I had a nice Hawaiian style octopus burger with some fries, and a lemonade water. The food was good. My only slight reservation was the food took quite long. But I think they were not expecting it to be so busy during the quiet season, which is understandable. I could see the staff working really hard. Although the food took a while, it was definitely cooked fresh. I would recommend this place as long as you are not in a hurry, Which you shouldn’t be as you’re on holiday! 😊

I like this place a lot. The service is super friendly. I went there two times for lunch. One beef burger snd one champion tostadas. Both were yummy, the burger is huge. One thing was disappointing, I bought a bottle of mezcal there, which is sold in another store on the street for 160 pesos less. But I was then able to return the bottle. Gracias.

Food was good and the place was nice but a bit uncomfortable. Definitely a good spot if you want that outdoor beach vibe without the beach. Tables and seats are made of wood and it was very hot that night so we were sweating the whole time. Mojitos were good though and the shrimp burger was just good but not great.

The people who work here are very kind and work very hard. Which is why I really struggled leaving this review. However, after almost two hours of waiting for the simplest things- French fries,guacamole, Baja fish tacos and Pescado, we were shocked tone served beef Instead of fish and shrimp tacos instead of fish.when we asked about the mixup, they gaslit us and told us it was fish. Instead of sending it back, we tried to eat it. And the food was our worst meal in Oaxaca. The tacos were dripping with grease and the beef was fried to a crisp. I’m really sorry to leave this but people need to know—avoid.

The food was average. We waited for 1.5 hours, with no prior warning of their back-log. There are many better places for fish tacos in Mazunte.

The food was not good for me and it was expensive. I got fish tacos and they where all super extra burned. The staff were kind enough to change it for me, with new another tack, but was really not worth it. There are much better places. And service was pretty slow. I had way better experiences in other places.

I am not one to slander small businesses online but I feel that the rating & reviews on google are not remotely indicative of the experience of this restaurant and are very misleading. The staff are sweet but the service was utter chaos, we waited around 30 minutes to be served our drinks and when they arrived half the order was wrong or missing (so waited another 20 mins for the new drinks to arrive). There is blaring loud electronic music at 6pm that we had to ask several times to have turned down, great for a night out but not whilst you are trying to eat dinner. Then the food… wow… I swore it was impossible to have bad Mexican food in Mexico but this really was straight out of a supermarket packet taco filling, no flavour at all, shop bought tomato sauce with a couple of pieces of suspicious octopus and some sad coriander with cheap tomatillo salsa. And not a cheap meal either, the prices compete with the prices of the beach front restaurants (where the food has been much better). It was not an enjoyable experience from the beginning to the end, and when we went to pay the bill we were told there was a mandatory 5% service charge (despite little to no service). Very sad to have to leave a review like this but it’s not as good as its 4.7 star rating and raving reviews!

Truly an awful experience. We waited 2 hours for our food with no guidance from the waiter as to how long it would be. Multiple other groups of people were also waiting as long. We were also told what ordered was not available after waiting for 1 hour. They also forgot our drinks. When we finally got the food it was subpar at best. Do not understand how this place is rated well at all. I would not recommend coming here.

We were alone , waited half an hour for breakfast for huevos and chilaquiles and two juice… the little terraza is nice just dont go there for the food … the chilaquiles are super plain, the frijoles looked and tasted like diarrea and the natural juices are watered … run away

Updated - I reduced my rating from 4-1. One of the three of us woke up very sick. We believe it was the salad. Great little place off the beaten path. Upstairs open seating. Maybe 25 comfortably. It got really packed and became a little claustrophobic but was still fun. The service was good and matched the food. The chicken tacos and octopus was good. I highly recommend you stop by. We arrived at 7 after 7 it gets crowded!
