Oh my God this taco was so delicious. I forgot to take a photo. The steak was amazing. It tasted fresh. There was no hard nerve pieces. The tomato was 100% fresh not discussing you could tell it wasn’t sitting there for a very long. The spicy salsa tasted very fresh. It tasted like tomato but spicy at the same time. It was delicious. I recommend this place.

Run to this place don’t walk bc it closes early and the tortillas are made fresh . We went here after being disappointed at Joplin’s ,at 130p we were the last tacos to be ordered for the day. Their prices wallet friendly , flavour all the sabor!!! Tacos al pastor amazing

Good food at good price! Just downside is there’s always a long line outside since it’s very tight inside, only one food preparer and place only accepts cash. The only sign that says that is when you are inside about to order. They do have a atm inside.

I love this place. Today I had a Pastor burrito Because I arrived at 1 PM and they had run out of tacos. You’ll have to bring cash although they do have an ATM. Also had a chicken quesadilla today. Yum!

On a day trip to Ojai we followed the recommendation of some friends to get in line and order a bit of Mexican bliss. Totally worth it! The steak burrito was phenomenal, from the soft & fresh flour tortilla to the meat, rice, beans, guac, cheese, and salsa.

We were in Ojai because my son was taking a test at a near by school. We were walking around town and walked by the Tortilla house, they were closed so we went into a near by business. When we came out not only was the Tortilla House open but there was a lone down the block. I inquired from a few people in line what all the fuss was about. I was very mature of factly told that this was the best burrito, not only in town, but possibly the best burrito on the west coast. Now I love a good burrito and I feel I've had many near perfect burritos so I just had to eat here and put it to the test. I waited for my son to be done with his test, as he fancies himself a connoisseur of the bean and cheese burrito. I picked him up and we headed to The Tortilla House immediately. We waited in line, looked at the very simple menu, which is very refreshing, to me that says this is what they specialize in and the have perfected it and have no need for filler items on the menu. Burritos, taco, quesadillas, that's it, you choose your meat and toppings but you're only getting one of these three items. While we waited patiently and with growing anticipation in line, I noticed that there was a woman in the back hand making the tortillas as they were ordered. To say I was excited is an understatement. I ordered the al pastor with beans, rice, and cheese. The ingredients were obviously cooked that day, probably as I passed by earlier while they were closed, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. The beans and rice tasted like my grandma used to make, they were homemade ingredients in a tiny shop and they were wonderful. The tortilla was a work of art, rolled out and cooked with knowledge that only comes from true love of your craft. I cannot express how incredibly impressed I was, how happy this burrito made my palate, how exquisite the flavors blended together. I cannot say it was the best burrito I have ever had, but it sure was close.

Get your food and go. They quickly run out of your favorite meats . They are only open till they sell out. Reminiscent of the soup Nazi.

Immediate yes—build your own so the burrito is just perfect. Tortilla is out of this world! 😏

Best burritos and tacos in Ojai! Voted #1 in the city! I love the al pastor pork meat. So good! Authentic Mexican food by a family-owned business! Usher and Childish Gambino love it too :)

Small family owned taco shop. I appreciate the authenticity and menu simplicity. It's kind of chipotle style where you can point to the ingredients you want. I also like when tortillas taste homemade. The only reason I rated lower on atmosphere is because there is no place to sit. This kind of reminds me of the small deli shops in New York. Nothing wrong with that, but just plan to eat elsewhere once you get your food. Luckily there's a beautiful park nearby. Also as far as food goes in Ojai this was the most bang for your buck. It's not nearly as expensive and will keep you full and energized for a while. I had 3 street tacos with chicken, pica de gallo & cheese. And the next day I had a burrito with the same thing plus beans.

I discovered this from someone in the area, and ended up going back every day for a whole week for lunch. Best burritos and quesadillas of my life, and that's saying something!

Favorite burrito. Fresh and filling. Tortillas are amazing too. And it’s 11 bucks for a good sized burrito. Can’t beat that.

First time trying this place and it was totally worth the hype. Everything was fresh, delicious and surprisingly affordable given the high quality ingredients. They didn't nit-pick if you asked for extra cheese or sour cream and the portions are very generous. You have to try this place!

I’m telling you right now. You’re going to do yourself a major disservice if you don’t get food here. Have cash, lots of cash because believe me. You want to try everything. Only thing I wish they had is cheese dip to dip stuff in. 10/10. No seating go have a picnic it’s not like the weather isn’t beautiful.

Ojai Tortilla House is my favorite place to stop by for a quick bite in Ojai! Can’t wait for summer to come around so I can eat outside in the warm weather at the park around the corner from them! I always get the asada quesadilla—so flavorful and perfectly cheesy—and a bean and rice burrito for my little one. Highly recommend to anyone who loves tasty, fresh food. 🌮🔥

I went here when it was Ruben's, which was also good, but the Tortilla House is amazing! I'm so glad I finally got to try it. The prices are great too. I tried a pastor burrito with everything and was very happy with it. I also bought asada tacos for my parents and burritos for my husband, stepson, and mother-in-law. Everyone was impressed with their food. I loved how fresh the tortillas were. Tips: make sure you have cash, they sell out of taco tortillas early, and they're open everyday but only from 11 am to 2 pm.

We did had to wait , like 15 minutes or so. I got the burritos bowl with black beans crema and avocado with carne al pastor , really yummy . My hubby got 4 street tacos with steak and they where so good and full of meat. And I also order the watermelon juice. So good , there’s no sitting but Ojai has a beautiful park just down the street to eat at. The tortillas are freshly made ,

Tortilla house is undefeated, they have the best burrito in town, even the veggie is delicious. There only open 3 hours, but man is it totally worth it.

Large delicious burrito made to order. Great value. Staff a little gruff but I'm happy with my food and experience. There is a tiny counter you could technically stand and eat, but this is a take out place! Note: this is a CASH Only business
