The Mayor's Place Nipomo Reviews
Homestyle cooking with a smile!! The best ranch I've ever had and if you like it spicy they have that too. The portions are huge!!
OK so it doesn’t look like much from the outside. However, the food… Oh the food. I only wish I had a second stomach to get some more of what is on the menu. Whatever you get, rest assured, it will be great. The service is very friendly and you feel like you’re in there every day which most are, seems like a locals favorite.
Had the 2 eggs with country potatoes and sourdough toast, very good! The atmosphere is awesome and the service was great. They do offer an outdoor patio. Pricing is reasonable. This place is so unique and fun!
Wonderful warm welcoming environment. Lovely patio. Wonderful friendly owners. Delicious food. Their breakfast is very good. Delicious homemade sausage patties. Hash browns cooked to perfection. Tasty biscuits and gravy. Definitely recommend checking this place out! Delicious food!! Must try!
The staff were very nice and friendly. Although there was a wait it was totally worth it! The food was so delicious and I was full we are definitely coming back.😊
Super cute little spot with great pancakes and home fries! Friendly staff and charming atmosphere!

They have fantastic service and they also have gluten-free options. Great place for breakfast
the friendliest nicest people. dog friendly. they go out of their way to make sure your dog has water and a treat. the food is delicious. the portions are perfection. I highly recommend. the price is very reasonable.
We stopped in while in town from Ashland, KY. We googled somewhere to go and mayors place was the first. Dustin was phenomenal! Top notch service and company. Dustin even turned the deep fryer on at 11 pm to serve us the kettle chips in his own seasoning- they were mind blowing. The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted while away from home and relaxing, will come back every time
A small quirky restaurant. The outside is unique; you walk into an old house and there are only a few booths. The breakfast I was served was excellent. I live 4 hours away, but will definitely be going back to eat there. The service was friendly and was served breakfast in a timely fashion. The prices were high; however. large amounts are served and the breakfast was cooked perfectly.
This is a place I always ome to when I'm in town. The first time I went there, I was alone and a nice man named Dave who was sitting in a booth with someone socializing started talking to me. The next couple of times I went, he was there. He doesnt remember my name but he remembers my face. Ive met lots of locals through Dave. Its also a place my Uncle frequently eats. They dont serve alcohol but it reminds me of a diner version of Cheers. The food is good and the coffee is great. You may even find someone to talk to. The outdoor seating is very comfortable.

Down home diner. Food portions are good size. Inside is small, but I personally prefer eating on the patio. Family friendly and they make you feel welcomed. We have eaten there quite a few times and will be back. Sometimes service has been slower than other times, but that depends on how busy they have been.
Most excellent Sunday breakfast. Food was 5 star as well as the staff. Not very large inside, but patio seating can accommodate up to 20 - 25 people. Inside was full of mobilia of distinguished patrons. Meet a veteran who's photo was hanging on the wall when he was in the service some 50 years ago, plus the ex Mayor of Nipon was there as well. Would have given a 5 star, but eating in the patio attached the Nats and Flys since there was an open field near by. Great, great place to have an experience.
We found this on Google maps and stopped in. The outside is a complete hoot but belies the great food inside. I had the chili verde omelet and it was a ‘killer’. My wife had scrambled eggs with chopped bbq’ed tri-tip. Damn! Everyone was extremely friendly and the service was efficient.

How can you mess up breakfast? Well if you don’t cook the pancakes all the way through that’ll do it. I asked for over medium eggs got over easy the other guys lunch sandwich was greasy, accompanied by frozen onion rings, and bang coleslaw. All in all nothing to rave about. Service was OK. Coffee was good.

Very quirky lil spot. The food was typical of a breakfast joint but I will say their bread was fantastic! Some of the most delish sourdough i’ve had in awhile and its locally made. Had a lil souvenir shelf with very random local items which was fun to look at while I waited for my order. Also there was a very cute honor system flower stand to the right of the restaurant.
The over all experience was interesting. Never been here before But sad to say won't go back. 3-4 stars for the listed options ( here ) But here is where the problem was, The menu prices are aprx. 10-15 % different than what was charged. We ordered our food, the food was good. The service was good, I wanted a refill on my soda and the machine was broken- so I should not have been charged for that. BUT.... When the bill came each item was 2+ dollars more than listed. Yes, the menu says prices subject to change But I think in good faith they should tell you this. Saying something like- Just so you know Our menu is not current so be prepared when the bill comes to be charged more. Honest yes but Now that would be a turn off to customers. But being tricked is also a turn off. Too bad too because we would have loved to have had a unique little place to bring out of town guests. Lastly-Rustic is one thing but the place could use a little clean up too- tables, cloths, chairs, salt and pepper shakers all had residual food on them.
This place is unique, the decorum outside is a lot of fun. Inside eating area is very small. Just a few tables available, we could clearly hear the other tables conversations. The food is okay. And a small outside area is available too.

Not great. Breakfast burritos for both of us, and they weren't very good. A lot of processed cheese, not a lot of egg, and the potatoes were hard and undercooked. The chorizo was oddly hard/chewy. The fries were stale/dry-ish and there weren't many of them. Others who got the biscuits and gravy and omelettes seemed to enjoy their meals. If we return definitely not getting a breakfast burrito and will get an omelet and biscuits/gravy instead. The tip thing defaults to 20% when checking out. For 2 breakfast burritos and a side of fries, total was $46.11 including tip. Dori was nice.
Is this REALLY how you put together a chicken sandwich because this is like fast food slap it together status. 2 huge pieces of onion and one tiny tomato... And NOT what I would expect here. Not to mention the cussing at each other while we were on the phone ordering about how someone forgot order buns and ran out of tri tip. You guys need to get it together, this is a disgrace!
