Soda Jerks Oneonta Reviews
My new morning home in Oneonta. How I missed this for 13 years is beyond me but love the atmosphere, the service and the breakfast quality and prices. Soup and sandwich wasn’t bad either. Everything is made from scratch and lots gluten free options too. Oh and you can hang while your oil is changed. This might be heaven.
OMG is all I have to say! I am totally in love with this place, The food was great, prices were great you are given the right portion and don't over pay for food you may not eat.... Service was awesome. I did miss the sign that said parking in the back, but if you see a big twirling sign on a roof in front of a car garage named action lubes, you are there. In fact the nice thing about this spot is you can have a nice inexpensive breakfast or lunch with friends or while you get your car worked on.
Amazingly family friendly! We were so Comfortable dining out with a toddler we were just praying on the food. I’ll tell you the toast was thick and the omelette was thicker! 10/10 restaurant. (It’s much bigger on the inside btw). Park anywhere just don’t block the car bays. The place is second generation family owned businesses, so stop spending your money anywhere else.

This place is a true dinner. We had an amazing breakfast at 2pm. We come back next day and breakfast was the same, delicious, great tasting and good service. This place Close at 3pm. Ask for the Real home made syrup. I definitely recommend this place perfect for families and kids. The place has a pin ball game and they give us the coins for our kids play between the food was getting ready.
I started my morning in Oneonta by googling "best breakfast" and Soda Jerks was a pretty universal recommendation. The food (egg Sandwichs and a short stack of their phenomenal ginger carrot pancakes) was delicious, service was wonderful and the space is charming. The custom sodas are delicious.
Absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE! The atmosphere is amazing with all of the chocolate Shoppe era decor. The food is fantastic and there's a large variety. Heather and Tim consistently switch up the specials with creative options, so you never get stuck in a "food rut." If I could come here every day for breakfast and lunch, I would. Highly recomended.
Always great to visit Heather at Soda Jerks. I have a milk allergy and am now vegan. She always has things on the menu I can eat. Which can be rare in Oneonta. Every time I'm back home I stop by for some food and an oil change.
Fantastic little old fashioned diner. I haven't experienced the "auto repair" part of the joint but the food was tasty, filling and the atmosphere quaint. Great for breakfast.
Great food, super nice service. You will have to look hard to find this place tucked in with an auto repair garage but it will be worth it. Very convenient to Cooperstown All-Star Village. Gluten free options too!
Adorable and the food was good. This time we had breakfast. Looking forward to trying something else when we come back with the kids - they'll love it! There was more seating than I expected from the pictures, and though it's small, it doesn't feel crowded.
I always have breakfast here when I get my car looked at, at Action Lube. It has Old diner decor, always clean and a family business. It closes early so Breakfast or Lunch is a good time to go.
We came to Oneonta for our son's 12u travel baseball team. They are playing at All Star Village. One of the days we stopped here for lunch and found it to be an overall great experience. Heather was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She described the soda and fresh ingredients used in the cafe, and how they're created in house. The decor has tons of fun nostalgic items and it's got a fun vibe. The French fries were some of the best we've ever had, and they were cut and fried in the same day. We will definitely visit again before we leave. I enjoyed the double "loaded" burger. Cheers!

The atmosphere could be better. The decor is wonderful. The jukebox was loaded with music that I love. The owner is fantastic. My issue was that there were two regulars at the bar who couldn't finish a sentence without dropping the "F-bomb". I was glad I didn't have my 5 year old Grandson with me. My wife was with me and was not happy about the language and the off color humor.
We had some coffee while we waited for an inspection. It was a quaint little tiny diner that was retro and had an old jukebox and old wood stove decorated.

I keep wanting to like this place. Out of eggs the other day? And three employees wandering around, cmon. They refused coffee to a guest bc they did not want to make a pot. - Please try a little harder and you will have more guests. Food is questionable at times, but can be above good. These things were tough to watch as a local food service owner and worker. Decor is great and it is clean.
Used to love this place but went recently and unfortunately it has gone way down hill. Dog playing catch and paws on the counter was a big turn off. Food wasn’t as tasty as remember either, sadly not sure will go back again.

We have been there 2 times and will never go again. Service was good the 1st time but really crappy the 2nd time. No menu's, you had to have a smart phone to see the menu. My meal, biscuits and sausage gravy, was just lukewarm to cold. Coffee was lukewarm. I ate the meal anyways but probably should have said something and went to pay the bill and probably stood there for at least 10 minutes foe someone to come and take our money. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

"Dog friendly, lube shoppe with grey meat" absolutely gross. I can eat a subpar meal if the atmosphere is great, I can eat in a dump if the food is great but this place had neither the charm or edibility. Would not recommend.
Soda's were flat, brisket was hard and horrible. Car repair and food don't mix well. Only one high chair. The place looks cute from a distance, but in person it's got some deep cleaning to do.
