The food and owner was absolutely outstanding, my first trip to La Bodega and would recommend others to try it as well…

Went here for 2 birthday celebrations in 2 weeks- and was delighted to do so. The waitstaff were friendly and accommodating both times, ensuring that both our large group and our small party were cared for. The Chile Rellano is renowned, and was a joy to eat both times.

This is definitely a gem of a place, the food was absolutely delicious I highly recommend their spinach enchiladas with sour cream sauce, the waitstaff was patience, attentive, and so pleasant. We were seated in the indoor terrarium room and it was a nice experience outdoors without the bugs, and cool ac. 10/10 highly recommend

This is a wonderful place to enjoy some Tex-Mex food and drinks with friends or family. Wonderful spacious atmosphere thats casual and airy. Great place to eat if you have a large group! Menu has plenty of options and everything is good. Nothing wild or too fancy. Just good old Tex-Mex. You should leave here with a full belly and a smile, especially if you have a group to enjoy it with!

I am always enthusiastic about TexMex! It’s my comfort food and I love supporting local businesses. We started with chips & salsa and cokes. I had the La bodega Special plate and my lunch partner had beef burritos with red sauce on the side. The food tasted great and wasn’t too spicy…in other words just spicy enough for us white people! The ladies that run the restaurant are so nice and treat everyone well. We didn’t have to wait long for our piping hot food, but then again we are old farts and eat lunch/dinner at 3:30 in the afternoon. I’ve had lunch here during the work week, when the restaurant is full, and service was still timely. It’s a comfortable place, casual, and a great place to say Hi to other diners and have some nice conversations.

Wow! Both the ambiance and food are spectacular. Authentic Mexican food for sure. The corn they use is like in Mexico-just amazing and packed full of flavor. The taquitos of beef fajita are packed with flavor and very tasty. The charro beans that come with the meal are out of this world. The flautas remind me of the rolled tacos from California. They were amazing and super flavorful. Service was impeccable. We arrived before some large groups but service didn’t disappoint.

The food has plenty of flavor and the portion size is just right! Seems like 6pm is when a lot more people show up for dinner so I recommend going just a little bit before that. Chicken Enchiladas plate on the left & The Mexican Plate Special is on the right. Chips and salsa are provided as soon as you sit down. Music is playing, but not at a loud volume so you can enjoy a conversation and background music at the same time.

Fast and friendly service. Staff is always super nice and they seat you quickly. Food is always super delicious and the portions are amazing. They are not shy at all and I hope it never changes because you definitely get what you pay for. They even have a enclosed patio are for the summer time, it's nice to sit in there and it's a very family friendly restaurant. One of our favorites in town, never lets us down.

Client wanted to eat at La Bodega, so decided to stop by for dinner. Great atmosphere and good service. The salsa for the chips was a bit weak but the chips were good. I opted for a ground beef and chicken enchiladas dinner plate with regular tomatoe sauce. Portion was perfect but the dish lacked some flavor. It's almost like the meats were not seasoned properly. Ended the meal with tres Leche and that was very good.

It was HOT in there. The food was in TINY portions but it was so-so. Very runny almost soupy beans, tiny amount of rice and not so cheesy enchiladas. Overall its not that big a deal. I would pass if given a choice.

Upstairs wasn’t crowded, but the atmosphere was unpleasant. A loud, drunk guest went unchecked, the mariachi band was far too loud for the space, and the service was poor. Disappointing overall.

I ordered the white sauce sour cream chicken enchiladas they tasted like Rosa’s so they weren’t bad i was expecting more authentic beans were good rice too the atmosphere gave Olive Garden vibes with the music and dim lights definitely Tex med over it tasted good and i was impressed i was expecting it to not taste good but it was okay. My friend ordered the flautas they looked like the ones from the box in the frozen isle again still tasted good. Prices were good & service too

Giving 3 stars because service was excellent! This was by far the best service I have had in all of midland & Odessa. My family wasn’t very impressed with the food though. The rice and beans were kind of bland and I had some random super hard raw/overcooked rice in there too. I got quesadillas and asked for veggies in it(onions and bell peppers only) and I got my quesadillas and the veggies were raw.. not sautéed, which was really weird. Not the best flavor because of that. My daughter didn’t have any complaints on her grilled cheese and fries. My husband thought his food was terrible. He said his food was dry and the flavors were just bad. I got the blue margarita and it was ok. I don’t really have any complaints there except I asked what it was and the kid serving us shrugged his shoulders and said ‘idk’ so I just ordered it anyways. I also had a sweet tea and it wasn’t super sweet, but I don’t have any complaints there. The flavor of the tea was bad though. Like it was old. Overall, we wouldn’t go again.

This is a bit long but worth the read. Normally La Bodega has great food, but tonight was not a good night. I have to give accolades to the waitstaff for calmly helping me with my entrée tonight, although they have an inner communication problem among that very staff. I ordered the small tamale plate, when it arrived at the table, they were half the size of a normal tamale. I commented that I had NEVER seen such small tamales, the waitress said they sometimes come that small and I laughed. But upon closer inspection, they were extremely dry and the ends were protruding with burned meat. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there wasn't one on the premises, then a different young lady came by and told me the owner was on her way. Then a young man came by and said the owner wasn't here, nor coming in...lack of communication among the ranks, LOL! They had asked if I wanted more tamales I kindly declined. I also said it was ALL on the kitchen staff, for not paying attention to presentation. So in the end I ordered a hamburger dry but with all the veggies, and it came with fires. I was so hungry I inhaled it. I'm a loyal customer of this establishment and have always held them to the high standard they live by. Unfortunately tonight the kitchen staff, let me and most importantly the owner down, by serving food that had NO clear and appetizing appeal for the food served. I attribute that to a long day perhaps, maybe even being busy and time slipped away and they just plated and called it a go. Nonetheless I didn't blame the waitstaff, they did their job. I totally blame the kitchen staff for carelessly forgetting that PRESENTATION IS EVERYTHING when plating food. If it isn't appealing, one tends to refer to past experiences in life at other establishments that tells us...NOPE, I'm NOT eating that. I will continue to give them my business, because I love their food. Namaste.

I had a dispute on whether or not I got what I ordered. I've eaten at this restaurant countless times. I always tip well too. If I didn't pay what they said I owed, I would not be able to leave the restaurant. So why am I not believed if I say I didn't recieve what I ordered? Loyalty means nothing to this place. They dont have to know me by name but I am a familiar face with as many charges on my credit card to prove it. I left a tip but I was not genorous. I will not be coming back.

Food had most definitely gone down hill. We had a good server he was very nice. Pina colada drink came in a regular tea cup tasting waterd down and old . Not worth the money.

We ordered , the ceviche , shrimp cocktail and the enchiladas . First thing we did before ordering was ask the server if the shrimp and seafood was fresh , if not we could order something else . She said it was so we decided to order the seafood . NO It was not fresh , it was like chewing gum . The rice and beans from my enchiladas had so much salt , the pictures show what we ate from our good , barely something because it was too bad 🙃😢… I’m giving them two starts because the margaritas are amazing ! , specially the cucumber margarita (pictured). …. I think this is more of a bar than a restaurant

Hostile environment, rude staff, and shady billing practices. Walked in, ordered a soda — nothing else. Waitress was visibly annoyed I wasn’t ordering a full meal. She added chips and salsa to my bill without asking, then charged me $9.41 for a soda and the “free” chips they give every table. No service. No respect. No accountability. I’ve never been charged for chips and salsa at any restaurant in Texas — until now. This place doesn’t just treat low-spend customers poorly — they punish them. I won’t be back, and I’ll make sure others know what kind of business this is.
