What Customers Say About Rocker
Rocker receives mixed reviews. Many praise the friendly service (servers Davis, Abby, Azure, and Luka are frequently mentioned) and the atmosphere, especially the mountain views. However, slow service, high prices, and inconsistent food quality are recurring issues.

Rocker Olympic Valley Reviews
This was an amazing dining experience, the people who work here are very kind. But the food is even better. I got the rocker burger and regular fries and would highly recommend. Fries are a big thing for me as they may be for you, they have the perfect ratio of crunch and softness. Food came out pretty quick and there is a bar though I sat at a table. Hopefully you’ll have the same experience as I did!
Nice place, but a bit pricey. You pay for the atmosphere. Our server Azure was fantastic.
Great food. Great service. Reasonable pricing. Davis was our waiter and he did a great job serving us, while also letting us eat.
Had a great time at the Rocker. The concert outside was over loud (no fault of the restaurant!), but the wings, steak frite, salmon, and bipimbab were all on point. Azure was friendly and very helpful with diet constraints. Thumbs up for the Mai tai too.
We are at palisades a lot and we love Rocker! The nachos are big enough for 2 grown people, drinks are great and awesome for kids too! Last time we were in our server Lindsey was super attentive and helpful!
The best burger in the area! I had a Rocker burger with a GF bun and side fries. No reaction from either. The server Elizabeth was a total G and gave amazing service! Loved this place!
First time being here, service was amazing! Staff very friendly the nachos that was huge very delicious! Definitely coming back soon ❤️
Great location with a view of mountain. Patio seating is very nice. Quick service and friendly staff. We had wings, Ahi Tuna Tacos, Harvest Bowl, and the Southern Clucker Sandwich - all very good. The Ahi Tuna Tacos are incredible!
I would be happy to leave a customer review for Chelsea. She was an exceptional waitress and provided excellent service. Despite the challenging situation of our large group arriving close to closing time, Chelsea remained kind, patient, and attentive throughout our meal. She ensured that all of our needs were met and made us feel welcome despite the time constraints. Chelsea's professionalism and dedication to her job made our dining experience enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend her as a waitress.
We visited the Rocker yesterday and was super impressed at the food and service. Exceptional infact. Our waiter was in a league of his own for Service. I would have to say the best I can recall in a long time. He was friendly, attentive and didn't miss a beat to check it we needed anything. Lucky Rockers for having this exceptional employee! His name was Dov. Food was delicious and generous portions. Value for money and great quality. Can't recommend high enough. Should be 10 stars. Thanks Dov. Best dining experiencing ever. 😎👌🤗
Super family friendly. Great Happy Hour! Best of all was service. Our server Sarah had great menu advice, promptly brought our orders, and continually checked on us. Great energy!
Wow exceptional food. Brussel sprouts, garlic fries, steak cooked well
Visited Rocker for brunch and was thoroughly impressed! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The brunch menu was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The ambiance of the place, complemented by some great background music, set the perfect mood for a relaxing meal. It's worth noting that they also serve lunch and have a bar, which I'm eager to check out next time. I'm coming back next season!
Came here for dinner on Monday 12/16/23. We have been coming to Rocker for years, and dream of the Rocker Nachos in the off season (these Nachos have become part of our ritual) and were pleasantly surprised by the remodel of the restaurant and new menus! We opted for the Rocker Nachos (it’s what brought us through the door!) and the Korean BBQ Ribs. Everything was delicious, and our service with Dove was excellent, fun, and memorable. We had choice paralysis with all the awesome new dishes, so we will definitely be back to try more (and of course eat more nachos!!) If you haven’t been to Rocker, you MUST try the Nachos! Or don’t, because you will be hooked and come back for more ;)
Abby was an absolutely wonderful server, and the food was great! Pub burger was huge and delicious.
Great food and service! Best salad I ever had with peaches and cornbread crutons. They are a little pricey.

Luka was a wonderful server, we ordered the lovely pretzel bread came with a delightful honey mustard and hot cheddar cheese. As well as a beautiful salad with grilled peaches and corn bread croutons. We also ordered a delicious hot coco. The French fries are absolutely amazing. The outdoor atmosphere is lovely with chairs in tables facing the most beautiful mountains. It was a wonderful evening.

More than once I've gone in there trying to order food and sat at the bar only to be completely ignored. Today the woman bartender didn't greet me nor did she say I'll be right with you. She didn't even look at me. So I left. The customer service is terrible. But the nachos are good. Update: I gave it a couple more chances since I work nearby and I'm happy to say the service has improved. Thank you.
We came in 45 minutes before closing time and the staff was super friendly and welcoming! Food was very good as well. Azure was our server and they did a fantastic job! Would come back.
Good food. Good service. Not particularly mind blowing. Would come back. Has gluten free and dairy free options but very limited if both are an issue.
The best view for patio dining in Squaw! Great family friendly food, local beers on tap, some options for vegan and gluten-free diners. Loved their warm beverages - this was the spiked hot apple cider with rum! A little overpriced but what else can you expect for a restaurant at the base of a ski resort.
Food was solid and service was quick and friendly on a busy morning
Food is good, service is excellent 👌 and atmosphere is very nice & Comfortable.
Had a couple of meals here while in Palisades Village. The food was good and the staff was friendly, just not very fast. The atmosphere inside could be improved to be less cold/industrial. Overall, not a bad choice for lunch. The nachos are huge!
Atmosphere was great and so was the service. Food was just ok. We had harvest bowl, southern clucker burger and pozole ramen bowl.
Amazing service and fantastic drinks Walking in there with the low rating it had at the time of this review we were worried that the service would somehow be poor but we were seated immediately and attended to quickly. The food itself despite the initial price shock gave an awesome large quantity of food. The nachos are expensive because of just how much they give (it's seriously a mountain, have 3 people at least to eat it, if you plan on having that as an appetizer). The Naan Brat that I had was mostly good except for intensely sour moments but otherwise a great experience.
Cool place to grab a drink and some food. Staff is friendly and from different parts of the world. The outdoor seating is nice, good people watching.

Cute restaurant at Olympic Village. They have a happy hour menu Sunday-Friday from 5-8pm with some decent options. The atmosphere is lovely - we sat outside and had enjoyed the beautiful mountain views. They seem understaffed but they’re all doing their best! Luka was our server and he was super nice! If you’re in the area it’s worth swinging by and checking out.
Review by my 5-year-old: Everyday we came here was a lovely day. But one day they gave me food that was not the food I asked for. I felt so disappointed on that day and I didn't like my food. But then other days I came here I liked it. I will certainly be back.

The food is really good. Best to show up with a big group. If you're with a small party of 2 or 3 they won't even sit you at a high top table.
The food and service is about average for breakfast. It took an hour to get our food and was around $20-$28 per person.
Food was good but alittle expensive. Would have given a better service rating but recieved my food but no silverware to eat it with. Took 5 min to finaly get that. Had to flag down another server. They were busy, Octoberfest was happening.
Pretty much what one expect at a ski resort. Food is overpriced and service was lackadaisical. Had to remind a server three times about my drink order and when we asked for additional blue cheese for our wings that she acknowledged the order but never brought it. We went at 4:00 p.m. and only two other tables were occupied so it wasn't busy at all.

Bummer. This was a good spot for a few years. Sadly it has gone down hill. Gave it a few last try’s.
Slow, slow, slow! Our two burgers alone took over an hour to come. Then they said the cookie would take 15 minutes and that took an extra 28 minutes. Including the initial wait, the meal took over 2 hours! They refilled our drinks once during that time. Our waitress seemed nice but also totally overworked (the only reason I left 2 stars instead of 1). I left angry because the lunch took up so much of our vacation time. I felt like a hostage waiting there. The Shirley burger was decent, but the black bean burger was a flop; it was mushy and simultaneously flavorless and spicy somehow. It seemed like your standard Sysco food. The best part was the cookie. Overall, I would never return.

Came to eat lunch on a Tues with a coworker. The village was dead as was rocker. Host sat us promptly our server greeted us quickly. we let the server know we would like separate check's he told us he’s unable to the computer won’t let him. I understand if it were busy and he didn’t have time but there was 1 other table in the restaurant. He was busy talking to other employees at the bar. I’ve lived in the area my whole life and have been a season pass holder since I was a kid and have never been treated so rudely at the mountain I love.
We arrived during happy hour and wanted to give the place a try, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The service was very poor. We kept asking for things, but no one followed through, even after several minutes. At one point, a server offered to bring us plates to share our food, but she never came back or acknowledged the offer again. We ordered the nachos, and they arrived cold, with unmelted cheese on top. While the mix of ingredients had potential and some flavor, the texture and temperature really threw it off. We ended up eating it, but we honestly couldn’t wait to leave. Overall, it was a frustrating and underwhelming experience.
The service, drinks and atmosphere were all very nice. The food was the problem. The Calamari was terrible. My friends were smart and did not eat it. I did and suffered terrible food poisoning. Later I learned another friend had a similar experience a month ago. So I will avoid having food at this restaurant going forward.
When you go here you have a 25% chance to get mild to severe food poisoning and 100% chance to be disappointed to some degree with the food. This has consistently been my experience over the past few times going here with friends due to lack of options. That combined with empirical evidence like some utensils not being properly cleaned and having old food residue, I’m genuinely shocked this place hasn’t been shut down with health code violations.
The service was awful. Our server was so rude and the food took forever. I was extremely disappointed with the experience. The food was mid and cold however my friend enjoyed her peri-peri chicken.
We came here because they had shorter wait time, but ended up waiting for 1+ hour for the food + a cold dish and a raw salmon. Go somewhere else.

Over priced. Small portions. No one is there to wait kn you, and you have to keep calling them. Haven't ever seen such thick chewy pieces of smoked salmon. Seemed almost raw.
Waited an hour with no waiter. The host did offer a bottle of water, but no cups. After sitting for 51 minutes without service, I finally gave up and left. Can’t comment on the food as I never got the chance to try it, but their service was horrible. I witnessed another couple wait as long as us and despite few people sitting inside, it’s wasn’t packed. There were 1-2 couples inside and the patio was full (10-15 tables max), with 4-5 wait staff that I was able to count.
We have been going to The Rocker for over 10 years, and it has always been a family favorite whenever we are in town. The location is perfect when you’re coming straight off the mountain or want to relax in the sunshine while listening to live music. Unfortunately, after our most recent visit, we will not be returning. During this trip, the restaurant was nearly empty, with only three groups seated on the patio. Despite this, our server interacted with us only three times over the course of our 1.5-hour visit. Our food took longer than usual to arrive, and requests we made after placing our order were ignored. We were never asked if we wanted refills or anything else. Eventually, we had to flag down another server for help. I ended up searching for our server myself so we could get our bill. It took two other staff members to locate her. When she finally brought the bill, she walked away looking in the opposite direction and casually mentioned that gratuity had already been added. I left a note on the restaurant copy stating that I would not be paying the tip due to the poor service, but I was still charged the gratuity for what was truly unacceptable service. I have since called multiple times and left two messages, but no one has returned my calls. This lack of response only reinforces our decision not to come back.
This was a huge disappointment. For a restaurant located in a resort like Squaw Valley, we expected much better. The service was extremely slow, the drinks were not good at all, and the food was a disaster. The chicken wings were undercooked, which is a serious issue. The overall experience did not meet expectations in any way. Sadly, we won’t be returning.
