Gold Palm Oakland Reviews
Tried out this new spot on a Tuesday, early, so we snagged a booth with a couple of friends. Staff were super friendly, helping with choices and going above and beyond to describe the food to us on delivery. The dinner was absolutely delicious. Drink choices worked for me. We felt very well looked after, it was a great experience.
They make great cocktails. The place is very nice

We hosted a private event here for our organization- and had a fabulous experience! Everything was was great, from the pre-event communication, to the food & bev / onsite experience. All of our guests loved Gold Palm.
Great vibe in here! The menu is thoughtful and satisfying (amazing salads, heaping bowl of crispy fries, chicken patties), the staff is super friendly, and I love having a place to meet up with plenty of seating and no reservations.
500 Stars! Wow I love Gold Palm!! It’s fantastic! The staff is super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. The drinks are amazing, easily some of the best I’ve had. The atmosphere is great, but seriously, the staff really stands out!!!They’re so attentive and kind. Highly recommend!
Such fun and delicious cocktails and bites. The space is beautiful and so are the vibes.
We decided to try Gold Palm on opening night before seeing a show, having heard about it and loved the space when it was Palmetto. My partner and I each had two different cocktails, so we were able to cover most of the cocktail menu, and four of the non-meat small plates (mushroom skewers, veggie samosas, cheese toastie, cucumber salad, and masala fries). The cocktails were all 4.3 to 4.7 on my subjective scale, delicious and unpretentious, while thoughtfully sourced and purposefully crafted. The food was also exceptional. The only ding I would give them is that the cost/amount ratio on the mushrooms seemed off. There are delicious and well crafted small plate mushroom dishes at bars throughout the Bay Area that give you much more food for your money. It’s possible there’s a particular reason why this one is different, but alas. The other four dishes we had were very good to divine, particular given their saucy accompaniments (their ranch is easily one of the best in the Bay, very dill forward). If you like great cocktail programs and shareable small plates, it’s a must go.
Great good, tasty cocktails. Love the size of everything, perfect for trying several options at once. The vibe in here is really cool. Lovely addition to the neighbourhood and Oakland.
Beautiful space. Great drinks and good food. Great for a date night.
Tasty Pakistani snacks, great drinks, including inventive n/a options, in the space formerly occupied by Palmetto and Flora. The team from Bar Shiru has brightened up the space and brought along their unique playlist.
Super fun new(ish?) spot in Uptown. Drinks are creative without being fussy, and the food is perfect for sharing (mama raza's chicken patty and masala fries are a must). All in all, it's a cool vibe with great service... that still feels like a neighborhood hang spot. Wanna pop into Moonglow next time.
This place is my favorite addiction. Fav Drink: THE CARTER 3 (yes, like Lil Wayne) Fav Food: $5 Masala fries during happy hour with their house made curry ketchup or ranch. Lamb or Chicken Skewer Rice Bowl and Cucumber Salad (when in season)! Check out the "secret" bar in the back named Moonglow *look for the door with a moon painted on it and ring the doorbell.
Perfect for a drink and a snack before a show at the Fox, or for any night. Thoughtfully crafted original cocktail menu, and delicious bites of American fare with a Pakistani twist, fantastic ambiance, flattering date night lighting, music at the perfect volume, friendly staff and verdant plants. One of my fave spots in Oakland!
We posted up here on a thirsty Thursday and had a great experience. The drinks were outstanding, and service was attentive and friendly. The decor and vibe were super nice. Will be back!
Had the chance to visit the Gold Palm at Happy Hour Friday. I was skeptical with the order at the counter set up, but it worked perfectly. The food was amazing. Great diversity in dishes, perfectly seasoned and yummy options. We sat at the bar and had a few cocktails. The service at the bar was excellent. Our food came out quickly and we were very happy. We visited the attached speakeasy for a nightcap. Mood and drinks were stellar. Bartender and Bouncer were friendly and funny. Check it out!
Love this place! The drinks and food are delicious, the staff is friendly and the space is light-filled and beautiful! It’s the perfect easy spot
Love this new spot in Oakland. Came from SF to try-it out. Great small plate food options for family style eating, really well balanced cocktails and super friendly staff. It’ll be my new meetup spot for any shows at the Fox. There is also a door at the back that leads into a separate space , darker lit speakeasy called moon glow.

Freaking fantastic!! All things paired phenomenally together with the utmost care and concern for the patron! Mani and Hasani and the staff are magnificent, skilled, and offer a comprehensive dinning experience !!!!!! Can’t wait to come back.

Might have been an off night, staff was amazing and nice, food was horrible Chicken skewers were, VERY bland. Toasty “grilled cheese” was burned, no lots of flavor. Chicken samosa tasted like they were fried twice over. Drinks were good. Very dissatisfied and disappointed esp coming from an Eater recommendation.

The only way I can describe this place is - mid. The food is good?? But nothing that will bring you back here again. And drinks are below average, and some of them just taste plain weird. This place has high potential. A chic cocktail bar that serves South Asian small plates with a twist. They need to up their execution to truly become a force.

I visited for a collab with lion dance cafe. The service and staff were bad. We waited an hour to be let in, then once inside we waited another 30 minutes in the bar. But what’s worse is we never got three of our orders. Over the course of an hour we asked multiple staff members and were either brushed aside or ignored.
