Near gate 27. Wonderful, friendly staff. Quick service. Bar seating w/4 TVs. Delicious top shelf margarita and chicken tinga tacos. Will be back!!

A good food option for an airport. Ordering through QR was quick and easy, quality of food was good and service was prompt. You will have to go pick up your food. Getting a drink, water or soda was a bit clunky. You had to walk around trying to figure out. Place was clean and plenty of seating from april 2025. Similar experience as before. food was fresh and delicious

Worth walking from Hawaii(an) to Southwest‽ probably 🧐 when I'm ready to spend more than at Subway, this is the spot :) 😁 prices more than fair for decent portions of above average airport food.

Delicious breakfast burritos. Both carnitas and bacon are very good. Make sure to ask for salsa. I will be back to try the lunch menu. Big thanks to Calavera for showing some love for Southwest folks this week.

The first leg of our flight arrived in Oakland at about 10:00pm. We had an overnight layover. This was one of only a few restaurants that opened at 4:30. The associate was patient and kind, the cook was amazing, and we were thankful. To top it off, breakfast was great!

We shared the chorizo breakfast burrito and it was amazing. The burrito was super fresh and good sized (big enough to share) and the salsas were so great (the red is a little hot - but we like that!). The service was warm and super helpful in deciding what to order. We’ll definitely eat here next time through.

If you're ever at the OAK airport, right next to gate 29 is a really good spot to eat. Calavera is a Mexican spot that was amazing good. I ordered the deal of the week. The two tacos were really good and just enough of a mess to eat with your hands. The fresh chips and salsa was on point. I really wasn't expecting it to be that good. The customer service was top notch and welcoming. Alot of people around and laughter at the bar. Seems like the people working there took the time to enjoy all the traveler going in and out. Really recommend going there if you ever have a 5hr layover like I did. I know I'll probably end up going back knowing the food was worth it.

Located between Gates 29 and 30, this place offers good food and thirst quenching drinks. There are lots of beers on tap. There is no table service here. Cafeteria style dining.

The carnitas tacos were so so good! Plenty of meat and we also got a mangoneada. My wife loved it so much! The corn was not so good, but we also really enjoyed the piña colada smoothie.

After a long flight I needed some food. Stopped in and sat up at the bar. I ordered a cheese quesadilla and our bartender, Kimberly, went out of her way to give me the cheaper option on the kids menu. My husband got a carne asada burrito bowl. Both of our meals came out quickly and were surprisingly DELICIOUS. I didn't have high hopes based on the other reviews but we very much enjoyed our meals. Kimberly was so friendly and efficient. I highly recommend coming here when you're at the airport for a layover and sitting up at the bar!

The reviews on here are so polarizing. The smash burger comes with two patties and the cheese is supposed to be fried, that's the style! I really enjoyed the burger and the chips. The salsa was bland (pico de gallo) but they also had alternative hotter salsa which was great! The tacos were good, the carnitas was a bit on the cafeteria side of flavor but the presentation and the amount of food was decent. Service was typical for an airport, not bad but also not like a sit down restaurant. They did forget to add a side of guac we purchased and they gave it to me fairly quick. They do offer soda fountain with Coke Zero on tap which was really good. Lastly, for price - again you're in the Bay Area in an airport. It's going to be pricey. For two of us without alcohol and tip it was $52.

Meal came out w the wrong meat and missing ingredients. I was heading directly for a flight on a layover so didn't have a chance to correct the issue. Food was still good (not great) but I'd like my money back for the entire meal or at least meat (I paid extra for) & didn't get! Check your food before taking it to go!

The food was okay, and I understand everything is more expensive in airports. However $26 for two very small tacos and a soda is ridiculous. To make it worse the tacos were single tortilla that pretty much broke apart when you picked up the taco. BTW that was $9 per taco, $18 for the two of them. Those would be $2 anywhere outside the airport.

Gave a decent of food when it came to their burrito bowl. Everything else is small. Downside with my burrito bowl was that the carnitas was very stale and the mix was very watery.

Just very overpriced. I mean it is an airport and all but damn. $27 for 3 street tacos like 7 chips. Save your money and go to subway or something instead

If you order a burrito bowl, be prepared to be so sad about how little food you’re going to get. As an airline pilot, I’m used to paying excessive prices at airports for food. However, the portions are exceedingly small here, so I felt the need to write a review about it. I am a generally happy person, but when I received my meal from here, I was sad. I forgot to mention the guacamole is in this tiny container and it costs an extra $3. So depressin.

Extremely friendly bartender who brought my orders out fast, gave me limes, and was chatty in the best way. Bad rating is for the food, which has no flavor. So bland. I had guacamole for $14 and two tacos. The salsas were green water and marinara sauce. I know it doesn't look bad in photos, but it truly was Not Yummy.

Sample sizes of guacamole. Sorry the guacamole for $3 is a tablespoon scam. For a $26 quesadilla, I don’t expect a sample size of guacamole. They should increase their price for guacamole so it’s not a tease. Made me very upset. I understand the cost of food and up charges in an airport. I understand them charging $23 for a quesadilla. But not the guacamole tease. Their tiny canister was also half empty, not even filled.

The main guy there, he’s bald and has a beard, is awesome. Great service, very friendly and makes the place feel welcoming. On the other hand, the rude food worker in the back with dyed blond hair is the worst excuse for a service worker I have ever had the misfortune of interacting with. There’s a sign that says “order here” and right under it, behind the counter, were some pre-made burritios. When she walked near me and saw I was about to speak she rudely said “if you wanna order go to the bar” and I quickly just asked “I was just wondering how much these were?” Keep in mind it literally says “order here” right above these burritos so I figured she could at the very least answer a simple question. as soon as I asked, she glared at me, raised her voice and said in an aggressive, annoyed tone “like I said, go to the bar!“ then she proceeded to just walk away. It was the most unnecessarily passive aggressive interaction I have ever had with a service worker in my entire life. You could just tell how completely and utterly miserable she was, and that she enjoyed taking it out on customers who got on her nerves, even in the slightest. She ruined my entire experience at that restaurant but to be honest, I feel more bad for her. she must absolutely hate her miserable life. Get well soon!

It's amazing how one food item can have such a range in ratings. Unfortunately the breakfast burrito i had was pretty awful. No meat at all. Other ingrediants were bland and luke warm at best. I threw 3/4 of the burrito away (roughly $15 in the trash can). Coffee was awful. I have never had a good meal at Oakland airport. My bad. Should have packed a meal. I should know better.
