Typical Chinese fast food, no free refills on soda, service was fast and friendly.

I stopped by Chinese Gourmet Express because I wanted a quick snack while waiting for my wife to get off work to have dinner. I was looking for something cheap but also good that was inside the mall. I walked pass this place and saw that they have egg rolls. The price was decent for 2 so I went and got that. The prices here for a dish is pretty reasonable but I'm not sure about the quality of the food. I thought my egg rolls were okay and I thought the sweet & sour sauce would help it out but it did not. I saw a sign when I was paying that you do not get free refills here on your drink so that's disappointing. This isn't an amusement park but a food place in the mall food court.

Eaten here twice so far, good both times. Don’t order the spicy beef, wasn’t spicy at all. All they did was add bell peppers. Also Do not get the vegetable roll as an entree, all you get is one measly roll and it will be soggy sitting in the to go pack. Wish they served sweet and sour chicken. I always order chow mein and orange chicken. It’s decent food that hits the spot.

When I was trying to pay for the food, the cashier would not accept my $5 bill because the corner of the bill was slightly teared from the top left corner and asked me if I had another bill which I find ridiculous because the dollar bill should still be acceptable since it has the required letter and number code on it. I ended up spending that $5 dollar bill elsewhere and it got accepted! This place is really picky when it comes to dollar bills being slightly torn. Take it or leave it. This will probably be the last time I order from here. Please do better next time.

Do not come to this locarion. Bad service, bad attitude and they sell reheated and burnt food. And then don't want to exchange it when you show them what they sold you. And they say "Do whatever you want".

They were offering samples but spicy orange chicken and I asked her if I can try spicy orange chicken and gave a dirty look;She offered orange chicken testing but I waned to compare. She was running low on spices beef and I asked her how long it will take for it to cook and with a rude tone of voice she said I don’t know. Just asked the lady if they were coming out with a fresh spicy orange chicken ignored me served me and immediately grabbed a fresh one. Honestly garbage costumer service. If you dont like your job quit. ESPECIALLY IF YOU WORK WITH FOOD!

I didn't mind the food, but talk about price gouging! They wanted to charge me a dollar for a refill of soda. I already paid close to $3.00 for a regular soda and in small print near the register it says 1 refill only (1.00) You would think as a customer you get 1 refill then have to pay a dollar for each refill afterwards. Can't recommend this place due to management.

I was at the Northridge restaurant yesterday, Jan. 7. 2016 in the food court. I ordered for my granddaughter the combo orange chicken with steamed rice. Just to let you know most of the pieces were empty and mostly breading and sugary sauce. My granddaughter told me "Look...there is no chicken in the pieces." I told the girl who sold it to us...she said that it was not their fault...it is where they purchase it from. Just to let you know so you can tell the company where you get it from. It was pure sugary syrup probably filled with corn syrup and breading with minute bits of chicken. Your food was inferior and a waste of my money. When I complained to the girl she should have returned our money. The is NOT quality authentic Chinese food.

So I usually let these kind of things slide and accept life as it is but for some reason this really irked me. I’ve been coming here for the better part of five years and in five years I’ve never been this disappointed in the staff than I was today. Whenever I buy food from here I usually never take extra sauces, utensils or even napkins because I have those things at my job. Whenever I pay, I play cash and anything under a dollar I usually tend to leave for them. They tend to remember who I am and my usual order. Today I was short $0.02. Not a dollar, not $0.50, $0.02. I asked if I could come back another time. The lady behind the counter said no and I asked why. She said because she couldn’t trust me. For $0.02. Luckily the lady next to me spotted me $0.05 and I was able to make my purchase but this has really left a bad taste in my mouth. The food is usually good and the service up until now has always been great, but today, today was definitely not good. I hope that it was worth the $0.02 to loose a customer.

Staffs name Visca & Anita are very rude very disrespectful for my handicapped patient that’s asking for ice water they refused to give him because he’s is not buying for food Instead they’re telling me to go to different place, but here I am when I come back to buy food Visca was very so nice and asking me if I want extra water, what a rip off ! People here has no compassion if you’re not giving them money so bad for the business to give ice water for handicapped was like a very big issue for them , these store has to be boycotted. I will never buy here over again. Shame on you people working here!
