Brooklyn Place Oley Reviews
TLDR: Yes, worthy of the 5 stars. Today was my first time experiencing Brooklyn Place and I must say that I am very pleased. Went in thinking it was just a Cafe and I wanted to support a local Cafe in my area of Reading, to my surprise it is a full restaurant. The staff is very polite and go above and beyond for their customers. Nice quiet place, comfortable atmosphere and plenty of parking in this shopping center. My order was a large iced coffee, a veggie omelette with home fries, rye toast and a side of sausage. Total cost was $18 and some change. Iced coffee: Best I have ever had. I have previously worked in cafes and Starbucks, also I am a coffee fiend, and try new places often. In my 37 years on this planet, I have never had an iced coffee this good. Just with cream and sugar. Veggie Omelette: Delicious, but a tad bit on the greasy side. Very fair with the ingredients/fillings, without being too dense, still fluffy. Home Fries: Soft, golden brown, seasoned cubes of joy. Very good. Personally I would like them fried just a little longer to give them a light crunch. Rye Toast and Sausage: Bagged Rye sandwich bread, not seeded. Basic, but honestly we don't need some fancy bread or anything like that. A thumbs up for the toast and sausage links. Definitely will be coming back and bringing family. They got themselves a new recurring customer.
My morning go to place. There made to order juice are great.
Great food ,friendly service amazing portions for the price and great vibes here. Great for hangouts with your friends 10/10
I absolutely love this place. The food here is incredible, it came out very quickly, and it tasted so delicious. I scarfed it all down and instantly wanted to review it. Genuine 10/10
A hidden gem. This place has very good food. I got a breakfast platter that consisted of turkey bacon, eggs and home fries. It was deeeeeelicious. The potatoes were cooked and seasoned to perfection. My guest had a very juicy and flavorful burger. I washed my meal down with a watermelon, lemonade which was a little on the tart side, but very good. This place needs to be visited by more people. The fat man, @bigdaveisfat has spoken. “Get your grub on!”
After hearing from my best friend Jessica that her hubby and friends were going to open this place, I was so excited and finally had the opportunity to go. We are Brooklyn native and missed a piece of home. They have breakfast rolls! ❤️ Finally here in Reading. I also ordered French toast with eggs & homefries. Honestly the best homefries I've tried from around here. They're actually seasoned with more than just salt!!! Looking forward to trying their Mexican food. Nothing compares to Brooklyn food, so we are happy to get a bit of it here. Will definitely come back!
Service was ok. We ordered breakfast & lunch items & made sure to specify no meat with the breakfast orders. Unfortunately one of our breakfast orders was made incorrectly & had bacon on top. There was a language barrier with one of the workers & she didn’t understand when we asked which one was the omelet & which was just scrambled eggs (they looked very similar). We told them we’re vegetarian & sent it back, only for them to just take the bacon off of the top of the food. We could have done that ourselves! So we had to ask them to make it all over again. The food was really good! The mozzarella sticks came with a weird tasting sauce though. Not sure what it was. Service wasn’t that great. We had to keep calling the waitress over when we needed something. Our water cups were never refilled & no one checked on us after the bacon mishap.
As a birthday breakfast I thought to pick somewhere new. This place looked good online but as picture shows the amount of food you get is nothing. Spent 75$!! 2 drinks eggs bacon , Nutella frenchtoast ,2 sausage pattys thag are super dry thanks for the birthday breakfast....
I like to give places two chances before I leave a review and both times I went the service was horrible and food is over priced and not that good. The tacos are not good it looked like they cut up steak that you use for steak sandwiches and made it into a taco. Never going back again. The lady in the front had an attitude , it did not feel welcoming.
$12 for an empty cheese steak. Taste wise, you can't mess up a cheese steak. But, there was more bread than steak and cheese. Walk up three stores to the pizza shop. Save yourself $2.00 and get more for your money
Ordered a bunch of food yesterday, fish was over cooked and dried out. Rice was dry, also the burrito is packed with a small oddly chopped salad of onions tomatoes and avocado? But the salad makes the burrito super wet and it basically falls apart as you pick it up. And the chopped cheese didn't have the signature brooklyn sauce instead it just had mayo and ketchup. We called back and staff was super rude and hostile. Likely won't be back.
I ordered the fish, my husband the chop cheese my son the burrito.. the while ordered was ick, my fish over cooked. Dry and tasted horrible, my rice soggy my tortillas uncooked and wet ?? The chop cheese was greasy and cold we waited 20 min for food wasted 60 bucks and the whole order is going to the trash I will never ever go to this place again. Don't look up at the ceiling fan when you are in there.
Any time I ask for scrambled eggs I get a burnt omelet I find it funny how they offer different size cups but the only have one size cup The one in west Reading waaay better
I ordered the Brooklyn egg plater as is with a orange juice. The platter says it's $8.95 but when the lady rang me up they wanted to charge me $21.45. I know taxes are higher but not that much. They charged me $9.00 for a orange juice and that's crazy. I will report this cause the cup is like 8oz. $9.00 for a 8oz cup of juice is robbery. Also the amount of food they give you is ridiculous . Such a small amount for the price. I do not recommend this place at all.
Food is ok. Smoothies are pretty good. Milkshakes are sugary bullshit sans real fruit. Service was poor. We ordered 2 drinks & 2 food items, all to go. When we got to our picnic spot we opened the stapled bag to find we paid $8 for an appetizer we never received. I guess that's how they stay in business: $8 for nothing here, $8 for nothing there...it adds up each week.
