go back. I just wish the cake was fresh.

The atmosphere is 10/10. This little shack has more personality than most people have. Dollar bills are tacked to every inch of the walls and ceilings with handwritten notes from the guests. The food used to be amazing but has lost some of its quality over the last few years. There’s usually enough seating inside, but can be tight at times. Great location and close to the peninsula side of the island.

Lunchtime at work celebrating a co workers birthday and she wanted Fish and Chips. Welp she searched and found this restaurant. The Yelp reviews looked promising so here we go I got the Italian Chicken Mozzarella sandwich (without the pesto). Very tasty and of course the cheese 😋. She got fish and chips. Also some zucchini bites and the clam chowder. The chowder is very good, bites are average but fine and the fish and chips were ok because it’s not beer battered so she was let down a bit, but again still good. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 7. We had it delivered so I can’t comment on the atmosphere or service. Give it a try I believe you will like it.

Stopped in for breakfast while visiting Balboa Island for the day. It’s a nice, laid back spot that has a menu with plenty of options. I wound up getting the avocado toast, which was very tasty. My only criticism is that I asked for no tomatoes at all and there were still tomatoes on the plate. Thankfully I’m not allergic, so I just ate around them. Overall, happy with our visit and would definitely go back again.

Small, but quaint Cafe type establishment. Good food, not a bad price (considering you're on Balboa Island) & decent portions. The BLTA was Delicious! And the locale & scenery, just lovely. And for those not familiar, the public restrooms are at the Fire Station.

Was so excited to try this place since I'm from Chicago and the service ruined the experience right away. The young girl working couldn't explain any specials on the special board and when I asked do they have Italian beef she didn't know what that was. I ordered Chicago hot dog and onion rings. The Chicago dog cost 9 dollars. However, when I ate the dog it was worth. Overall, food was solid but service ruined the experience

I give it a 3 star because....really, $6.50 for a small scoop of icecream...really?.... What's this icecream made of?

My husband and I have been there 3 times. We loved the coffee and their pies are delicious. This afternoon we had a bad customer service experience. We were at our table still eating and the cashier who helped us earlier came to us and asked if he could remove our pie and clear our table. We told him we were not done yet. About 20 minutes later he came back to clean up our table before we got done drinking our coffees. He didn't take our plate, left it on the table and had a rude attitude we didn't appreciate. I would love to come back for the food but this was a turn off.

This is a cozy little spot in the island. Nothing fancy or memorable but available. Hot dogs were just okay. The blueberry coffee cake was great but I don’t believe it was homemade.

I ordered the parmesan parsley onion rings and a small individual apple crumb cheesecake. The cheesecake was tasty, but the onion rings were terrible. $9 wasted. They were fried to a hard crisp. While I saw the powdered cheap parmesan and parsley on the rings, there was no flavor of parmesan, parsley or even onion. I want to see and taste the onion in my onion rings. These were just burnt batter basically, no hint of onion. The ranch dip was generic tasting too. The restaurant is very small with limited seating. They have a large menu and alot of dessert choices, which they said are made at their other restaurant.

Small, cozy restaurant covered in personalized mementos from previous guests. Decent enough food. Kind of bland. Baked goods and good service.

This place is crazy expensive and the food quality is not backing the prices. The chili is unflavored, the pulled pork sandwich is definitely under seasoned, and the burgers needs more flavor. I asked for it medium and it came out well-done. Again a $16 dollar burger, that doesn't come with fries and is a little hole in the wall, should taste great and be cooked to order.. Basically more flavor and seasoning. The one thing I enjoyed was the hot dogs. I've been here 4 times.

K

We ordered 2 cappuccinos. We took one sip and nearly spit it out because it was scalding hot!!! I couldn’t even tell you how they tasted because we literally burnt our tongues. They should not serve beverages so hot that they are a hazard!

N

Paid $60 for a key lime pie, that was genuinely a 3/10. Next to zero lime taste, crust was lacking, the only saving grace was that the actual pie part was decent. Closer to a cheesecake than a key lime pie. Do not waste your money on the key lime pie.
