Great local pub with plenty of taps and a nice menu

Food and service were both very good.

Always a fun time here...but to me it will always be Wayfarers Cove.

Napper Tandy’s is a local pub and grub in Northport that’s loud, busy, a bit hectic but lots of fun. Big screen TVs everywhere playing every sport and loud music overlap your conversation. Shepherds Pie, Fish and Chips and The Guinness Burger were all fresh and delicious. Reasonably priced drinks and cold tap beer make this a new regular haunt for us.

Marie treats u like family. So does the rest of the personal. A great place to stop at after work to see friends and to make new friends.

Nappers has always been and continues to be a fun hangout for all ages! The music is always great as well at the atmosphere. And with the renovation this last year, I believe it’s only gotten better there! I mostly go for the bar aspect, but occasionally attend their Sunday brunch. Highly recommend for anyone just looking to hangout with their friends casually.

My friends and I come every week on Tuesdays for trivia night with Howie (which is so much fun). But what makes it even better is the service. Every week, Cathy is our waitress and she’s hands down one of the best things about the place. She’s able to remember all 7 orders, and have it ready when we walk in, week after week while handling nearly the whole restaurant. Cathy is what makes our Napper Tandy’s experience great. Consistently a warm and welcoming pub. Fantastic staff, great drinks and very generous food portions. Lest ye be tempted to "avoid Irish pubs" you should know Napper Tandy's is a fantastic sports pub with an Irish name. Very clean and up to date interior. Tons of televisions to catch any game you'd like to watch. Simply ask your server and if they can, they'll accommodate your request. If you've not yet been...put it on your list.

Great Staff and the Best wings in town.

Friendly staff, reasonable prices. Usually a good band on the weekends. One of few bars where you can stop in for lunch or dinner and actually have a good meal beyond wings or a burger.

I moved to Northport 2+ years ago and this is my go to neighborhood bar. The food is excellent - my favorites include the burger, the wings and the French onion soup. Plenty of TVs to watch the games. On Sundays, my wife and I have brought our two young kids (3 and 1 year old) and the staff was amazing with them. My three year old loves cheering on our teams with all the locals and bartenders. Great atmosphere and again, the food is exceptional!

They are known primarily as a bar (and I will admit that that is the majority of my patronage), but they are one of the few bars that also has a solid kitchen. There have been times I've come specifically to get lunch or dinner rather than to drink and the food's solid. Staff is amazing and I've never not enjoyed the live music.

We were there for the trivia championship and despite the large turnout the service was good. My girlfriend loved her choc martini cocktail from the special menu. We got wings and a steak quesadilla and enjoyed both. We will be back!

Great Irish pub in Northport. Nice atmosphere and an extensive beer and wine selection I like everything on their menu. Short rib egg rolls are fantastic. Come for the wings if nothing else, a good choice of sauces.

Went on a Sunday for burgers and kids meals but and turns out they just started brunch on sundays, but we made it work. Food took 45 minutes and my son was ravenous, so that sucked. Wish they set the wait expectation so I could run to the gas station next door and buy some doritos. Food was delicious though; just don't go there too hungry.

This is a good place. They have a lot of room if you come with a group. Always good customer service. The bar food is good. Outside patio in the front of the bar. Bands on the weekend trivia and poker during the week.

I hadn't been here in more than 10 years, even though it's in my town where I went to school. It was more of an older crowd. The remodel inside is very nice & matches the Smithtown location rustic woodsy feel. However, Northport location serves food and always has, which is a major bonus. The Monte Cristo is just as delicious as I remember it over 10 years ago👌🏻

Went for 1pm Jet game. Good drink and food specials. Not overly crowd perfect place to watch a 1pm game. Food was average but was priced right especially during game time.

Solid bar with good drink prices and a lot of tv’s to watch from. The grilled chicken wings are phenomenal. The bar is pretty long, good if your going with some friends.

Bartenders are awesome. Super into their jobs and always making good conversation with the customers. They recognize their regulars and treat them right. I don't eat here often (mostly just for drinks), but the kitchen is pretty inconsistent. Sometimes the food's great, other times it's not.

It's a good place, decent space for parking, good selection of beer and liquor. We were there for a 10 year reunion and the music fit perfectly. The super noy issue I really have was when the DJ came in, he played way to loud, measured it on my phone at over 100db. Within 5 minutes everyone in the bar was out on the patio, thankfully it was a nice night.

This is a big bar, great for watching a game. There is a huge selection of beer on tap. The Guinness is good, as well as the wings. The burger was edible at best. Food is hit or miss.Prices are average and service is good. You can't go wrong with some apps and beer here.

Great music. Went specifically to see a particular band and the music was awesome. Courtesy of some rich guy that loves the band also. He rented the band and the front half of the venue for his 60th birthday party. Happy birthday and thanks for the present.

Just a typical local bar/pub, food was good, service was nice but slow possibly because there was only 1 or 2 servers for the whole place. They had a band but for a small place, you couldn't hear yourself think. Way too loud.

Neighborhood pub in the middle of northport was a pleasant surprise. We were at a private party where the service was top shelf and the food was well above average pub fare. The pub is spacious with a long bar and many TVs. The clientele this night was boisterous watching a playoff game but very much respectful of others. This is a good destination for a "burger and a beer".

Very disorganized. I ordered and Jack and Gingerale and they couldn't make it because they were out of Gingerale. Seating outside was completely reserved and so there was nowhere to sit and watch the band. It was ridiculous as, the "reserved" tables remained empty for quite some time. The servers tried hard, but they were obviously under staffed and not at all prepared for the number of people there to see the band.

Since the remodel I would say I'm more likely to go there. It's a locals bar and often there are to many shady people for my liking. But price is right and they have good beer specials

Went to see our friend and his band but the band was set up facing a wall. Very strange but they played their hearts out.

A typical pub but downscale, worn. The food was excellent. Service was quite friendly, although we were seated at our request on the patio, and the waitress seemed to forget us after bringing drinks. I finally went inside and asked the bartender to get us some help. However, afterward all was good. The inside was as extremely noisy. And the ladies room was a dirty mess, as one in our party noticed. We'd always wanted to try Napper Tandys, having lived in the area for years. Glad we went but we won't be back.

I used to get take out at least 2x a month however, the last 3 times I ordered it was really disappointing. Everytime something was wrong. Wrong items, different prices than advertised and more recently food poisoning from the broccoli soup. I felt admonished like a child when I called to order and asked to split the wings between 2 flavors, the hostess said bluntly they dont do that when its busy but they will this time, which I never had been told but said I appreciated it. Brought them home and they were all one flavor, the spicy thai, so my son couldnt eat them. Its unfortunate but I wish them well.

Food good,, Waitress/table service EXCELLENT, Management very inconsiderate, pushing less profitable groups to the outside during 100 degree weather, causing a long standing reservation to be rescheduled for another time, inconveniencing several people who traveled some distance and made plans, NOT COOL AT ALL, VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Worst waitress ever! She was beyond rude to me and my friend. When she came to take the orders and the only thing she said was “SO??” and when she checked our IDs she literally spent 60 seconds for two NY State driving licenses, she tried to scratch it with her nails as if we carry fake IDs as a two adult women on their 30s, even a cop doesnt check an ID that long. When we asked “do you have mojito or margarita?” She just said “no”. Like its world’s easiest cocktails even my grandma can prepare them in her house but we cant have it in a pub and the answer is straight, rude, arrogant no instead giving us options. There was no name of her on the receipt so just to let the manager know, middle aged lady with jeans and eyeglasses with a black tshirt. Besides her, pub and food was totally okay but we both dont think to come back after this treat

Terrible service and management. The restaurant was empty and it took me 45 minutes to get a table. Then, I order the shepard’s pie, which I find a fly in. I will most certainly never be dining here again. When I brought up the bug in my food, the manager told me to leave. I am absolutely disgusted with this business.

Bars like this only care about money. They don't care about the average family and their income. They give addicts more power since they are receiving money from them. Disgraceful business.

If you want to relive the disdain you felt when walking into a bar when you where 15 years old this place is for you... as long as you like hanging out with boomers that is.

It's such a shame, I never do reviews, let alone leave 1 star, but I've never had an experience like this at a bar on Long Island before. It was my first time coming to this Napper Tandys. I walked in to get a sense of the ambiance of the place as I've been looking at different bars in Northport to host a potential after party following my upcoming wedding. Within a minute of my entering, the older lady staff member at the bar comes over to interrogate me about what I was doing at the bar. She said it was strange that I would walk in and not immediately order a drink. Mind you, this was within one minute of entering the pretty empty bar. As a patron of a bar, you are well within your rights to walk in and around a bar and not immediately order a drink. You're allowed to decide if you want to stay and order a drink. She said some YouTubers had come into the bar earlier and were bothering guests, so she was on high-alert. Fine, but seriously, you're interoggating me, a random patron, within a minute of entering the bar. I wonder what it is about my appearance that made her feel that way... Then, a gentleman at a table said he liked my shirt and asked me where I got it. I stopped to tell him, and then she approached us to tell him more or less not to speak to me and to see whether I was bothering him. Again, this is all happening within a few minutes of me walking in, taking a look around the bar to gauge the vibe, the music, and whether I wanted to stick around and order something. I explained to her again that I wasn't some YouTuber here to make trouble and that it was odd that she was stopping me and asking all of these questions within a few minute or so of me walking in. I've never felt so unwelcomed to a bar before. She said "usually people walk into a bar and immediately order a drink," to which I said I have been popping into bars in the Northport area all night -- The Wine Cellar, Gunthers, The Northport Hotel Bar -- and just hanging around getting a feel for the vibe, listening to the music and you are the first bar employee to stop me as if I committed some sort of crime for the simple act of walking into your establishment. Even the gentleman who stopped me to ask about my shirt told her that I wasn't bothering him and that he was the one who stopped me to talk and that I didn't stop him. To the lady's credit after much back and forth -- and input from this guy at the table -- she did apologize, but one could draw many assumptions from this interaction. Needless to say, I will not be hosting any after-party at this bar, and it's such a shame because the music was the best of the bars I visited, and the lighting and ambiance were good. It's that one staff lady who made me feel unwelcomed and like a criminal for simply walking in.

if the vibe you are looking for is ‘i peaked in high school’, then come here. some of the patrons were not of age last night and i don’t wanna be hanging out with 18 year olds.

I've never been more disappointed or embarrassed with a food/bar experience in my life. Invited 3 friends here to watch Thursday night football- we sat down at 730, almost an hour before the game. Ordered a round of beers and our food- the waitress didn't come to take a second round of beer orders until almost 30 mins later- our food came out at 815 ICE COLD. The waitress waited another 15 mins to stop by and ask us how everything was- at that point we were so disgusted by the cold food and horrible service that we got our check and went to another bar to eat hot food and get good service. I will never spend another dollar here and I'm embarrassed that I recommended this place to friends for Thursday night football. The icing on the cake was they tried to upcharge us on all our beers when apparently they were all supposed to be $4 specials. Surreal experience- I felt like I was on an episode of Bar Rescue.

I am not the kind of person to complain but my friends and I came in on December 26th and were denied service because the bartender said that we were underage. She specifically called out my ID and said it is fake. I am newly 21 and I asked her if I could speak to the person who scans ID’s after she claimed he was a cop, she said no and, come to find out there was no cop. I then asked for her to scan it and she said her scanner was not working. She was blatantly rude and there was nothing wrong with my real New York State ID. Ridiculous

Not sure that the deal is. Been coming here for years and they never charged a cover, even if they had bands, unless it was Thanksgiving/New Year's Eve. Now it seems they have a cover at least once a week. And they have a new bouncer that takes his job a little too seriously.

Honestly I wanted to love this place. The prices of the food were great. The vibes seem great. Seems like a great place to get a drink, but definitely would not eat anything more than an appetizer here. My husband got the burger and I got the chicken sandwich. I tried his burger and that was one of the worst burgers I’ve ever tasted in my life. They messed up both of our orders and it over an hour wait to get those 2 things. I understand they were super busy and it seemed like they only had one waitress and a party going on in the back but still an hour wait for an ice cold chicken sandwhich and burger is ridiculous. My daughters birthday dinner at FREINDLYS tasted better then the food served at this place. It was low quality garbage.
