Its a Grind Oakland Reviews
I didn’t try the food but the americano I had was good and well priced. It’s in an unassuming strip mall location but it has a cute interior and plenty of parking.
First time going here, found it on Google maps. Actually came in here for the Ham & Cheese Croissant... Then I saw a picture of their Blended Iced Coffee drinks, and had to try! I got the Triple Chocolate. OMG that first sip was AMAZING, loved the perfect combination & the aftertaste kick of coffee I Love. So delicious I almost forgot to take a picture, drank half of it before I remembered😅. I think I have a New Favorite! 🤎🧊🍫☕💯
Love the iced mocha. The price is good and they get you in and out fast. Would recommend them if you on the go in Oakland on seminary.
Great coffee, cappuccino in particular. And great people working there. Highly recommend. I spent some time trying to find where the coffee house exactly…so for those who wonder - see the picture :) entrance is right here.
Excellent customer service! Refreshing addition to the community. I asked the owner/manager to include vegan options and he assured me he would. Next time I came in I was able to enjoy a yummy avocado bagel!😊

Excellent coffee! Tastes great and they are generous in their proportions. Great spot to pick up a coffee to start your day.
I got a Carmel mocha for me and my daughter for mothers day. Yummy so good. I got hers with almond milk and mine with cows milk. We were both very satisfied.
Strong coffee, generous portions offered. Just tell them what you're looking for and they'll replicate the drink.
The breakfast sandwiches are really good and moderately priced. Their blended coffees are delicious as well. Highly recommend this place.
Honestly love this place. Coffee is always good and the baristas are really nice. Easy go-to spot when I don’t feel like overthinking my order.
The avocado toast is so fresh! The staff here is also very kind and welcoming. Come here for a quick breakfast or a quick snack 💐✊🏽🩷

Great location, excellent service. The only thing that I disliked about was that I was ordering and then all of the sudden the cashier starts to talk to me in Spanish because I’m Latina. I guess she didn’t understood my accent first and she wanted to help but I need to practice LOL. Food and beverages are very tasty. A place to stop by when you are visiting Oakland.

Got me an iced matcha latte- pretty good and refreshing jst a bit sugary for my liking. The barista was good, I got my drink at a reasonable time and the price is a lil pricey for a small matcha latte (around 6 bucks). There were a few clean tables and seats as it's a small space (around1-2 in each group), thr noise is alright. They got free wifi, jst ask for the password😁 8/10.
I liked it better when it was just a coffee shop. However the pizza business is booming. It a plus for the complex known as Seminary point. Especially since Walgreens closed. They were the supposed anchor when the complex was proposed. Mismanaged from concept.
The concept is really neat and fun. The setting could be better. Better seating and needed some cleaning while I was there. I ordered a coffee and a slice of pizza. The pizza comes from the pizza factory part of the store but no one mentioned how long it was going to be. And the staff wasn't the friendliest or the most helpful, at least not all of them. My coffee was ready 10 minutes before I even got up to ask about the pizza and the only person behind the counter said that he was making the pizza fresh and would be another 3 minutes. I ordered 1 slice. I noticed another woman in and out asking about her order from before I even ordered my coffee and eventually she just sat down and waited. After about another 5 minutes the guy brought each of us out our 1 slice a piece. It was definitely good but the way they made it sound while I was getting my coffee was a lot quicker and I hadn't planned on finishing my coffee in the store waiting for a slice of pizza with a friend before we went to an appointment together but that's what I did. And it was good. The coffee was a little basic but still not bad if a tad overpriced but that's Oakland for you. I will definitely go there again and try something else probably but when I have more time on my hands to do so.

Point to another coffee show in this area, and I’d like to give them a try. The baristas can be unfriendly, I’ve observed the managers be rude to the baristas. I decided the last time I would stop for coffee was when I ordered a small latte online, and arrived to be asked if I was okay with a medium - they were out of cups. “Okay - that will be an extra dollar….” Where’s the next nearest coffee shop?

I really wanted to LOVE this place but unfortunately my egg and cheese croissant lacked any flavor as did my husband’s breakfast burrito. The iced caramel mocha was enjoyable.
Online -- orders always wrong. Not ready when stated so you end up waiting for your order to be started. In person - orders always wrong. truly 4/5 times Prices just increased and menu isn't always working. When you order, if menu not working, not informed whats on or told options Drinks (coffees, smoothies, blended) are good and tasty.

This was my first time trying this place and won’t be coming back. I placed an online order this morning for a bagel, hash browns, and coffee. The hash browns were nothing like the picture shown. They were tater tots, not hash browns. I paid an extra .50 cents for a jalapeño cheddar bagel and they gave me a plain bagel without refunding the .50 cents. My husband called to add another bagel to our order shortly after we placed the original order. They said they didn’t have any bagels left. This could only make me assume they were low on bagels and purposely gave me the wrong bagel and hoped there would be no complaints. Pretty disappointing experience.

These horrible people messed up my order. I ordered the build your own breakfast burrito that had eggs listed as one of the options, which I did not select. I specifically customize my order to make it vegan. I have three or four bites before I realized there was egg inside. I called the place to politely explain what had gone on and they said that it was my fault because egg is a mandatory ingredient. If that was true, why is it listed? If I selected egg would they give me double egg...? I called twice to try and get this solved. The first time the lady hung up on me, the second time she gave me a bogus reason and I could hear her laughing in the background. I am never ever coming here again. I really wanted to support a local business but this is absolutely ridiculous. One woman who works there did call me back and apologize and said that she would give me a refund, but I would have to physically go there to get the refund for some random reason. She said she would call me when the owners got there to see if she could give me a refund. She tried to give me another burrito, but I said I don't want that shit. I want my money back for food poisoning
