Peet's Coffee Newport Beach Reviews
Friendly staff. Newly remodeled. Lots of parking. I especially love their cold brew fog. No bitter aftertaste. I also love their jalapeno cheese pretzel. Two of my favorite things at Peet's.
When we are in CDM our go to coffee shop is Peet‘s coffee. The barista‘s do a great job and the courtyard just outside has a fountain and many types of outdoor seating that provides space to have conversations and enjoy their specialty drinks. The staff is always friendly, but be prepared for long lines at times because everyone loves this place!
The coffee was very good. Friendly staff. Would recommend.
The perfect coffee place to study or hang out with family and friends. Awesome Coffee and Tea's assortments. The Customer Service by the Staff is very excellent and welcoming. Overall: A friendly atmosphere. Very cozy and warm. Beautifully decorated with modern decor and very spacious coffee shop whether inside or outside on the patio. Clean inside and also the restrooms too. I really enjoyed the flavor of Peet's more than some of its larger competitors and this location has friendly staff, healthy food options, and outdoor seating to allow you to really savor your experience . Highly recommended !!!
Food: I ordered one of their signature lattes. You could taste the freshest of the coffee. The latte wasn't too sugary and was just right. Plenty of other signature drinks to choose from and pastries. Service: the baristas were nice, friendly, intentive and was ready to suggest items to a first-timer. Final thought: was perfect for a quick stop. Small location but there is seating inside. There's also patio seating that includes a beautiful view of a fountain. There was also live music in the courtyard.

Amazing Vanilla Javiva! ALMOST better than Starbucks ;) (sorry, gotta be loyal) but seriously, delicious and the baristas were really cool!
Love the service and their pastry 🥐🪷
Coffee is always good here and the staff was awesome too:) best place for coffee at Newport
Awesome location. Super friendly team of people that work there too. Kudos to the hiring...

Peet's is definitely a step up from Starbucks in nearly every possible way. Their baristas are more skilled, the drinks are better, and there aren't a lot of 1,000-calorie drinks masquerading as coffee. Two caveats: Since they bought Mighty Leaf, their tea selection has gone way downhill. Fifty varieties has slumped to perhaps six, and they're nothing to write home about. Second, the baristas and order-takers seem stressed and gloomy these days. They may be understaffed, or they may be oppressed by management. I hope something brightens their day.
On our last visit, our lattes were slightly more bitter than usual, and we were not offered insulator sleeves, even though the cups were quite burning hot. They were not particularly busy, so we were not quite sure why they were not more proactively customer friendly. We still love Peet's, though!

The coffee shop was nice and the service was amazing. But, there was a lack of dairy free options (only almond milk and oat milk). The drinks are also a bit too bland.
I had to be at an appointment this morning. Thought I would stop for a quick drip coffee. I discovered that they were busy with online orders and it took quite a while to get my coffee. I asked the lady who took my order if she could just give me my cup of coffee. Nope. I'm thinking they should have someone there to take care of people who just walked in. The coffee was OK.
Iced blended mocha did not come out correct at this location. It's very unfortunate to have a negative review especially cause the staff was so nice. The drink was watered down and they do not have a drive thru here niether.
There is a reason as to why I do my orders with an extra cup, not for you to ignore that part of my order and pocketing the cost difference as your tip.

As an ex-barista I expect a bit more friendliness from the employees. They were very standoffish. Also, I ordered oat milk in my latte (which costs extra) and was given regular milk.
There’s not enough sugar in the world to make the espresso here taste good. Weird because I buy their beans and make my own espresso and it’s wonderful. My guess is that they don’t clean and/or descale the machine. A shame since it’s such an easy fix.
Asked for a medium chi tea and there was about a quarter of just foam. I should have just asked for a small with no milk. The lady was quick to take our order & get out our drinks. The restroom was out of order. And the lobby was clean

This must be a Peet's franchise store because it doesn't use the classic Peet's 'showerhead' brewing system. They use a drip system which makes their coffee pedestrian in every way. It's no different than a gas station or convenience store coffee. Find a REAL Peet's for the best coffee experience you'll ever have.
Over-roasted coffee, too hot milk after whipping, can't even hold a cup in my hands(by rule coffee should be temperature for drinking immediately after dispensing) It's a small size in the photo, it's ridiculous… —- I just edited my review, it's been over 10 minutes and I still can't drink my coffee.....
Unfriendly staff, not very helpful or smart when it comes to helping out customers. Amy was the exception because she was a little bit nicer, but overall the rest of the staff were a total negative energy and Buzzkill for the morning. I would be very careful to select who I would employ at a coffee shop to greet people and make them feel good first thing in the morning. Service was also very slow.
