Tip: Be prepared to wait in line to order and for a table, but the friendly, attentive staff and large portions enhance the experience.
This is hands down the best fast casual fried seafood in Orlando. I have been eating here for over 25 years and the food is consistently excellent. Always fresh. 10 out of 10.
Delicious fish dishes and sides, large portions. No frills dining room but feels like you're in a family owned location. Big sports fans, lots of Boston paraphernalia! Here since 1988. Will come back again!
As you see from the pics we had a bunch of food. The lobster rolls were fantastic. Overall pretty good.
We have been here 2 times and we love it!! First time was take out, just as good as dining in. Second time was dining in! Everything comes out fresh and hot!! We liked everything! The draft beer was sooooo good and cold!!! My favorite thing is the lobster roll!! (I eat it like lobster salad without the bread) because the lobster is sooooo good adding bread is just not fair!! Also loved the fried scallops!! OMG they were perfectly cooked (just like everything else) but special kudos for the way they cook the scallops. If they are over cooked they become gummy, not here!! They are nice and juicy and omg, delicious!!! Will definitely keep coming back! ❤️
Good and fresh seafood, popular with the locals and we enjoyed it too. Not fancy at all, just good food that you order and pay for at the counter when you enter. Friendly staff and great service. We ordered the butterfly shrimp and fried catfish. Our sides were tossed salad, baked beans, French fries and squash, all of which were good. They serve beer and wine. The key lime pie was very good. We were full after just a few bites of our meal so we took the rest home. I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it but I thought some background music would be nice.
Best seafood anywhere outside New England. The seafood here is identical to what you get back home in New England. Makes me miss home....it's that good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Come hungry, leave happy.
Being from New England, Boston's has been a staple for my family for many, many years. My daughter was born and raised here in Central Florida, yet she has NE blood running through her veins as she and her grandfather have always been big Red Sox Fans. My wife from NJ has been part of this tradition for years. The food, the service and ambiance has always been great making us feel like we are right back in in the NE area. Now, today we introduce my 2 year old grandson. When we arrived there was no line, we were able to walk right up and place our orders without being rushed. The staff never rushed us in the past just the hungry other families behind us in the past. Well, my grandson was quieter than anyone at the table minding his own business until my box of fried clams showed up. He grabbed the basket and grabbed himself a Fried Clam. He ate the Fried Clam and his fish and his fries. The other 5 adults were all happy with their meals. Some of us needed to go boxes while I had ordered Steak Tips with Mushrooms to go for dinner tonight. The staff was as pleasant as always. The ambience today for lunch was great, just shy of a full restaurant, it was great. As we were leaving around 1:15pm there was a few families in line. Everyone walked away full & Happy! Great Family Meal! A True recommendation from our family! Enjoy!
This lobster roll turned my whole week around, it was so good! Great portion sizes, reasonable prices, and super friendly, kind staff. We’ll be back!
Great food and service. When craving seafood, especially clam strips, this is my go to spot
When I walked into the restaurant there were friends there. They said they come here once a month. I think I'll be coming when they come.

The food and atmosphere were amazing, the fish and shrimp are out of this world.
The food was ready fairly quickly and tasted yummy. We also tried their key lime pie and Boston cream cake and both tasted good. They had a good kids menu and kids loved their food.

Great food. Polite staff. Love this place. We’ve been going there for over 15 years!!
Huge portions of New England fish. Service was great. If your looking to haveca good fish meal its a nice change of pace
Update: the food was still amazing and the staff was unbelievably great as always. Food was amazing and the staff was great. Definitely is at the top of the list to visit again.
Enjoyed the welcoming New England feel! Was exactly what I expected as a NE seafood place. Very casual dining experience. Excellent food! The fish taco portion size was great, baked beans sweet but not too sweet and coleslaw. Fried pickles for appetizer and Calamari was cooked just right: cooked, but no rubbery at all! Can’t wait to return!
I've had the haddock broiled with cracker crust twice, the second time I asked for light butter and then it was perfect for me.
The word that comes to mind about Boston's is EPIC! Authentic New England fare, made like locals would expect it to be. After coming back to Central Florida after 18 years, this was one of the restaurants on my bucket list, and fir good reason. My brother and I split a large order of clam strips and I was back in heaven! Everything here is awesome and you can't find a better use of your time. I know it's a bit pricey for some things, but it is absolutely worth every penny!
Large portions. Fresh seafood. Delectable sides. Onion 🧅 rings, coconut 🥥 shrimp 🦐 and Mac and cheese were especially good.
This place has been around since I was a teenager. Great memories, great service they actually go out of their way to serve you. I love the salmon cod fish and I love the shrimp but there something about the chicken, beans and fries that I always get here. Sometimes less is more. Don’t forget the sweet baby ray bbq. This place is top notch! I recommend them!
Great food, great prices! The staff was outstanding! Our favorite place we ate at while in Florida!
I retires to FL from the Boston area 15 years ago. This place is the real deal. Just like home. Love the fried clams
Probably the best kept secret in Central Florida. Award winning fried shrimp and onion rings made from scratch... spectacular.
Great place for Shrimp. Batter is not heavy and overpowering, but light and crispy. But.....I usually can’t finish the shrimp because I love, love, love the onion rings! Freshly made, lightly battered onion rings, the best I have ever had...by far. Lunch is an excellent value! Picture is $8.75 lunch basket. Someone compared it to Panda Express...you have got to be kidding me!
I haven't been to this resturant for many years (probably 20+) but it has not missed a beat. Wonderful food, great service.
I'd like to say I enjoyed this place but........ I cannot. It's a fried food disaster. Nothing was close to good. Pineapple dipping sauce for coconut shrimp has 1/2" Pineapple chuncks. Not sure how that's a dipping sauce. I will not revisit this restaurant unless I want a good bowel movement.
If you love old fashioned fried seafood that is perfectly cooked and plentiful, this is the place for you! After arriving, you pay for your meal before getting seated. Once ready to pay, you then are seated in the nautically themed dining room at one of the wooden booths or tables. Service is fast and hot! We ordered the clam chowder, zucchini sticks and coconut shrimp. The clam chowder was extra thick and creamy with big chunks of potatoes, clams and bacon. The zucchini was lightly breaded, tender with a pleasing crunch and served with a creamy parmesan sauce. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and tender, served with a pineapple bourbon sauce. The bourbon was definitely present and paired nicely with fresh pineapple pieces that complimented shrimp perfectly. We all ordered the combo plater. I have never eaten fried oysters this divinely tender, this succulent in my life! The scallops, easy to overcook, were tender and melted in my mouth with each bite. Service was spot on with servers anticipating our every need. I wish I could give this place 10 stars!!
Quiet old world Boston style Fish house...food is made to order and brought out hot and the seafood is fresh. Attentive staff..willing to guide you through the order process...its not scary, place your order at stand and get seated by staff then sit and your order and drinks are brought to you ...I ordered the Seafood Combo Plater..the Mates size and it was so impressive 👌
First time trying whole bellies and I wasn't disappointed. The shrimp was great too. The seafood is lightly battered so it doesn't take away from the integrity of the food. I will definitely visit this place again. Thank you to my friend for suggesting this place to me and taking it to me.
This was my first time here. Everyone was very friendly and all floor staff came and asked how we were and if we needed anything. I have never experienced that. The food and atmosphere is perfect!! I wouldn't change a thing and the dinner portions are huge! I got fried clam strip, onion rings and coleslaw. So delicious and fresh!!
I'm so grateful to have delicious seafood available in Winter Park!! Boston's Fish House is my favorite seafood restaurant in Orlando and has been since the early 90's when they were across the street. The Catain's platter fried is my favorite meal and feeds me for DAYS!!! SO much deliciousness!! Stopped again today for lunch - still AMAZED by how much delicious food I get to eat!!
I’ve been going here for years and I just love the food and people! My favorite is the fried shrimp and calamari. Everyone is so nice especially Rob!
(it's a seafood place, order SEAFOOD) My wife and I come down from Massachusetts on a regular basis and visit this restaurant with our parents. The seafood is always very good. As good as anyhting on the coast in MA. You will not be disappointed. The stuff that is not fish is okay, but I'm there for the fish.
This is probably the most iconic seafood spot in the Greater Orlando area. The menu is very humble. Food is extremely fresh and has been consistent for decades. Used to be the family spot as a kid even since the older spot down the street, now grown returned for first time in nearly 15 years and the food hasn't missed a beat. Seafood Combo Platter can not be beaten for quality or value. 4 stars for atmosphere. Slightly sour smell in the dining room sat at the table closest to the side exit door. Tables are very worn. I like that the decor remains mostly unchanged.
Everything was excellent. The clam chowder to the broiled and fried seafood was fantastic. The service was also great and in a cool laid back atmosphere.
This is just plain New England seafood at its best!. We went to this owner's restaurant once a week in MA .We moved down here the same year they did. No heavy coating so you can actually taste the fresh fish, whole belly Ipswich clams, steamers, sea scallops, large shrimp. Once you eat there you will be back and wonder why you ever thought that national chain was seafood at its best. They do close for about an hour in the afternoon to completely filter the oil every day .
An awesome neighborhood seafood house! There hasn't been a dish I didn't love! The broccoli slaw is a must have! The house bread crumb topping on the fire is a nice touch! Strongly recommended! Back again for baked catfish, onion rings, and broccoli slaw! Always great! Service great. Staff works real well with one another!
Really enjoyed our dinner here!! Prices weren't bad very reasonable for what you get! Very pleasant group that serves you and seats you! Great place!
The setup was different which had us a little confused at first. You need to get in line to order first and then approach the podium to be seated. We ordered a bowl of Lobster Bisque and the Boston's Seafood Combo Platter (Captain's Platter). The bisque was the perfect combo of salty with a hint of sweetness, and had a decent amount of lobster considering it was a bisque. Everything was fried to perfection on the combo platter. We will definitely be back when we're in the area.
The fried fish was fresh delicious, non greasy and a good portion. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend.
Visited on a cold December evening while waiting for a show next door. Real NE seafood atmosphere, our host was extremely friendly and knowledgeable as we ordered our dinner. I got the Mate's Platter, supposedly the "lunch" size, but this plate was enormous! Scallops, shrimp, fried fish and clam strips, onion rings and coleslaw. It was literally piled about a foot high on my plate, I can't imagine getting a bigger portion than this. Everything is hand-breaded and made with love, easily some of the best seafood I've had in CFL. My favorite was probably the fried shrimp but everything was great. Service was fast during dinner hours and we spent a good while just enjoying the atmosphere. We're already making plans to go back - thanks BFH!
By far one of the best places to eat in NSB! We’ve never had a bad meal there. The selection is there to please any palate. Strongly recommend the clam chowder, haddock sandwich, and the North End Linguine (pictured). Stop in and give it a try if you’ve never tried. You won’t be disappointed.
If you enjoy fried seafood then you have to visit Boston's Fish House! My wife and I split a bowl of clam chowder and also the Boston's Seafood Combo Platter, the Captain's size. All of it was great! My wife loved the chowder and while I thought it was good, I think it could have been a bit more creamy. We both loved the combo platter. The shrimp were fantastic. The fried fish pieces were cooked so perfectly and were incredibly moist. The ppl running the friers obviously have expert level skills. The real star for us both were the whole belly clams! They were absolutely amazing! My wife and I were fighting over them! Ha! This place operates a little differently than most restaurants since you order and pay before you sit down so figure out what you want to eat while waiting in line. Depending upon the time, there will probably be a line outside. They also have a period of time before dinner, I think just before 4, where they filter the oil so there is no fried food served during that time. We are definitely going back again.
I can't believe I have missed out on this place for over 20 years of living down the street! The food is amazing! The portion sizes....and I am a BIG girl....were too much for me! I ordered fried shrimp and onion rings and there was enough for two people, easy! I will become a regular! Can't wait to go back!
This spot is exactly what it tries to be, a true New England fish house. Fresh and excellent shrimp and good sides. Although that personally I am not a fan of Clam Chowder I believe that if you’re into it- you will love this one here. I highly recommend this place also for families to come and have a high quality seafood experience while not being have to dress fancy. The service is also exceptionally good.
We've been coming here many years. Never disappointed. Great seafood. So many sides to choose from. Our favorite entrees are the Chilled Lobster Rolls! 😋
Second time in and this place really feels like a home away from home. The customer service is absolutely top notch and you can smell in the air how clean and well maintained the kitchen is. The food is diabolically delicious and will have you coming up with excuses to go back as often as possible. Another shining gem in the crown that is winter park dining.
I dined here for the first time this afternoon to celebrate my grandmother’s 88th birthday with my 5-year-old son and husband. I was a bit surprised by their steps of service, which seemed a bit unconventional to me. However, there was one staff member, affectionately known as "Sunshine", who really made the experience much more enjoyable with her incredible attitude and service. She truly is a shining example of what outstanding customer service looks like. The food ordering and seating process was a bit different than usual, but it was managed efficiently. The drinks arrived promptly, followed by our starters. The bisque was quite nice, though a tad thick and cooler than expected. The calamari was average, and the clam chowder was decent. My scallops were satisfactory, and though the fried oysters were a bit too battered for my liking, they showed promise. The price was great! The overall service was excellent. To be honest, while the restaurant was good, it wasn’t outstanding, but the staff, especially Sunshine, made the experience memorable. I’m inclined to give it another try because of the wonderful staff. Thank you 🙏
I enjoyed every bit of my visiting the restaurant for the first time. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were really wonderful, friendly and caring. I'm not from the Orlando or winter park FL area, however I shall return. Everyone should go, you won't be disappointed. It's on my #1 list of places to go when I'm in FL ❤️

Felt like your local mom and pop restaurant. We loved the quality and quantity of the food. Would totally skip red lobster and come here instead. The service was awesome, quick and easy. If your feeling like your in the mood for a home style fish fry or some sea food with a local twist try Boston's fish house.
We tried this restaurant based on reviews that it was the best fish n chips in the area. I prefer crisper, more flavorful batter. The fish was cut into small chunks. However, it was hot and fresh. The portions are laughably large. Moving forward I think we only need lunch portions unless you're planning to take home leftovers. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I think we had 4 people tend our table through the meal. It's interesting in that you order, pay, and tip before you're seated and eat. But I'm okay with it because service was great. Good experience for a family meal. So much fried food was on the menu, I'm not sure if want to try anything not fried. You know? My husband did get the broccoli salad - delicious! I had the garden salad. They have Ken's dressing (I appreciate home made).

Great food and service not crazy about the order your food first/pay first/tip first then you get seated. Please change that.
Went here with my friend on a Saturday night. There was a small line when we entered, and noticed that ordering was done on the counter. So I picked up a menu while I waited. A couple minutes later it was our turn and I ordered the lobster roll with fries and potato salad (22 dollars). After ordering, we were seated at our table. Our servers were very quick to bring our drinks. Our food came a couple minutes later. The lobster roll was a bit small, but still a good amount of sweet lobster claw meat tossed in mayonnaise on a delicious grilled roll. There was lettuce in the roll in the roll as well, but I wished they had a bit more veggies like tomato or onion for a bit more value. The potato salad and french fries were a good side, with the fries being more generous with the portions. The server was friendly and attentive. Drinks and refills were given quickly. Our server not only refilled my friend's tea, but also provided one to go as well. The staff were wearing masks, which I very much appreciated their gesture. The atmosphere was a new England nautical setting. The noise was on the quieter side with no music playing in the background either. This restaurant is located at a strip mall, where there is an Aldi's and Dollar Tree. There is also a Jaramiahs frozen ice, so you can get your dessert there instead as I found out that their Boston cream pie was not homemade. But overall I found the restaurant to be a good value for the price paid. Will visit again and try some of their other seafood as well.
We have been to Boston Fish House many times. Consistent high quality food and service. I had the salmon with ritz cracker toppings, green beans and rice. Everything was good. I always get the lobster bisque for an appetizer. Creamy with chunks of lobster. I also like the onion rings which my guest got with the shrimp dinner. The fried shrimp was light and not greasy. It can get crowded. They have a nice outdoor dining area.
Delicious seafood served well by friendly employees. Easy parking out front. You order and pay for food then sit down. Great restaurant!
We had broiled with blackening seasoning on the fish, scallops, and shrimp. The flavor was good and they were cooked perfectly. Great job chef and staff.
The best fried seafood I’ve found in the Orlando metro area. We’ve been here dozens of times and it’s always delicious. The fried shrimp and the scallops are my two favorites. The onion rings are also amazing. It can get busy at peak times with a pretty long line to order, but it’s worth it. I would definitely recommend you give this place a try.
It's been here forever and It hasn't changed one bit since the last time I was here about 15 years ago. They have a unique system of order and pay, before you eat here. Then servers swarm the dining room attentively keeping drinks full and everything moving. I would say I feel it takes a little personality away from the experience though. The person taking the money all day is just gong through the motions on the post up front and it can suck a little of the energy out of the experience before you sit down in my opinion. The order taker needs to be positive and welcoming or not there. People are paying before the XP, so expectations are set higher from the start and the food aint cheap. Looking around the decor is like a dinner and dated, but that's the kind of "northeast charm" the place puts off. Gingham tablecloths and baseball penants. Anyway enough about the atmosphere. The food is quality. You are getting what you pay for, and they aren't light on the portions. I got the combo feast with clam strips, shrimp, scallops. It tasted like they changed all the oil in the fryers before making mine. Fried to perfection gold like straw! The scallops were maybe u-10 or 8 and fresh. Oysters and Clams exploded with flavor and melted away and hardly required chewing. Shrimp also good size like u-12. When the dish comes out it looks like a eagles nest on your table. All the crispy onions piled high, you scratch at them to reveal the treasures inside. That dish and two sweet teas, is making anyone yield. I got the smaller plate too they have a bigger portion. I can confirm the chowda, bisque are also fire here. If you like quality seafood this place has it. This pic is what was left after I did my best to it lol.
Every time I visit this place it has a crowd. If you are planning to dine in, you order at the counter and the servers will seat you after your pay. They do run out of items throughout the day so if you go late, you may have to think of a backup dish you would want. The service is good and so is the food.
New England style restaurant, with nautical decor on walls. Ordered their sampler platter (grilled) and it was very enjoyable. They add their special cracker crumbs on the catfish, which we found very tasty. Good prices. Servers, and host were very friendly and welcoming. They guided us as it was our first time eating there. You pay at the cashier up front, then sit down for table service. Will visit again with the rest of the family.
They serve differently than most other restaurants. First you go to a station where they take your order, then you pay for the food, and then they show you to your table. Our food came quickly and it was all very good. We started our lunch with a cup of New England Clam chowder. Very good. Plenty of fresh clams. My wife had the mahi tacos and I had the battered and fried fresh oysters. Delicious! I had 2 sides...Boston baked beans and onion rings. It was all properly cooked and the portions were quite generous. For dessert I had the Boston cream pie and my wife had the key lime pie. Very good! A delicious lunch, served by very courteous, professional, and friendly servers. I definitely will be back and I gladly recommend this sea food restaurant to you!
I have been coming to Bostons for years. Always a good set of options and the seafood specials are fresh and tasty. Is this the best seafood I have ever had? No, but is the taste, portions and …
Great food but too expensive. Almost $30 for single meal. I had the fish and shrimp with 2 sides and a drink.
The dining place looks like a cute little small family owned place, nothing spectacular but not a dingy dirty looking place either. The service is great. We were greeted at the door and everyone that spoke to us was nice. We were getting our food to go and the host told us our food would be 20 minutes so we walked around for 20 minutes and came back and our food was out right on time. Our only complaint was I got the catfish sandwich for $17 and my sandwich seemed to have more meat than my boyfriend’s $30 seafood combo platter plate. The price of his plate did not match the portions well at all.
Pretty good local New England style restaurant. Lots of parking because it’s at a strip mall. We decided to give it a try when we noticed one day the line going out the door, then saw the good reviews. When you enter, the first thing you notice is that it’s a little beat up looking, but that’s not a big deal. What is odd is that for a sit-down restaurant, you have to order, pay and tip first, then they’ll seat you. We got our table and had a friendly waitress. It took quite a while to get our food, and it wasn’t that busy, but also not a big deal. We noticed that the majority of the food is fried, so you have to be ok with that. We ended up getting the salmon (seared with teriyaki over pineapple and rice), lobster roll, broccoli slaw, New England clam chowder. The salmon was fine, was cooked through appropriately and not overdone. The lobster roll was disappointing, especially for $27. Plenty of lobster for sure, but I prefer it hot (it’s served cold) and the roll completely fell apart immediately. The lobster wasn’t very tender. The broccoli slaw was good. The chowder was excellent, it was hearty and thick, with plenty of clam in there. For a lunch for 3 people, $72 was a bit much for the level of quality we got (price doesn’t matter if the quality is there). Hard for us to recommend this place, but I will say that because they definitely have the best clam chowder in town, we’ll likely return in the future but only for clam chowder and it’ll be to go.

Definitely the worst clam chowder I've ever had and outrageously overpriced at $15 a bowl. Service is fast though.
Since it is Good Friday, I decided to come here because it is not far from the place I volunteer at. 🙂 This is not your typical trendy place at all. This restaurant is frequented by mostly seniors. Here, the early bird will get the worm! 😅 At just 4:15pm, the restaurant was already busy, and the line was wrapped around the building. Food here is good. However, in my opinion, it could be better seasoned. Prices are better than most "seafood" restaurants. So, if you are looking for a seafood restaurant that caters to mostly adults, food is ok, not looking to break the bank, and a family environment, this is your place to go! What was ordered & take out: Captain's Platter with fries, mac & cheese, and it comes with onion rings. Prices $36.99. Fried Cod Fish Basket with cole slaw and onion rings. $14.99.
Food was eh, not really flavorful, but okay. Mac and cheese had noodles that were soft almost mush. I liked the mashed potatoes. The salmon kebab could have been cooked more. The onions had middles that were not cooked and left a sting. Salmon teriyaki was not flavorful, the rice was good. Overall definitely not a place for me,but others seem to enjoy it.
This place would have pretty easily gotten 5 stars from me, but not having AC in a restaurant in Florida is absolutely absurd. The only air circulation in the place is 8 fans, one of which wasn't event turned on. It was cooler outside while the sun was still out, during summer time. Think about that for a moment. I should not have to be sweating while I'm sitting down in a restaurant. Even worse is I found out the people in the kitchen also don't have AC, so I can only imagine how horrible it must be for them back there. That's unacceptable. Service was great, food was great, prices were great. Weird business model of not having servers and having to place the order before getting seated, but that's not too big of a deal. Please get some air conditioning in your restaurant. I would love to return when that happens.
At Boston's Fish House, I had their lunch basket special of Fried Shrimp. It comes with 2 sides, I got onion rings and had to do an upgrade to get a salad. The portion of shrimp is small, I believe it was 4 or 5 shrimp. The taste of the shrimp were very good. If seasoned it was light, but very fresh. The onion rings were great, and I'm a salad person which hit the spot. Staff was nice and service was good. The only thing I didn't like was having to order before being seated. It makes me feel rushed. Overall, I'd give them 3.75 stars.
We were there at 2:30, had outdoor seating, no one else there. Our food was hot and fresh out of the fryer, I order the oyster basket with onion rings, $19.50, hubby got the fried shrimp basket, onion rings and Cole slaw. The 8 oysters were tiny, the biggest was about 1 1/2 inches, I’d never seen such small oysters, my hubby also got 8 shrimp, they were normal size. There was lots of onion rings, which we both love. But for so much money $36 with no drinks, it was definitely not worth it. We have loved this restaurant for years, and made a special 45 minute drive to have it again, but I’m afraid it will be our last.

Great food but do not like ordering everything ahead ..soup,salad appetizer and entire and getting it all at once ...it's expensive with great quality but everything should be served individually a…
Had high expectations but sadly this did not meet it. The food was average. The server was pleasant though ambiance was interesting, loved the New England license plates.
Disappointed. From standing in line outside in the heat to waiting to place our order at the counter inside, it just wasn't all that good. The Lobster Bisque was disappointing with lots of little strands of lobster but the lobster taste was lost in the sherry taste from the bisque. Just disappointing. When the broccoli salad is the highlight of the meal, well, that is just disappointing. The scallops were plentiful on the plate but were a tad bit overdone. The onion rings just didn't cut it either. It's been many years since our last visit and it will be at least that long if we ever return. They must be doing something right as the line was out the door, the place was packed as always with the "greatest generation" but it just isn't our cup of tea. Service on the other hand was the highlight of our visit and that at least wasn't disappointing.
Honestly not a great experience. Bland in general and nothing particularly worth the price. The chowder was obviously microwaved (hot areas in the different parts of the "bowl"), being out of our app and then getting one we were told had to be brought out of the freezer for us, and overly greasy fried foods that still didn't all feel cooked well or were rubbery. They tried, but honestly, not worth the visit and time spent.
This seems like a different restaurant than when I was here before. I ordered the entree of shrimp with butter and seasoning, my mom ordered the haddock, Cajun style, and my sister and brother-in-law ordered entrees of Cajun shrimp and clam strips. When our order came, none of the Cajun orders were seasoned. The waiter was not friendly and questioned what we had ordered, like he didn't believe us. Finally he said he would take them back and have Cajun seasoning added. My mom's haddock was served as a white piece of fish in a white plate. My shrimp had no flavor, and I had to ask for the butter. I asked a waitress later what the shrimp were seasoned with. Someone else came back to the table and said they were seasoned with salt. Really?? Salt?? Our original waiter didn't check on us, and he only came back when we told another waitress we needed drink refills. No coasters or napkins were placed under drinks, and the condensation caused the table to become very wet. The potato salad and broccoli salad were tasty, and the best food ordered were the onion rings. I am disappointed with my experience and won't be back anytime soon. Someone is not paying attention.
We have been going to Boston’s since they were in the little house on Aloma. It has always been very good. This last time it was terrible, Captains Platter: the fish pieces were so small I thought they were tough scallops, clam strips were flavorless and tough just like the shrimp, the sides were bland and pretty unappealing. Will I give it another chance, yes, but the lack of customers made me think this is not an isolated incident.
I was surprised you order and pay before you sit down. I had never been so I read the reviews... someone said the steak sandwich, onion rings and baked beans was good, but they lied. The steak was tough, zero taste on the onion rings, and I think they just opened a can of beans. Won't go back
I had heard good things from this restaurant throught time and finally decided to give it a try. We were in the mood for seafood and looked forward to our meal. Sadly, the food did not live to the expectations. Everything seemed to come pre-made or just put together and served. The lobster bisque was super thick and I could barely taste the lobster. Our meals came and another disappointment 😞 the lobster roll was small and the chilled Lobster salad was flavorless. I could only taste the mayo and it was not very fresh. The mac and cheese seemed that it came out of a box and the only thing that looked good and prepped from scratch were the onion rings. The mahi mahi was pan seared amd that one had a good flavor, portion a bit small compared to other places I have visited for the price. The mashed potatoes and the fettuccine alfredo, seemed that they came out of a box or jar. Pretty bland 😪 The staff is nice and attentive and pretty quick to get food to the tables. The restaurant seems a bit run down and needs to look a bit more clean. Sadly, I won't be back.
We've been coming to Boston's Fish House for over 15 years, but we won't be back anymore. Over the years, prices have risen, portions have shrunk and quality has steadily gone downhill. Today, my b…
Wow I had to order through Grub Hub and was extremely dissappointed at the food.....What are you doing? The order was: Boston's Seafood Combo Platter • Mates • Broiled- Pan Seared with Light Cajun Seasoning • Whole Belly Clams • Broccoli Salad • Potato Salad So I got 2 broccoli salads, Onion Rings, Literally 2 clams and someone's left over fish...Not even a whole or half filet, just 2 little pieces...That look like someone didn't eat. The cat food I just opened looked better, and charging 52.00 for this... Wow sorry you have gone way down. Also Ranch is not tarter sauce so thanks for the ranch for the 2 clams
I dont see why anyone would give a good review. The place is outdated and dirty. It was also hot. All the fried food tasted the same. Best part was the onion rings. Never going back, waste of $70. I felt gross just sitting in the restaurant. We watched a customer kill a bug on the wall.
First time here and last time here. I've been to Boston and the seafood is much better. I ordered the seafood platter. I wanted some fried and some broiled. They wouldn't accommodate my request. What I got was a big pile of fried shrimp, clam strip, fish, scallops and onion rings. It all tasted the same. Batter is very bland. My friend had teriyaki salmon and her food was bland too. No cocktails or bar..only beer and wine. Disappointing after working all week and wanting good food, drinks, and atmosphere. You walk in and order in a line then sit and eat. You feel rushed to order. Decor isn't appealing nor is the weird bathroom.Service was attentive, everyone was nice but no one cared that we weren't happy with the food. Prices were fair. Red Lobster is better, even Captain D's. They do a lot of business so won't care about this review. It's just a very overrated place. I could have eaten much better and had a cocktail for $30 plus tip. I don't understand why people like this place. Terrible food.
Worst food I ever encountered at this restaurant. We arrived around 3 and they were not busy at all. We placed our order and we both got soup that we askto come first. They quickly brought out the soup. They were awful, more like dip than soup. You could literally stand the spoon up. The lobster bisque was equally as bad. The lobster pieces tasted old and no flavor at all. After about 30 minutes, I called over the guy waking around and ask him about our food. He went to check and about 5 minutes later it came out. The coconut shrimp were terrible. They were burnt, had no coconut flavor, had to pull off the breading just to eat the overcooked shrimp. My husband had the salmon kabobs, and it tasted so fishy and basically burnt the marinade. The onion rings and fries tasted the same, just old oil. Overall, a huge waste of 63.00, and we only drank water, which also had a strong chlorine taste. No server ever checked until I had to call someone over to get a box, we brought the food home and threw it right in the trash. My husband has a thing about not offending the chef to see all the leftovers. I was so incredibly disappointed.
