Amazing lunch spot. My expectations were not high since this is a small town in the country, but the food was really good. We ate the chicken katsu sandwich and the Caesar salad with chicken, both were great. I loved the atmosphere, as it was very open and they had fun knickknacks to look at.

Had the shrimp bun and the pulled pork bun. Very fresh and tasty. Very friendly staff and lots of interesting stuff to buy. Had to return for coffee and soft serve, again very happy. Went a second time and had one of the salad bowls. Give them a 5 star throughout.

We came here for the band "Rainbow Girls" and it was a great time and was enjoyed by all, but the angle of the grass was steeple and the lawn was bumpy, (but i'm old). We got there early and had dinner. They had excellent vegan options and other plant forward food. Our table ordered the chicken katsu sandwich, the fried cauliflower tacos (order without kimchi sauce for a vegan option), and my dish, the boho bowl. It all was fresh bright. The chips that went with the sandwich were flavored with vinegar and a bit too zingy for our palate. The boho bowl was full of flavor and variety, yummy lentils, brown rice, greens, beets, grilled broccoli, pickled onions, and a wonderful chimmichuri sauce. The store had a very well thought out variety of items for sale, including books and boutique pantry items that are some of the newest items on the market. There is a grab and go area near the front with food. You can eat inside or outside. There is even a clay studio inside. I didn't find out about it, but it looked fun. The surroundings were fabulous. The sun went down right in front of us, behind the trees I would love to come back for an experience that includes more than music, even though my butt hurts, lol!!!

Visiting the general store is always a treat filled with passion and creativity! The atmosphere exudes warmth and charm, making it the perfect spot for both friend gatherings and solo dates. The food, sourced locally, is not only fresh but beautifully presented, making each visit a culinary delight. It's no wonder I keep coming back, Dining here always leaves me with a great feeling. This overdue review is just a small token of appreciation for such a fantastic restaurant and community space.

The Altamont is a dream come true. Women-owned and meticulously ordained. The food, y’all, the food is ambrosia, inspired by the glory of Hawaii and the bounty of the garden, every bite is nirvana. They have a delectable deli and gluten free deliciousness available. I’m wild about their burgers and bowls, and their drink selection is spot-on for tipplers and tea-totalers alike. There is plenty of space for dining. Bring your new favorite novel, your toddler, your bosom pal… In the summer, the beer garden is a happening knoll with live music and community fun. The Altamont is an absolute gift to West County.

Sat back in the terraced outdoor ‘yard’ on a recent sunny Saturday. Order at the counter inside grab a seat inside, out front by parking lot, or in the ‘yard’ out back. Several umbrellas to sit beneath in the yard. Lovely Korean friend chicken tacos. Had some beer and bubbly to round it out. Three nicely filled tortillas. Tasty sauces on the chicken.

Very nice, open areas inside. Local artists tables & well stocked cases of to go food & beverages. On tap beers, everyone but myself had milkshakes! I had: Altamont Egg breakfast sandwich, Meil Coffee & got salad to go! Hard seltzer I picked up at the general store on same side. Including great downtown area it's a must visit!

Special spot in the oldest building in Occidental. Lots of treats you can get on your way through Occidental or to the ocean, or if you live here. The owners are super friendly, and the place is immaculate and charming. The decor is sweet and the space is a lot larger inside that it appears outside. Tons of dining space. We got some good coffee here on the way to the ocean. Nice bathrooms and overall ambiance. Also some fun goodies/gifts you can buy. Easy parking out front.

Casual lunch spot. Order at the counter and find a table. The crispy shrimp sandwich was nicely presented with kettle cooked potato chips. The shrimps were very tasty with hints of Asian flavors. Lots of cole slaw on top.

Found this cozy spot during our stay at Bodega Bay - definitely worth the 20min drive to Occidental We got the chicken Katsu Sando (which came with homemade chips) and Kiawe Pork Bowl Both were fantastic, the sando was big, crunchy chicken and very flavorful slaw The bowl was a burst of flavors, tangy, creamy, the pork was melt in mouth The vibes are extremely warm and cozy + great staff!

We ordered the boho bowl, the veggie banh mi roll, and the rainbow fries. Everything was made with fresh, high-quality ingredients you could really taste. I have to say, the veggie banh mi roll was absolutely incredible. It was so much better than a traditional one – it had big, generous tofu pieces, a delicious pickled slaw, and a spicy, balanced sauce. It was served with some classic salt and vinegar chips. The rainbow fries were also thinly sliced and fried to perfection, maintaining their crispiness. Nothing felt too heavy or overpowering, and it was overall a fantastic food experience.

We had a great lunch at Altamont last week. I had the pork bowl and he had the sausage sando. Both were delicious. The bowl was especially amazing with an array of tastes and textures. The staff is very friendly and the food was prepared in a reasonable amount of time. The whole place has a bright comfortable atmosphere.

My husband and I have been coming here with our little girl for a long time. We LOVE the food, The service and the atmosphere. I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while to express as much. Today I feel compelled to finally say how much I love this place. I was having a rough start. I went in for a cup of coffee and to retrieve a muffin that my husband Did not get in his to go order a couple days before. I felt a little embarrassed, asking for the muffin on good faith. Matthew, the manager, was quick to bag up a fresh muffin for me, listen to my toddler woes and wish me a good day. I was a general manager in a restaurant and I was impressed with his demeanor and kindness. It’s a tough job and he’s doing awesome. Thank you. What a gem this place is!

The barista here makes my favorite latte ever - this guy is next level. Food is solid and lots of options. Love the employees. Great place to meet, sit, or work. Makes Occidental a better town.

A fine place to stop and get some food but the food looked better than it tasted. It wasn’t bad at all, but very average. The presentation of the food was promising but the flavors didn’t deliver. Not much nuance.

This place is a fun stop, cool shop/coffee bar, but 15 minutes for one coffee is kind of absurd. If it was busier, maybe it would be understandable, but there was no line when we got there. The two baristas behind the counter had plenty of time to show each other photos on their phone and talk about their other businesses, but couldn’t find the time to make our coffee. It looked like the lady at the register who took our order had to tell them that we had been waiting, so thank you to her. The drink was good, but the long wait was frustrating.
