The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The ambiance was charming, with great outdoor seating and attentive service. Even the bathrooms were spotless and well-kept. A perfect spot for brunch!
We were a large party with big dietary restrictions, but we were seated almost immediately and had our food given to us quick. The drinks were delicious and the food was perfect for the vegans. If anyone in your life has Celiac's Disease, this is the perfect place for them, as the entire menu is basically made for them in mind. The food is a bit on the pricier side, but it's worth it if your body is really picky over what it can handle. Shout out to our amazing server Corey for making our friend's birthday one to remember.
Came back to Old Towne Orange with friends for another round of eating, drinking, and wandering and of course, we had to stop by Zinc Café & Bar, a spot I stumbled upon last year and instantly fell in love with. This place sits right inside the Plaza Historic District, an area that used to be the heart of Orange County’s early citrus industry. The building itself was built in 1922 and originally housed the Sunkist Orange County Fruit Exchange, yes, actual vintage orange history! 🍊 Zinc moved into this gorgeous building around 2023 as I remembered, and considering their first-ever location opened in Laguna Beach back in 1988, we came in with slightly higher expectations… and the vibes definitely delivered. They’ve got a cozy patio where sunlight falls in just right, surrounded by a bit of greenery, perfect for slow brunch moments. Inside, they kept the original high ceilings and huge windows, and there’s even a small bar area you can reserve for private events. Overall, it’s giving that chic, modern American brunch energy without being too fancy. Totally the type of place you go to for coffee, tea, and long conversations. We went all in on brunch and ordered: • Middle Eastern Breakfast • Asparagus & Mushroom Omelet (with potatoes) • Avocado Toast • Baja Fish Tacos • Shrimp Tacos • Cappuccino • Mocha • Matcha Latte • Passion Fruit Iced Tea • Latte with lavender syrup Food was solid, portions were big—we were stuffed. Service was friendly and chill. They checked on us just enough without hovering, which I really appreciated. After brunch, we walked around Old Towne to admire all the Halloween decorations, people here go all out!😆 📍 Zinc Café & Bar 195 S Glassell St, Orange, CA 92866
I often hit up Old Towne Orange, but I had no clue about this spot — total hidden gem! I can see they use the space super efficiently. Food was great, service is the best! 👏 Definitely coming back!
Zinc in Orange has a really nice ambiance, perfect for a casual yet stylish meal. The pizza, burger, and sandwich were all delicious and definitely worth recommending. The only miss for me was the Thai salad, which was just okay compared to the other dishes. Overall, a great spot with solid food and a relaxing atmosphere.
Such a cool little, quaint restaurant. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Has a unique style to it from the inside as it gives cafe, restaurant, and snack bar vibes. The outdoor seating seemed pretty chill and relaxing. Liked that it has tall gates to provide privacy. The food was tasty and well plated. Nice place for a date or a social gathering. Definitely recommend the cheesecake! So thick and creamy. The service was great. Very attentive, but not imposing. The bathrooms were a little messy.
Yesenia was SO nice and welcoming and made my experience wonderful. Service was fast and efficient. The food was amazing! Will definitely be coming back soon what an awesome restaurant and awesome staff
Every dish I’ve gotten here so far has been delicious! The little bar they have is a sleeper hit - go in the main entrance and check it out just to the left. Great ambiance, amazing bar tender and full menu available. The charcuterie board was AWESOME! Don’t expect anything previously frozen or anything less than fresh.
This was our second time on this fantasic restaurant. Perfect location on this corner restaurant at the heart of Old Town Orange near the Rotonda Circle. We normally also go to the one in Laguna Beach. Shot out to Yesenia our server who gave us excellent service. She even came n with the cake and candle for my Birthday which made it most memorable

Javier was the best, he made sure we had everything we needed and provided an amazing dining experience. I highly recommend visiting this Zinc location. Th food was amazing!
Great space, always wanted to convert this older warehouse into a residence and they've done a good job at keeping he charm of the landmark and modernizing it for a cafe. We checked it out during dinner the first week after opening and they were u and running well. service was friendly. Unfortunately the booths are on the small size, they are really not big enough for 4 people. I've since swing by more than a few times to get some items for lunch. Still need to try and pickup some pastries, they look yummy on their site.
Update: We have eaten here frequently since Zinc made the change to include non-vegeterian dishes. Almost everything we have tried has been excellent! The burgers are on point, the beef taco & grain bowls are excellent and filling. We love how fresh the ingredients are and always enjoy our meals here. Came to this newly opened establishment for dinner for 2. Reservation was easy to make on Google. Their service was excellent. We hadn't done our research ahead of time & did not realize this was a lacto-ovo-vegeterian restaurant until we sat down. We both got a zero proof drink, a salad & an entree, and the bill was around $80. I recommend the potato arugula pizza. I personally love raclette, which was the cheese used on this pizza. The red chili flakes cut through the heaviness of this stinky cheese & and balanced out the flavors. My Man did NOT enjoy the spinach lasagna as it pretty much fell apart when he tried to cut it. Overall the service was friendly & the bar area has a cozy vibe. Would definitely visit again. 🧡
The waiter was professional, friendly, and gave great recommendations. The food in general was good, and the coffee was excellent. I sat inside, which was nice and not too noisy as there were only a few people. The only downside was that parking can be a bit of an issue. Overall, a good experience.
Great addition to the Orange circle restaurants. Historic location, well remodeled and great esthetics. The ambiance was very nice, from cleanliness to friendless! The choice on menu were just right, well balanced and a very diverse menu. I had poached eggs on toast with avocados and heirloom tomatoes, although the portion was small but it was well made, delicious and hot! The French toast was recommended and it wasn't disappointing, it was different and delicious! I will not ruin the surprise! The coffee was delicious both the Americana & the house blend. The natural fresh orange juice was oh so refreshing. The juice bar is a very cozy. The Zinc has inside and outside sitting, staff were polite and friendly. Highly recommended, a must see at the #orangecircle

I’ve noticed better service at this location than the Newport location. The quality and freshness is always there I would recommend for brunch/lunch
Plenty of parking on nearby side streets and city lots, seated timely, service and ALL of the staff members did a really great job and were very attentive. The shrimp tacos were delicious, the bacon pizza was good, but I'd try something different next time. We opted to sit outside, it was a beautiful night and weather and they do have heat lamps if needed. Our 1st time there, and we'd go back. (FYI, size of pizza is sharable)

We are here to use the Amex Gold Resy dining credit. Unfortunately the experience was not great. The coffee and pancake are good, but do yourself a favor and please don’t order the chilaquiles. The chips were soggy and sad. Great location and beautiful historic building though!

Was so excited to check out the Sunkist building and was a fan of Zinc's location in the Arts District. Unfortunately, most of our food and drinks were disappointing. The burrito was low on flavor. The scone wasn't warmed up. The mocha was bitter. The only winner was the Mac and Cheese. It was delicious and so cheesy. Felt like we got more style than substance :( Staff and ambiance were fantastic though. Hope they fix up the menu
Location has a clean chill vibe. We got sat right away which was nice for being a party of 7 on a sunday. I found it weird that they ran out of breakfast potatoes. I ordered chilaquiles they were different but tasty. The egg on the chilaquiles was supposed to be poached thats what the menu said they came out scrambled. I asked them to change them to sunny and they say said they couldn't make sunny eggs. Idk if they ran outta egg or what was going on with that but ok. It really would've been nice if the server would've communicated they were outta breakfast items. Also I dont think they offer coffee refills. I dont think i would consider coming back with so many restaurants around they need to step up their game. Oh also I thought it was crazy that the server gave no options for my burrito choice she just added whatever meat she felt like hahahaha okayyy
Really great location and atmosphere. There is a little bar in front with the restaurant further back. Something really stunk in the bar. Like sewage stink. Menu was great, but the food was actually quite ordinary. Service was slow despite the small size.
It was just okay, we've made reservations for 10 people. It was my sister-in-law's birthday. We asked for indoors, they sat us outdoors. My eggs were cold when I got my plate. I had to asked for jam for my sourdough toast, that took longer than expected, my iced white chocolate mocha tasted very watered down, other than my eggs being cold. My dish was very good, My sister-in-law needed a spoon for her oatmeal, which they took forever to bring, just seemed very unorganized, and it seemed like they forgot about us, because of where we were seated, on the side of the building. Our server went home after we ordered our food, Waiting for our order to be brought and then it seemed like we were forgotten about
