Una galería muy interesante, me agradó la idea de que en un solo lugar pueden unificar diversas artesanías de diferentes partes de México. Además la calidad de las artesanías era de la mejor se podían apreciar el esfuerzo y detalle que le dieron los artesanos a sus obras

Gran taller de pintura de nahuales. La clase nos la dio Cristina y fue muy amigable y paciente con el proceso. Al final terminamos con dos recuerdos que atesoraremos por siempre

We had a wonderful experience at Mini Taj. Celebrity Chef Ramesh personally came out to greet us and even prepared his specialty dishes, including one off the menu, with exceptional care. The food was delicious with refined, well-balanced spicing, and the chai was excellent. We left with happy, full tummies and a lot of appreciation for the warmth and generosity of the experience. We could also hear him giggling with his staff back in the kitchen, and that touched us too!

Very delicious Indian cuisine. And in southern Mexico! I had tikka masala with paneer nan and basmati rice with a mango lassi. It was very good and the place was cool given it was kind of a warm day. Super delicious. I would definitely go back.

Portions were generous, desserts delightful, and prices very reasonable. The service was friendly, unhurried, and attentive—even though it wasn’t busy, the kitchen gave every dish proper care. It’s clear the chef puts love and dedication into every plate. Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or just curious to try it, Mini Taj offers a memorable, high-quality meal in a comfortable setting. Really a hidden gem in Oaxaca. Amazing indian food! Both my soup and meal were outstanding. Such a nice break from Mexican food (wich, maybe because I am a vegetarian, I find a bit overrated). The owner is also very nice and interesting to talk to.

Great spot for tasty Indian food! The samoas were hot and crunchy with a good amount of filling. I also got the lamb Jalfrezi which I’d never had before but it’s now a new favourite. The service is excellent! They also accept credit cards.

As a passionate foodie, I’ve tried all the Indian restaurants in Oaxaca more than once. This is the best. Delicious food, nice portions, lots of vegan options. The chef and owner is very kind. He will move the restaurant to the Centro Cultural soon, its a beautiful space.

I went to Ramesh’s Mini Taj by chance, because it was in front of my hotel. I came in with no expectations… and was very surprised that the food was excellent! I learnt there that Ramesh is a world-class chef who worked in hotels all around the world like in Mumbai and in CDMX. I had a delicious chai which was the real deal, aloo gobi, sag paneer, and nan bread. All the spices and flavours were great! Service was also perfect! Ramesh even made chicken lollipops with a special sauce for me. Mini Taj is small (only 4-5 tables) so get there fast if you want a seat!! The restaurant clearly has a loyal following.

After reading several reviews we were excited about eating at Mini Taj. We ordered the Butter Chicken and Eggplant main dishes, a Masala Chai, Limonada without sugar, and Raita Salad. The main dishes were brought to the table by the owner. The Eggplant was dish was too spicy hot for my taste. I told the owner the dish was too hot for me. I wasn't angry or rude with him but he became upset and didn't want to listen to anything else that my wife or I had to say. We told him we would trade dishes between us and he said he was not going to charge for my dish. After a couple of minutes he returned to our table with plastic prep containers filled with marinated chicken and lamb which hadn't been cooked yet. He started telling us how many he had made that day even though my complaint had nothing to do with my wife's dish. Neither I nor my wife wanted to argue with him, and she said we were trading dishes and would eat the food. He wouldn't leave us in peace. I asked him to please calm down, and finally had to tell him to either let us eat or we would leave. After we finished eating, I asked him to talk to us, and told him the flavors of the dishes were good but I didn't expect the eggplant to be so spicy hot. I also said I had a suggestion as to how to resolve the issue. He wouldn't listen or allow us to talk, said he was a chef, had experience, etc. Then he became rude and said he wasn't going to charge us. We put money for the cost of the meal on the table, and left. My recommendation is to look for a different place to eat, and avoid an owner who isn't capable of listening to his diners.
