Saint Anna Coffee Shop Oakland Reviews
A great spot for authentic Hong Kong-style food! The flavors really remind me of home — everything tasted fresh and comforting. The menu has a good variety, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size. Service was quick and friendly too. Definitely a go-to place if you’re craving Hong Kong-style dishes without breaking the bank.
Authentic HK style breakfast for $10! what a deal! Friendly service from the aunties that can't beat the ambience Milk tea is on the weaker side though Cash Only!!!
Best curry chicken with fried rice. True Hong Kong cafe style. Food always tastey and flavor never change. Best red bean ice milk drink. Love the waitress. I love the shirmp toast.
Best Hong Kong style cafe in the Bay Area! I have enjoyed their foods for over 30+ years :)

It is a no nonsense HK style Char Chang Tang. Basically with breakfast sets starting at $8.00 with bread and butter, choice of sandwich,or soup macaroni,or soup noodle. Comes with coffee or tea. For the $9.00 breakfast,it comes with orange juice. The spaghetti plates are around $11.00. But the closing time is 6:00pm. Service is good, food taste good. I definitely will go back again. Let's support Oakland Chinatown and support all the business there. Thank you for your support.
My family and I have been coming here since 2005. And the food has been spot on all these years.Waitresses are nice, food is one if a kind. My favorite is the baked steak with spaghetti, along with the onion sauce pork chops over spaghetti. This is a one of a kind hidden gem in Oakland's Chinatown .
Very authentic Hong Kong style restaurant, I love their HK style milk tea! Their baked dishes are also very tasty, worth a 20-minute-wait. Their baked pork chop rice and lunch combo are popular dish here, tasty and not expensive, authentic Hong Kong style. For big eaters, I would recommend their sizzling dishes combo, main dish comes with soup, bread, or toast, drink and rice/spaghetti.
This is my number 1 go to HK style Cafe, the food there just perfect and inexpensive AT ALL. At $15 meal includes your choice of Meat with rice or pasta, dinner bread/roll, drink, soup. Still my favorite restaurant whenever I come to Oak Chinatown.
This place is a good place to get a quick bit. I been to this place for over 20 years and this place never change. The people here is friendly after u got to know them. The food here is great and price is great too. This problem I have here and most of the business in Oakland Chinatown is the parking. Never can find a place to park and the public parking is a little too far for me.
I've enjoyed every dish I've tried. This week, I tried the beef fried rice and it was delicious. Of course, I had to have my favorite drink, iced lemon tea. Their milk tea is also good.
Best lemon tea around. Can’t even find a close match in HK. Tea is full-bodied, lemon zest aroma complements the tea, in a well balanced package. Expect them to be short handed in peak hours.
This place is honestly the OG of Hong Kong style cafes. This old school style cafe is best known for their baked chicken or pork chop spaghettis. You really can't go wrong with anything in this joint. I have been here for the past 15 years and the quality remains. This is a family owned restaurant and the executive chef is the owner. They have a selection of classic chinese dishes with a european/american twist, sich as their spaghetti dishes and sizzling platters, those are a must. Not to mention, they make one of the best milk teas in the area. One of my favorite desserts to get is the ice cream with grass jelly, the best treat for a hot sunny day. Please understand that this is an old school style joint so if you want attention from the waitresses, you have to raise your hand. This us just the way this place is run. But by all means this place is awesome. Prices are good and the food is superb!

I grew up eating here so maybe I am a bit bias. As a kid this was favorite Chinese cafe. We use to come here so often. As an adult, I now come very rarely. Not only did I move out of the area but also because I hate going to Chinatown. It is busy and just a pain. When I do come though, I would go to St. Anna and a few other selected shops. It is so nostalgic to me. Is the food really that good? Not really. Do they have good service? NOPE! But I still like coming here. One thing I can say is that their tomato sauce is very different from other places. It would be personal preference if you like it or not. Prices here has finally gone up. Few years ago it was still $5-6 a plate and still playing the same music they played in the late 90s!!! Talk about stagnant.......
One of the few remaining HK Style Cafe in Oakland and a decent one. Their baked dishes can take a while (the waitress said 20 to 30 minutes) and that's because they really put it in the oven and not in the microwave. We opted for their iron platters and it's one of the best values out there. Tthey come with a drink (coffee or tea), warm dinner roll, vegetable soup and either rice or spaghetti with their main entree. Note that this place is cash only and the staff here are mostly Cantonese speakers. They're open until about 9:00PM . Place is pretty spacious and clean for the most part.
Always consistent. Hong Kong style cafe food that's cheap and leaves you filled up. We always order the baked pork chop with rice or spaghetti and baked minced beef macaroni with cheese. Their iced lemon tea is the bomb!

Ordered baked pork chops rice and white sauce seafood spaghetti. However, the white sauce is quite diluted.

This place? No one wouldn't know what this place is in Oakland. This place is known as good milk tea, its taste may not be as close to as Hong Kong style, but it tastes better than any places that I have tried in the Bay Area. Well... the food and the service are decent. Although the performance of the cook is inconsistent at times, especially over cooked pork chop and it became chewy as beef jerky. It is still a decent to be in Chinatown.
The price is great. Taste could be better. But it is ok. The lemon tea is pretty good. Don't think I will crave for the food from this place ever again. It is just a very average place

The borscht soup is terrible, water down and lacking flavor. The pork chop is thin and dry, the tomato source is tasteless. The only good thing is service is above average.

Visiting North Cal just stopped by for a quick bite thought the foods are good because a lot of people were seated in there. Foods are not good to me and don't even ask for service. Workers there are rude even though I speak their language. They see you but they ignore you. Will not be back. I will whether walk further down to eat at Shooting Stars.
