Great, affordable, modest seafood place in the heart of Northport Village! Maybe some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had (and I’ve lived in CA) and my daughter loooved the bakes clams. The sushi and crispy rice were also superb; everything was fresh, tasty and presented beautifully. The service was great for our weekend lunch. We will definitely be back to this hidden seafood gem!
Great experience, service and food. The sushi and crispy rice were fantastic! The manager, Linda, was on top of everything and very helpful. Will certainly go back next time I’m in town.
Cute spot with delicious food. I was lucky to be there on Saturday, day when they serve sushi. Calamari in garlic sauce were delicious. People working here are so relaxed and professional.
My 1st time to Feed and Grain on Main Street in Northport such as the amazing appetizers including the baked clams are an 9.1/10 😎, the chicken wings are an 9.3/10 😃, the fried mozzarella sticks are outstanding - I give it 9.5/10 🤩. The side orders which includes 1/2 french fries are very crunchy - 8.9/10. The F&G burger was great 😊- 8.7/10. The Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Bacon & Tomato was cheesy 😉 and so salty 😝 couldn’t finish the whole sandwich - 10.9/10. Last but not least the seafood bisque was fire 🔥 - 10.4/10. The server is very friendly with a positive attitude who takes their time with their order one by one. The owner is amazing and kind with a great attitude. Thank you John & Maggie. I’d give Feed & Grain 10.1 out of 10 Bada bings and Bada booms. I’d definitely comeback anytime with Jane and Joe. 👌🏼 Happy Mother’s Day Feed & Grain!
Been here before a few times, was just as good as I remembered, love the food here the baked clams oreganata are terrific and the lobster just falls out of the shell absolutely amazing every time. Friendly staff amazing atmosphere. In a great area of Northport right next to the harbor !
Great service. Only complain is they ran out of fresh mozzarella so I ordered chicken gorgonzola instead. Super great waitress nice to sit out side.
I went with my Aunt Last night to break our fast (its Ramadan). I was so happy we picked the right place. I can’t tell you enough about their service and friendliness. They made sure the food came out on time. They go back and forth at your table to ask if you need anything and how things are going… etc. I ordered a salad nuttiness with walnuts, cranberries, greens, goat cheese.. delicious. Onion soup was good and very hot as i like it. Got the main whole lobster and aunt ordered surf and turf. The plate was huge. Can’t go wrong with the price. Everything was delicious and just as we wanted it. Thank u for an amazing night. And thank you to the servers and great customer service. Will definitely be back. I have nothing bad to say about this place.
Came here on Sunday for brunch and the vibe was very relax. Ordered the Salmon Tatar and Watermelon Greek Salad with Shrimp and they were both fresh and very good.
Sat at the bar for the $1 oyster special and we left satisfied! Drinks were great and bar service was super friendly. I loved the oysters and for a $1 a piece, it’s a great deal. Didn’t try anything else on the menu, but it all sounded great.
The food was delicious! We got fried calamari & wings to start and then burgers- all were incredible. Service was great as well. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Outdoor seating on such a lovely day was the cherry on top(:
The service was great, the lobster ,filet and mussels were excellent. My only disappointment was that I expecting the fish sandwich to be fresh fish and it was just a prebreaded and frozen. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. I mentioned my observation to the manager and he was very appreciative and helpful. Overall we had a nice time out on the front patio. The service was very prompt and friendly.
Food was good, Service was a little slow. The Wednesday Special was a great deal. I had the burger. It was very good. My son has the fried clams strips and they were not flavored at all.
First time here, and everything was great. We had the Monday special:lobster and Mussels. It was awesome! Waitress was friendly and the Margaritas were great!
Big sign outside advertised a lobster special. The “Monday” was wiped off so we didn’t see it. We should’ve left as soon as we heard but we decided to go for it. The oysters were small. Nothing special. The deviled eggs were mediocre. Needed salt and seasoning. The lobster was tough and cold. The Nuttiness salad was as expected. We won’t be back.
A solid eatery with a terrific and friendly wait staff. We ordered a variety of dishes from baked clams, pasta with clam sauce, a bar burger, and fish and chips...all were satisfied. The restaurant is located in a beautiful village which is worth a trip to. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to the Feed and Grain. Ordered a burger. Arrived basically raw. The service was incredibly slow. I mean 10-15 minutes to get a Diet Coke. While eating, the table behind us was getting cleaned with bleach. Nothing better than smelling bleach while eating haha. Wouldn’t go back, way better places in the area
Went and sat at the bar. A 45 pound dog was sitting opposite us on a bar stool. I asked the other patrons around us if they were comfortable with it and they weren’t. I let the bartender know and he claimed to not be the owner and did nothing about it. There’s plenty of other places that don’t allow dogs to pant all over your glasses and lemon slices. I won’t be back
The food was very disappointing. Chicken, steak, and fish were all bad — I’ve never had such an experience! The overpriced mahi-mahi tasted like hospital food with no seasoning, the chicken was bland, and the dish was overloaded with cheese that tasted expired. Everything was tasteless. It left us with a bad experience and ruined our afternoon. Definitely not worth it.
My boyfriend and I stopped in on a Sunday night and were rudely told by the hostess there’d be a 40-minute wait despite plenty of open tables. We booked on OpenTable, walked back in five minutes later, and were seated immediately with no questions asked. Very confusing and unprofessional. Service was just okay, food was mediocre at best. My burger lacked flavor. Plenty of better spots in Northport wouldn’t return.
