Fusion Noja Reviews
I went to NoJa for the first time and everything was soooo good! Our host Taylor was incredibly welcoming and personable. Our server Brandi was fantastic as well, attentive and friendly. I tried the pan-seared fish cake, spinach salad, and the pan-seared salmon. Everything was absolutely delicious. The drinks were just as good. I had the Elderflower Mist and loved it. It is a bit loud inside, probably because everyone is seated close together, but that didn’t take away from the experience. Definitely a spot I can’t wait to come back to!
My husband and I visited Noja for the first time on June 3rd. The hostess (sorry I didn't catch her name) and ate waiter Zach were awesome. Zach really knew the menu and gave his honest opinion. The food was excellent! We can't wait until we vacation here again.
Great fine dining spot in Mobile! Make reservations early.
What a great dining experience! Noja delivers such exceptional service and the food is quite amazing. Katee, our very knowledgeable server, helped us with our menu selections. I was blown away with every bite!!
Great food and great service! Had steak and wine, both were excellent! The food was cooked to perfection, great portions, and well seasoned all around making it a wonderful experience. We were sat outside on the back patio in a partially enclosed dining area which really added to the charming atmosphere.
What an enjoyable evening. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. It’s an adorable brick building, with an intimate setting. The service what outstanding! And the food…the food was incredible. It’s a set menu of appetizer, salad/soup, main course. I had the fish cakes, spinach salad and filet (which was cooked to perfection). It’s an upscale restaurant perfect for the special occasion. Business casual dress or fancier. Will definitely go back.
First time here, but had multiple people give rave reviews. Very nice experience! 3 course meal. Fatboy forgot to take pics of the appetizer and salad, but all was good. We had the scallops and chicken for the apps. Both very good. The mains were the veal chops and panko halibut. We got the chocolate torte for dessert too with ice cream. Food, service, and atmosphere were all top notch, but bring your checkbook. Also I would def make a reservation. Come check them out!!
Do yourself a fLavor, book a reservation and don't miss this gem! Ambiance is wonderful, original building built in 1840 and there are several nods to keeping it's history including many layers of exposed brick paint in the lady's room. My server, Michah, was incredibly knowledgeable, fast and professional service, and a pleasure to converse with. The food was outstanding, my only complaint is I wish I wasn't traveling so I could've taken my left overs home! Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The hallomi cheese in the fall salad and the white truffle oil drizzle on the Noja potatoes put it over the top! Highly recommend and if I'm ever traveling through that way again I will definitely stop here for dinner.
Duck Breast (Medium Rare) is one of my Favorite Dishes on a menu. Paired with a Balsamic Reduction Sauce of any kind will certainly brighten up any dish. Compliments to the Chef & Cooks for a Wonderful Pleasurable Palate Culinary Treats. Together with the Hanger Steak, a Red Wine Reduction paired with Goat Cheese certainly brought the $$$ to the table. And those Scallops were by far the Softest Most Luxuriously melt in your mouth scallops i've ever had, as I am never a fan of the grits often found in Scallops. The Chef & Cooks, favorably have my 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. And, Thank You to Ms. Katee, for bringing your Warm Personality & Hospitality to our table, we can only hope to have you on another visit to Mobile.
This restaurant will exceed anyone’s expectations! The service, the atmosphere, the FOOD is incredible. There is a quiet, quaint vibe, but is also lively and fun. The servers are experts in any questions you have. We had the scallops and chicken karaage, fall salads, filets and the ginger donut for dessert. Every course of our meal was amazing. It was clear that every flavor and texture on the plate had so much thought behind it. This restaurant is a gem in Mobile so if you’re in the area or live here, make sure you go!
In Mobile for business, was recommended at a meeting. If you want to treat yourself, make it a point to go here. The three course menu thing makes it more expensive than what you will otherwise find in the area but was well worth it. Everything was excellent. Did the scallops (nice buttery), spinach salad (tasty) and the duck (the sauce kills). I cleaned my plate. Place is quite cozy in a historic district kinda way.
We booked a reservation about thirty minutes ahead of the visit. We were going to the theater for a comedy show and it was really close by. Decor was exposed brick, small restaurant but elegant. We were seated immediately. Our waitress (Micha) came and took our drink order. I had the soup of the day which was a spinach curry soup with peanuts. It was delicious. Christina had the scallops that were also amazing. We both had salads and I ordered the line catch of the day which was a Red Fish with squash and eggplant vegetables that was as good if not better than the fish. And the fish was great! Highly recommend. It's a touch pricey but worth the money and a great date night restaurant.
Edited to share updated experience. This is our second time here and there's a good reason why. This place is nothing short of spectacular. Each time we've been it's always firing on all cylinders. From the service to the room atmosphere and the incredible food, this place just gets it right. Everything we've had so far is spectacular and the service is top notch, Always, Always, Always get the chef specials when offered , 9 times out of 10 It's worth it. Some highlights include the duck breast with a strawberry reduction, the pan crusted Mahi, and for the appetizers you've got to try the braised pork belly, the seared scallops, and the chicken Karaage. As Well as the whiskey Peach drink. We will definitely be coming back as often as we can.
I love a flavorful and tender steak. My excitement rises to the level of Buddy the Elf when Gimbel’s manager announces Santa will be arriving. When I find a great steak house. The hostess was accommodating and helpful on the phone. The service…. Impeccable. They offer fresh sweetened and unsweetened iced tea. My drink was never empty, there were no empty plates on my table. Pre bussing the table was just in time. My food came out all at once. Dessert was offered even after the closing time passed. They did not rush me which I find a lot of servers learned that poor quality. The menu is a prix fixe, three course meal. There are several options to choose from. The menu is one page…. And they mastered the culinary art in these dishes. The appetizers were great. The pork belly is fried and tasted similar to a cracklin ( of course!). The shrimp and scallops with Parmesan was great with and without bread. The sauce was on point. The filet melted in your mouth…. best filet around Mobile. The lamb chops are such a great cut! They were also tender. It restored my faith in eating lamb chops. Excellent quality in meat. So for the filet my meal (appetizer, salad, entree) was $75 instead of the regular $65 because I ordered filet. The meat portion for the filet was around 8 ounces. The Brussels sprouts were delicious, and I am not a BS fan. The potatoes paired well with the meal. This will be my go to spot. It’s cheaper than the New Orleans chain steakhouse and superior in quality. Be carful! The circular plate that the shrimp and scallops comes on…… if you put your utensils on it….. you’ll clang and have the whole restaurant looking at you, waiting for your celebratory speech.
Everything about the restaurant was a great experience. Great Presentation. I love that in between the courses we weren’t rushed. The transitions was amazing. Nicole was the sweetest she could be. The food was flavorful and my Manhattan was just like I imagined it to be. I would really recommend this place to others. P.s… Most people don’t think of the restrooms when they visit restaurants. It was awesome and well kept. Really sealed it off
I ate here for the first time in June of 2019 and the food was exquisite and extremely memorable! Tonight I ate there again and it was even better than I remember. This restaurant truly transformed the locally sourced ingredients into magical bites! The service and pace of the meal was perfect! If you are in the Mobile area don't miss the opportunity to dine at this gem of a restaurant!
The food was just incredible! Probably the best meal I’ve had in Mobile. The atmosphere was perfect! The best part was the service. Alison was so wonderful and the timing of the courses from the kitchen was so perfect I had time to enjoy my appetizer, before my salad came, and my salad before my entree. Alison removed my dirty silver and replaced it with clean ones before my entree. This place is one that focuses on the small details but still sees the big picture clearly. I will be recommending this place to all my regular guests at work and anyone that is traveling through. Ten stars should be an option for this restaurant.
Iconic experience. Top tier quality food. Small menu that allow special focus on offerings. Extensive wine list, but if you have a preference, ask, they may have it. Whatever entree you get, make sure you try the NoJa potatoes.
Service was spot on. Food / drinks were perfectly prepared. Three course style meal (app, salad and entree) for $60. My opinion the price should've been $45-$50 or had dessert included. Ambiance was nice, but a bit small, and the restrooms are only big enough for one person. The location is right off the main strip and we had no issues with parking. Highly recommend eating here at least once.
Food was good. Service was better. The food I thought was a little over priced for the amount I received and the flavor. It was still very good so I would recommend this place but just understand that it's 5 out of 10 stars for me. The salad was minimal. The appetizers may be better than the entrees!
