Royal Thai Cuisine receives mixed reviews. Many praise the authentic Thai flavors and excellent service. Some classic dishes like Pad Thai are well-received, but there are complaints about inconsistencies in food quality and specific dishes like the coconut rice and chicken satay.
Tip: Stick to the classic Thai dishes for the best experience.

Great service and delicious food, though I would recommend sticking with the classics. For example, the larb part of the Larb Tacos was good, but not the tortilla, and the noodles in the Pad Thai had amazing flavor and texture, but the prawn on the side was disappointing. Parking is conveniently located behind the building or underneath it in the garage. The outdoor patio is a great place to dine on a warm evening.
Delicious food. Quality, fresh ingredients. Super friendly service. They are open late (check online for hrs) and they deliver (via grub hub, postmates, etc.). They are located on the 2nd floor next to a shabu shabu restaurant, make sure you look up because it's easy to miss from a car's view. They have parking in the structure they are attached to, just remember they are on the 2nd floor. Pictures below, you have pineapple rice (so good; presentation amazing) and tom kha gai soup (pardon my spelling).
This is now my favorite Thai food restaurant, Great service and delicious food. I would definitely patronize their establishment again and again.
My favorite Thai spot ever. Their food is great and service is always wonderful. The chef’s special fried fish is noteworthy!
Great little restaurant, opened late. Food quality is excellent, menu is very authentic reminded us of being in Thailand.
FORSURE THE BEST AND MOST DELICIOUS THAI FOOD THAT I AND MY FAMILY ENJOY EATING ALL THE TIME AT SUBHANNAHONG ROYAL THAI CRUISINE. WHAT TEXTURE! EMMMMMMMMMM , SO GOOD. THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT FOOD. ONLY THAI RESTAURANT OPEN TILL 2 AM. ENJOY....
Delicious Thai food. Was very pleased with the coconut soup. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
Loved discovering this little late night treasure. Such good Thai food. Wonderful flavor & menu. Thank you!
Absolutely incredible flavors. Beware - their spicy can be intense, but extremely satisfying. My favorite Thai spot in years.
Food was fresh, delicious and authentic and arrived quickly in our delivery. A great local find, we will be ordering from them again soon!
Great food open late and chill environment..... Def will visit again!
The best Thai food I have evever had. The prawns were delicious and that pat Thai was one of the best. I love this place.
Absolutely amazing pad see ew, always want and fresh. Beware of spices, they are no joke! Consistent and excellent.
Great food. Not crowded at all. Maybe not the greatest location but aren't all great food finds a little secret?
If you arrive at the right time, no better sunset views. Food is good (Curry fan) fair prices.
Great seating and food. If you like fresh authentic Thai food this is the place.
Best curry I’ve ever had. Truly awesome and reasonably priced.
It is a delicious food. Small portion, but very good!
Amazing food .. fresh and very tasty 😋 . Presentation was awesome .. I would rate it as 5 star quality of food.
Food is delicious. The Tom Yum Fried Rice is a must- out of this world!
The most amazing Thai restaurant in the entire South Bay— and we’ve tried many!
Delicious ! The waiter was very kind tonight also. Thank you.
Great flavors and large portions. An awesome Thai meal!
Open late in the southbay. Not many can claim that. Food has always arrived hot
Late Night Open- Amazing Hidden Jewel of a Thai Restaurant. Here to visit in Redondo Beach. Saturday night... restaurants close early. Thankfully, this one is open. Small, friendly staff, super fresh food, moderate prices! Best Thai food I had in a while. What a surprise! Full heartedly recommend! CALL THEM if you have trouble finding it.
Came here late last night for dinner. I love that they are open late, and the food is tatsy. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and be warned their spice is very spicy. This is next to the shabu place.
REALLY Nice n Clean place! The Crispy Pork and Chinese Broccoli is very Tasty. BACON Chicken Larb is amazing, the bacon is a nice twist, i had the spiciness about 7/10 was good n hot. KANA is always a pleasant server with a great 😃 smile.
Pleasantly surprised by this place. We got there around 7pm on a Friday night. Usually prime dinner time. However we were the only party there. Ordered 200 Years Pad Thai, Fried Fish and Garlic, Tom Kha Gai, and Papaya Salad. Everything was excellent. Most restaurants pad Thai is generally flavored the same way and is usually ketchup based. This one definitely was tamarind based and delicious. The tom kha gai his your palette with sweets and sours and spices. Fried Fish was crispy crunchy deliciousness. And one of the top Papaya salads I've had. We have been trying to find a quality Thai restaurant in the South Bay. I think we may have found it.
The best Thai food in the South Bay. Flavor is authentic and off the charts. Great service as well. Highly recommend!
Authentic Thai restaurant in the Redondo beach area! For vegetarians, I'd definitely recommend Tom kha and Pad Kee mao. The food is incredible and the restaurant is open until 1 am. Do ask about their spice levels, 10/10 is insanely spicy!! Medium spice level in a typical Thai restaurant would be a 3/10 here.
This restaurant is my favorite Thai restaurant. The food is authentic, bursting with flavor and balance, transporting you to Thailand. A family-owned restaurant with a real home cooking feel! Come and support this local family business.
Best Royal Thai food & Service in town! Curry is Awesome. Thier crispy pork is excellent. All dishes are made with texture and elegance. Wowwww what tasty and hot spices. Emmmm sooo sooo GOOD. I recommend this elegant and cozy restaurant. Bring the family and Enjoy! I did. Alfred. Castaneda.
My girlfriend and I met in Thailand but hadnt eaten thai food together since so we wanted to give this place a shot. The food was very-much served the same way as in Thailand, and we enjoyed a conversation with the waiter Alex about the country and its food and had a wonderful time! Food was excellent, definitely recommend the green curry and 200 year pad thai!
Yummy Thai food! Great service, friendly, informative servers, on point and attentive. Everything was beautifully served and delicious. The price is a bit high in comparison to other places but worth it. Excellent place!
Discovered this on Google maps and had a late Saturday lunch. Very fresh and tasty. I got the ginger chicken "thai style" with fried egg on top. Good authentic Thai food. Will be back for more!
Though small but cool place with fantastic service. We went there for a small group get together and we all had a nice time. Another thing I love was the soap and lotion in the restroom, it has this welcoming peppermint smell. I recommend this place
Loved the food and spice. Their level 5 is pretty spicy and 3 is about medium. I will order 6 next time.
Spectacular food, great service. Open until 1am. I’d come here again and again.
Hidden gem. Great service. Nice presentation and food were delicious!! We had the 200 years Pad Thai and Radna. Will come back for sure. So glad we found this place!!!
Delicious and open late for midnight munchies. Their in-house chili’s and chili powder are absolutely delicious. Nice staff in a hidden location making this a hidden gem.
Best Thai food we’ve eaten in the US. Everything we had was fresh and nicely presented. Outside deck at night with flame heater was lovely.
Didn't know this place existed until my wife saw a coupon. Had dinner there and we both got excited. EXCELLENT food. We could not understand how this great of a restaurant could be around us and we hadn't heard a word. Every dish we had was 5 star. The workers were friendly and efficient and made our experience that more enjoyable. This is a place we will continue to visit. We highly recommend this restaurant if you would enjoy good Thai food.
Absolutely amazing Thai food, freshly made, great service. They also have gluten-free options if you ask for it. Make sure you don't overestimate your hotness. I did! 6 is way too hot for me, but yeah, try it. I've been going to this place for years and the quality just doesn't change. It's awesome.
5 Stars for Management for being so understanding they were kind over the phone and ensured that my order was redelivered on time. A mistake that they could have truly ignored but took the time to make sure it was corrected
I just happened to be in the neighborhood and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere of this place was so nice. It felt intimate. The service was amazing. They kept coming up check on us. The food... Oh the food was some of the best I've had. They really know how to make sweet dishes and savory dishes. The presentation of the food was also gorgeous. Would definitely come again.
Food was pretty good, but expensive compared to the portions served. We got the panang curry, red snapper with 3 flavor sauces, and holy basil fried rice with chicken and all were delicious. Review should really be a 4.5, with the half star deduction from the price.
My favorite Thai restaurant in the South Bay. Their summer rolls and green curry are out of this world, their pad kee mao is fire, and I have never had a bad dish here after trying most of the items on the menu.
We initially looked on google where we can have good Thai food in south Redondo Beach and we found this amazing Place. Tim is very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. My whole family loved This place. We ordered quite a few different dishes and turned out everything was superb. Can’t recommend enough to try out this place.
Yummy food made fresh. We love it!
Delicious and authentic food! Heed their warnings when talking to them about spice levels as they’re the real deal which is why I love this place. Have tried their pad kee mao, curries, and most noodle dishes on their menu and have not been disappointed once over the last year I’ve ordered here. Highly recommended.
The food is incredible. I'm vegetarian, so I really appreciated the fact that the veggies were all tender. Every detail seemed like it was meticulously crafted. The fact that they are open till 1am is a god send, even if the food wasn't some of the best Thai I've ever had. The staff is super friendly, informative and attentive! The thai Ice teas are huge, as are all the other portions. The presentation is so beautiful! Very gourmet level visual appeal, even though the prices are actually very affordable! I was expecting a bigger bill for what I ordered! The food is def more authentic style, so be careful when ordering the curries that you adjust for the authentic spicy levels!! It's still delicious, even when a bit spicier than what I was expecting haha! Bottom line, they get all my thai food/late night business from now on. Thank you for doing it right!
Food is flavorful and in true Thai fashion you get to choose on a 1-10 scale spiciness. Menu wasn't so broad that you got lost and the pictures were helpful. Owner even came out to chat, very friendly! We'll certainly go back.
What a great kitchen in a hole in the wall place. The waiter listens, gets it right, and the food is super -each ingrediant is tasted, textures are wonderful, bonanza of flavor and color. But getting there was so much fun; walked 10 minutes from room and realized it is behind an Arby's. No wall signs, accidently almost went to a Japanese place. So glad I was persistent. Yum. Fun. And open late. This place delivers.
Best Thai in the South Bay, we got the green curry and pad see ew both with tofu and they were great. They also offered to take out the egg if we were vegan, which was nice of them to offer. We’ve been looking for a good Thai restaurant for a while and we’ll be coming back here for sure!
Hands down the best Thai food in the South Bay. Their curries are incredible. They take the heat seriously. I like spicy food and think I have an above average spice threshold and this is probably the only place where I am apprehensive to order anything spicier than a medium.
I don't usually leave reviews but I just had lunch here with a friend and I got the red curry with coconut rice. It's one of the best Thai meals I've ever had. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it actually was. The staff were very friendly and the food arrived fast. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
The Best Pad Thai I’ve Ever Had! Nothing Else Comes Close..Excellent Customer Service..Five Stars 100%
Wonderful experience. There are lots of places to eat Thai food in South Bay. My wife wanted to try their Pineapple Shrimp fried rice so went there. It's a very clean place with ample parking. (Easy access from PCH.) The waitress was very patient and attentive. We found the food to be delicious and the drinks very reasonably priced. We will be back. It was great! Just know that there isn't much of a Thailand atmosphere in the restaurant. Regardless, we loved it! The people who work here were speaking Thai, which in my mind is very comforting.
Wanted to check this place out for a while. It’s very good :) thanks!
This place is really tucked away and super easy to miss. Food was good. Spice level 2 is their "medium" and they arnt joking 5 had me starting to sniffle. We were the only ones in the restaurant at 9 on a Wednesday. Server was friendly and attentive enough. The food came out fast. They still have their Christmas decorations up but I mean I guess why not...
This place was really tasty. We went to Redondo intending to eat at a restaurant that had unfortunately closed. This was really near the same place and has good reviews. If you are a fan of spicy hit foods, this place would definitely be for you. My son asked for a mild curry. He was coached to do a 3 on a 10 point scale. It was nearly too but for him. They have many of the typical Thai dishes. Service was great and the portions were good sized for a reasonable price. So if you like Thai food and are in the area, you should give this place a try.
Checked out this place one night when I was craving Thai. It's so nice having a good thai restaurant in the south bay. The food was delicious and their spice levels definitely over perform! The portion was good, the quality of the food was perfect. I will be back and I highly recommend this hidden treat! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Great food and ambiance. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Two of us shared a green Thai iced tea, red curry, and dessert and left fully satisfied. I was surprised by how quiet the restaurant was but I think this can be attributed to the somewhat secluded location. Worth the search for the stairs. It was honestly the best Thai meal I've had in the area. The spice level was spot on, the veggies were fresh, and the drinks were refreshing. I'll definitely be coming back.
Great food at a great price. A lot of food. Super good promos, gave me a $10 discount, unfortunately couldn’t tip directly on Uber Eats so went out of my way to write this review! Check this place out
We ordered take out while in town for a quick vacation and were very happy we did. The service was kind and friendly and most importantly, they were happy to accommodate our vegan request modifications. We appreciated that the tofu in the dishes was fresh - not fried - and that they could make the summer rolls with tofu instead of shrimp. Fresh vegetables in the dishes as well was notable. It was a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and everything was fresh and made to order. Would return.
The pad see ew was really good with chicken. Maybe a little salty but still great. It was nice that they're open very late too as we got dinner at 8:30.
You're not in LA so the portions are not going to be big if you're used to the Thai restaurants up there but this is one house that's open till 1 a.m. And the service was super friendly.
The staff are friendly and the food is really good. We enjoy the food and the environment.
It’s a good option for late night food in and around Torrance. Food tastes good and pretty quick service.
The restaurant was tucked away and had amazing food that was delicious and spicy like it was from Thailand. The food definitely hit the spot and the service was great, the guy gave us everything and didn't wait hours.
Great pineapple rice. Sweet and sour is not bad, don't get me wrong, it is very tasteful but felt like it was 90% vegetables and fruit and 10% pork. Would definitely come back and keep trying more plates.
Some flavorful menu! But be aware of your confidence in spicy tolerance. Lol this place will surely put you through challenge if you say SPICY! Nonetheless, each time I went for less spicy menu I throughly enjoyed!
Every time I am in town I stop here. Great food.
The best food here is the Tom Yum Soup and the Fried Prawn. I used to like the crab fried rice here, but it has become too greasy. I have stopped ordering it. Tom Yum soup makes me feel better when I have a cold. The fried prawn has fried garlic on top, and fish sauce is a great combination.
Small portion sizes for the amount you're paying for is my first impression here. The tofu isn't super crispy or deep fried either. It's ok but nothing spectacular worth the 4.5+ star rating though. Not sure I'd reorder.
If you're looking for a lower priced Thai restaurant in Redondo beach area, try this place. We liked the variety. They have authentic Thai flavors. $$ moderate pricing. Free parking. Very nice staff. Partial ocean views. I will be back there with my friends.
Asked for am above average/medium spice level and got mild. Curry was the only thing that had a good amount of seasoning. Pad Thai and royal rice were sub par for flavor.
if you order the broccoli that’s called lovers broccoli, it’s literally broccoli and chicken boiled and then taken out of boiled water and put on the tray no sauce no salt no flavor it’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever purchased in my life. It’s like on purpose I feel like I’m getting punked the food has zero flavor! It’s incredible how somebody could serve something like this and consider themselves a restaurant it’s a laughable! basically YOU can go to the grocery store buy yourself broccoli get some white chicken, boil in water and that’s it! if there was any positive to say is that it was fresh
Didn't like the place. Food was 2/5. Wouldn't come back. Better place near.by torrance and anza.
Underwhelming, to say the least. Small portions and large prices. I do have to say that it was tasty however most any Thai food is. Nice view, service and atmosphere.
We ordered from this restaurant because they close late and my regular Thai place was closed for the night. Me and my boyfriend agreed to never buy food from this place. We eat Thai at least twice a week and this place food didn't taste good and was way too spicy. Tofu and pad Thai was not flavorful at all.
Food taste was not appropriate. Bit extra spicy for what was ordered. Pad thai was bland and curries did not even meet basic thai food standards in the area. Other much better options available in Torrance/ Beach cities.
I'm very picky about my Thai food I grew up on Thai and Lao food the thai food I ordered the chicken sautay, laab tacos, pad saw ew and thai boat the chicken was overcook as well as the laab but the flavor were good so I had high expectations for the main dishes needless to say it was underwhelming the dishes was under season and bland and all the meat was overcooked
Very bland food. No wait service, you order through QR code and they bring the food out. If you need anything you have to get up and find them. Will not be going to this restaurant again.
We’ve been ordering from here as our go-to Thai for years and the food we got today was a huge disappointment and nothing compared to what it used to be. The chicken satay was not edible. Feels like it was cooked over 3 times. Like many places around, the price has gone up, but the quality has dropped precipitously. Won’t be ordering from here again
they just left package at hotel and never sent me an email whether package is delivered or not!! I gave them my room number as well but no call from them either on my personal cell or via hotel line about delivery status!!
They disregarded my phone order when calling in. They waited until I walked in the door to start cooking my food. They kept me waiting for 25 minutes with my family in the car. I was highly dissatisfied and will not be going here again.
Worst possible Pad Thai -chicken I have ever tasted...was smelled bad, went for late dinner around 9 pm thought they didn’t serve fresh food...
! AVOID ! Possibly the saddest experience I can remember. I would not recommend this place at all.
I highly recommend to go somewhere else besides this place. That's all I can say! Curry taste like water, chicken smells very bad.
Shame we had a take out last night 10/10 and was so disappointed my wife threw her food out she just could not eat it I left mine and even the dog turned his nose up at it (he was surfing the kitchen worktop and he did not stop at the red curry plate ignored it completely) shame as the Indian resto there before was sooooo good miss that. We asked for a red curry with chicken. Chef forgot to put any chicken in it. Luckily we ordered a portion of the golden pouches that was our dinner. In the end I had to pull out chicken, mash and peas so we do not go to bed starving. We wont be going back there.!
Way to spicy for level 4. They have a spice level from 1 to 10. We ordered a 4 and that was extremely spicy. So dissapointed, I believe this should be conveyed either on their website or on the platforms like chow now.
The delivery was horrible. There wasn't enough food for what i paid for. $65.00 for not even $25 worth of food. Terrible experience, not worth your time or money. When I called to resolve the issue, the restaraunt didn't care.
I got Mon fried rice with fish , but barely to NO fish in it & the taste was not as good as it should be. I paid $17 for what? Never again
We were starving from a long day at the beach . We decided to Uber eats and when we got our food we were so disappointed the egg rice we got had eggshells so we couldn’t even eat it. The sweet and sour beef had 2 pieces of beef and it was all vegetables we had to throw the whole thing away. We paid $70 and got like $10 worth of food max so ridiculous . We went to bed starving we were all excited had so much potential but it was underwhelming. Will not be ordering here again. Manager tried to blame it on the Uber driver saying he probably ate the food before delivery it makes zero sense the bag was sealed and not tampered with .
I try my hardest to give a place the benefit of the doubt. However this restaurant really made it tough. I usually also don't give places 1 star I just go about my day and take it as a learning experience. I placed my order via the phone and was informed that one of the items I ordered wasn't available. However when I went to go checkout with the server at the end I informed the server that the total still reflected the missing item on my tab. He said it's ok he'll remove it. But instead they just pushed the transaction through. Followed by them then charging me a second time with the proper amount. I asked about the first transaction and they said it was just a hold so nothing to worry about. Well it wasn't just a hold and they charged me twice and then some for the meal.
I had a very disappointing experience at this Thai restaurant and want to share my honest thoughts. I ordered the coconut rice, which was just plain steamed white rice with a hint of coconut flavor—more like a light spray than a proper coconut infusion. It lacked the richness and aroma you expect from traditional Thai coconut rice. I also ordered the basil fried rice with beef steak. The beef was served separately, and again, the “basil fried rice” turned out to be just steamed white rice. The basil flavor came only from the beef—not from the rice itself. On top of that, the portion was shockingly small, definitely not enough for an adult, and yet the price was over $21. It felt like a kid’s meal with an adult price tag. To try one more item, I ordered the beef curry. Unfortunately, the curry sauce was extremely thin—almost watery—with none of the depth or richness that makes Thai curry so beloved. Another red flag: you can’t see the kitchen or the food being prepared. In most authentic Thai restaurants, the kitchen is at least partially visible, which adds a layer of trust and professionalism. That was completely missing here. Overall, the food was bland, overpriced, and lacking authenticity. It felt like the restaurant puts very little care or respect into their food. I would strongly advise others to skip this place and find a Thai restaurant that takes pride in quality and presentation
No volveré a pedir aquí.
