Yoshiharu Ramen in Orange receives high praise for its delicious ramen, fast service, cleanliness, and excellent customer service. Customers highlight the pleasant experience and express satisfaction with both dine-in and takeout options.
Tip: The restaurant is clean, the service is fast, and the staff is friendly. Consider it as an alternative to Vietnamese Pho.
Easy parking, fast service. Spicy Miso (Level1) and Tonkotsu Black ramen are very good. The St. Louis Pork Rib Spicy ramen is too spicy that you couldn't really taste the broth.
Yoshiharu Ramen in Anaheim totally lives up to its rep as a top spot for authentic Hokkaido-style ramen! I ordered the Black Tonkatsu Ramen, and wow, it was a flavor bomb—rich, garlicky broth with that perfect umami kick, paired with tender pork and perfectly cooked noodles. The vibe here feels like a nod to Japan’s ramen history, from the Meiji Period roots to Tokyo’s iconic Rairaiken. You can tell they’re serious about their craft, just like their #1 OC Register rating suggests. If you’re in Anaheim and craving legit ramen, this place is a must-visit!
Amazing food Soups are 🥇 Only issue is they give you 1 napkin in the table so when eating you gotta be super super clean or ask for more….. just buy napkins for each table like all restaurants Ice scream is amazing and Russian lady always nice attending us there.
Excellent food, service was good too! We cleaned our plates
It was really good I had the TONKOTSU SPICY BLACK Ramen oh man it was good and spicy lol but flavorful. As had egg roll for appetizer and also got real Sushi called Crunchy roll that was really good to each roll was big. All was super good but sadly one crucial thing they didn't have was Ice for the drinks. Not even cold water just room temp water which sucked was little pricey. Besides the water everything was good I'll come again
There was a decent amount of wait before you get the table. Make sure you check in online on yelp to get in line for shorter wait. Good service & great staff. Parking right outside. Delicious food. No hot sake available (could be bad timing) they had cold sake.
amazing customer service and food is 10/10! I recommend passing by!
Just came in with the family right away the customer service was just the best the server was really polite on point with everything and always made sure we had everything we needed. Coming back for sure with more of my family letting everyone know the super welcoming and delicious food there is here.
One of my favorite Ramen restaurants to dine in/take out. I enjoy their spinach noodles in their spicy Tonkatsu broth (medium heat level). The Takoyaki (octopus balls) is decent here.
Amazing Ramen and very friendly staff. Highly recommend!!! The ramen broth is very flavorful and the toppings very fresh. Will come again
Two things to know about me. 1. I don’t leave reviews 2. I love noodles I do, however, use ratings to find places to eat and this noodle joint deserves all of the ratings. BEST black garlic ramen I’ve ever had and the portions are so large you can have lunch and dinner from the same bowl. Everyone that works there is incredibly kind as well.
Elena is one of the best customer service representatives ever! Excellent food, the Ramen is exquisite with a delicious broth. Fried rice, just the way I like it. Green tea, made at home. Excellent selection of dessert. I'm now a regular. Thank you folks.
The level 3 spicy miso didn't disappoint. I ordered extra pork but after eating I realized i should've gotten extra everything! The broth had the perfect amount of spice, the pork was flavorful, the egg was fantastic, and overall I had a great experience eating. One more thing to note is the macaroon ice cream. One word: phenomenal. Would definitely recommend.
I am obsessed with finding the best Ramen and hamburger restaurant. Finally this place is THE BEST Ramen place I have found in OC. My waitress Julia suggested the low sodium ramen soup and it was a total game changer. AMAZING! There are no low sodium options any where in OC except for this place. It's a must try! Love it!!! Thanks Julia!
This is my GO TO SPOT. Food is always good. Waiter are nice and attentive. They do free extra noodle at no additional cost for dine in, which is AMAZING!! Haha. Ramen is pretty good. Only thing I don’t understand is that as popular as they are why they have such a small space. You could end up waiting up to 45mins if it’s crowded. I think they should think about a place nearby with more space. But other than that, love this spot! My go to for Ramen.
Kind of a hole in the wall look from the outside, but the decor inside is great. The Ramen is pretty good. Not my favorite, but my son won't go anywhere else. It's gotten pricier like many places.
Oh man I hated this place only because I would order through door dash. One day I decided to come in and sit down to eat my Ramen and omg so glad I did it was super tasty. Came in on Sunday and they also said they have unlimited noodles I’ll definitely be coming back here. Best Ramen in OC in my opinion there’s many others but none compare to the flavor of this place they also play good music while you’re eating too.
We went in for dinner on a friday night and were seated quite quickly. The service was good and I personally liked the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. I ordered the Black Oil Garlic Ramen and it was pretty good. The Takoyaki was good also. Suffice to say I came in hungry and left very satisfied.
The best Ramen around and great service. We had the best server "Alvin", he always remembers his customers and makes you feel right at home. As I abservered all the servers during all my visits, they look very pleasant, knowledgeable with the menus and alert to your needs. Small location but great service.
Staff is very friendly ❤️ and food is soooop good!😋😋😋 Not really a sushi person but I am a yoshiharu person!
the food was amazing and the manager and staff is extremely friendly definitely recommend eating here !
This ramen place is awesome! Good ramen and when u order takeout they give a lot of noodles! I've ate inside as well, and service is great. I haven't really tried anything else other than ramen, and some California rolls. Also, i noticed their prices have gone up, since the last time I've been here. Everything is starting to cost more, gas prices and food have gone up.
Buena park and Orange spots are AMAZING! most definitely check them out
I'm always a little hesitant to try new places. I am very thankful I tried this ramen place. It was delicious, and service was excellent. Very happy with my experience. Clean and chill place.
Pic is actually of the Green Chilaquiles (breakfast nachos; which also come with red sauce of you prefer) from the Mexican market next door. Maps keeps putting me in there instead of here... Prices are great and the food is superb. Try the chicharron (deep fried pork belly) for sure. The tortas (sandwiches) are all very good as well. The quesadillas are huge. You can also have tacos with either regular or homemade tortillas. Excellent selection of marinated meats, cheeses and imported items. You can even have a beer or two with your food. A friendly and helpful staff that will guide you through the menu or butcher shop if need be.A true hidden jem in Orange.
This was the perfect rainy afternoon dinner to warm us up! The server/hostess (Anh) was so kind and accommodating that we changed our order from take out to dine in and got to enjoy an incredible vegetarian ramen and fried tofu fresh. I can’t say enough good things about how quickly and completely we were taken care of. It was a super busy stretch of weekend traffic, but the staff handled the steady flow beautifully. I would definitely visit again and recommend this location to anyone who asks!
One of the best ramen places you can go to in the OC. Their Spicy Miso ramen is delicious and the service is so quick. The overall broth is thick and fatty which helps to fill you up quicker. The seasoning and flavors are also good. I’ve been to two of their locations and the consistency between flavor and service is amazing. My new go to spot. Thank you Min and Antonio !
I definitely know a thing or two about ramen (just look at my profile picture--I was born in the land of noodles) and this the **best** ramen I have ever had. Pictured is the Tonkotsu Black, with extra egg and corn on the left and extra spicy on the right. The broth is out if this world; it is this thick, savory, indescribably amazing base that has me wanting to drink every drop even if it coats my arteries for the rest of my life (worth it)! Our entire meal with two bowls, three extras, two soft drinks, and a beef musubi was only about 32 dollars. The prices are very competitive. Be warned, even at 4pm on a Sunday it was 80 percent full. If you come during dinner time, expect 30 minute wait or more. Trust me, worth it!
We had an excellent time eating here, it was not too crowded, the food was great, as always and our server, Lizzie did an excellent job, and was very helpful and accommodating.
Don't visit this place often enough. Great ramen. The broth is very good. I’m kind of a traditional ramen consumer so this Tonkotsu style broth is great. The Manger visits each table to see how things are. I thought that was a great touch. Nothing like getting feedback directly. We also had the Idako Karaage which was quite good. Will definitely recommend and will visit again.
The black garlic tonkostu ramen was phenomenal. Went with a friend she had spicy miso ramen and liked it as well. The staff are all very friendly prices are reasonable for the very tasty portions, and the music was a soothing lofi that made the ramen taste better. Very yummy. Very worth the price. Would highly reccomend the black tonkotsu ramen.
Delicious food! Great service. Curry Bowl had plenty of delicious curry sauce with minced pork to mix in with the white rice. Boyfriend tried Tonkotsu Black ramen bowl and really enjoyed it. Karaage Chicken has the perfect crunchiness and flavor. Cozy restaurant with limited seating, so remember to put your name down to get a table. Table turnover is pretty quick. Not a long wait for dinner. Wasn't there to observe lunch. Will definitely be back!
Everything was FANTASTIC. The takoyaki was tasty, sushi was superb, and the ramen was to die for. The BBQ pork rib ramen was worth it and the extra spice we asked for was not too hot to be enjoyable! Mia was a fantastic server, was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped cater to my friend-from-out-of-state’s allergies. She was extremely jovial, quick to serve, and made the whole experience worthy of a 6th star if I could give it! We’ll definitely be coming back again and very soon!
Tired of Vietnamese Pho?? try Japanese Ramen 💖 🍜 🇯🇵 Hola mis amigos Japoneses 👋😉
Their savory ramen here never fails, always delicious, with great portions and reasonable pricing. One thing to note is that the menu isn’t fully updated, and they removed one of the kids’ items. I ended up ordering the kids ramen for my little ones, and they loved it! They were out of their draft beer during our visit and only had bottled options available. Unfortunately, we went on a rainy Sunday evening, and the wait was long approx. 40mins. Service was very slow, and our waiter kept forgetting things. It was clear the staff was overwhelmed that night. Despite the hiccups, I would still go back because the ramen is truly amazing. Props to the kitchen staff for their delicious food!
Very good Ramen and a large selection of Japanese appetizers. Inside is small but each booth has a divider from the rest which gives a nice sense of privacy. The service isn't super quick so probably not great for a lunch break but I didn't really mind the wait. The staff is very friendly and attentive.
I felt they had good food and I will be back. The waitress pointed out there was a special on draft beer, which was nice. But although they had a great ambience and music, I sat near the back of the restaurant by dishwashers and prep people. They were blasting really loud Latin music that competed with the music meant for the customers in the eating area. I'm thinking the owners were probably Japanese and culturally didn't want to ask the workers to turn the music down to an acceptable level.
Great food, fast service. One of our favorite ramen places. The staff isn't overly friendly, pretty neutral. But the food comes right out and tastes great, so can't really complain.
It's about the food here. Yummy for our visit.
The Spicy Black Tonkotsu Ramen was PERFECTION! Broth was decadent, creamy, and spicyyy. Love that they dudn't skimp on the bamboo shoots, which are my fave. And perfectly jammy soft boiled eggs!! I would skip on the appetizers though, the beef plate was so little and full of just carrots && onions -- not worth. The takoyaki was obviously made from frozen ones, which is fine. Go here for the Ramen & the vibes. I would def be back but just not for the apps.
This place is great, big serving with plenty of veggies, other places charge per item, spicy paste was really good, made my noodles even better, by the way, if you want more noodles just ask, they are free. We found out there is like 5 locations and we will definitely go check them out. The only down side to this and the reason I rated 4 stars was the place was way too loud, tables are too close together and to make it feel more private, they have a added some removable paper walls between the tables, basically feels like you are seating next to the other group... Anyway, do not miss it, you will enjoy it.
Yoshiharu restaurant was good. I ordered spicy famous famous. The food was real spicy and like it. Also, I added extra noddle for sure! The taste was good and I liked it but because of price I gave them 4 stars. The price for Ramen was a little bit higher than another places. I had Ramen in many places and for this reason, I think it could be lower. Totally I like it and recommend to anyone who like Japanese food.
The genuine efforts by everyone was not missed during my first visit to Yoshharu Ramen in Orange, 5 Stars y'all 👍 I enjoyed their Tonkotsu Black today. And I'll be back for their Tonkotsu Miso next week, if not sooner. 'Casual too Cool' is the dress code. Certainly an inviting spot to hangout with a few friends, a first date, or a date night for you married folks.
Came on a Sunday afternoon at around 1PM. A table or two was still open, counter was practically empty. Ordered the Tonkatsu Black with small combo side of Karage and extra noodles. Karage came out first then main dish and extra noodle on a small plate. Food overall was good. Karage may be slightly hot by the time the noodles arrive, so I recommend eating a couple while they are fresh. Total came out to be a little over $18. My overall experience was good.
I ordered the Shio Tonkotsu Ramen, the rest of my family had the Miso Tonkotsu Ramen. We also ordered 3 sushi rolls to share. The sushi was average. The ramen was excellent.👌 The restaurant appeared to be understaffed. One hostess/waitress, a lady bussing tables, and a man, possibly the owner, bringing out the food. They mistook our order. Originally, my wife did not order Ramen, but they brought out an extra one. We said we would take it and pay for it, but they ended up not charging us for it. I would recommend this place for the ramen, the taste of the broth, the done-ness of the noodles and egg, and serving size were all perfect.
The ramen is very flavourful! Here is my breakdown: 1. Wait time: not bad at all despite the size of the place and only 2 servers! 2. Service: Awesome! There were only 2 servers and they managed it wonderfully! 3. Ramen: As mentioned, the soup is flavourful and the noodles were not too firm and not too soft. I normally like my soup and noodles to be super hot (in temperature), so for me, I felt it wasn't hot enough. The egg was not cut like in half like you normally see, but that was a good thing as it did not mess up the yolk; however, it didn't get hot enough in the center for me. This place also has the option for no fat in the pork slices, which is excellent! Most ramen places don't have that option. Overall, I enjoyed their food and it hit the spot for me!
I want to hear a few weeks ago and I feel like the food was pretty good but definitely not amazing. I would give it a solid 7 out of 10. The food here definitely was not my complaint though. My complaint was actually the service. I went here on a weeknight where it was not super busy yet the server barely came around. There was two adults and two children sitting at my table. I ordered two kids meals and two regular bowls of ramen. By the time the food came out both kids meals came out and then one of the bowl of ramen. The server never seemed to question the fact that she only brought out three dishes for a table of four people. I sat and waited for quite some time thinking maybe my ball was just a little slower and after everyone at my table was nearly halfway done with their food I had to wave down the server and ask about my dish. Instead of just admitting that they completely forgot my order they brushed me off and said oh it would be coming right out. I had to watch every table around me get their bowls of ramen after that before I even got mine. By the time I was done eating my family had been sitting and waiting for me and when the bill came they actually charged me for 5 dishes instead of the four. They ended up double-charging me for my specific bowl of ramen as if I ordered it twice. I was very annoyed at this point and asked for my refund on the extra ball that I was charged for. Unfortunately for me there was no manager that night and so they could not refund my card that they had already charged at that point. So they ended up just giving me cash for the one bowl that they overcharged me for. Honestly that was my mistake for not looking at the bill first. We had been sitting there for so long already and had to ask for the check that when the server came without even looking at the bill I just handed her my card. Now I know better for the next time I go here that I have to double-check and possibly have them repeat my order. As I stated before it was not the food that was a problem here it was more of the service. I am definitely willing to give them a try again and hopefully we'll be able to update my review :-)
I'm not sure if this was a fluke but my ramen came out barely warm and almost room temperature. It had the potential to be good but I'll never know. I probably should have sent it back or literally asked them to microwave it but the server was like nonexistent and my water never got refilled either lol. It's okay I won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend this either. It's hard to really review the food past that but the price tag is kind of high too.... I just recently went to shin sen gumi on Monday where the ramen is 9.50 so this bowl being twice the price just makes it kind of sad. Food: 2/10 Service: 3/10 Atmosphere: 5/10 Value: 3/10
Water tasted of mold Military discount took off 10% [$1.70]. Tonkotsu Shio $15.57 total Wooden ladel spoon was interesting but I wouldn't use it again. I don't feel completely full.
It was "meh" this time. My wife ordered a bento box that was served with no sauces or wasabi - gotta say that teriyaki chicken with no teriyaki isn't great. We had to ask for wasabi for the California rolls, and then ask for soy sauce. We just got tired and took it home. My ramen was fine, although pretty lifeless. This had been a great spot for us in the past, although it's been a few months. Not sure what has changed, but with so many other great choices now, it may be a while before we return.
First time at this ramen joint. We ordered Tonkotsu Black, because that was the go-to item at this restaurant. It was not that great. Overly salty, heavy on oils. There was barely any pork. Half the pork was fat. Hard pass next time.
Place is getting sloppy on quality, meats are just meh, grills and pans aren't cleaned well so expect charred items with your food. We loved this place before as it was close by and a bit better than the ramen house by Target up the street. I'd rather drive a few more miles even in traffic before resorting to here again. I believe they still have the $2 beers which most places do.
I had the Tonkotsu Miso and Ika Karaage. The miso base wasn't very good and the noodles used felt like instant noodles.. they added greens which made the soup more bitter than it should be making it difficult to enjoy it. The pork was cooked well and was charred on the skin side for a little smoked taste which I didn't mind. The egg was just right and the green onion slices were perfect. For the Ika Karaage, it was cooked well but seemed too few for the price. It wasn't anything special to merit the more than $5 price tag. Overall, it wasn't too bad of an experience but I was hoping it would be worthwhile to visit considering I live nearby. I've had ramen in Japan and the station ramen shops are way better.
Fine. Tonkatsu and miso broth were very good. The pork chase and egg were just okay. I ordered extra tofu and an egg; did not receive either. Granted, this was pickup on a Friday night. Hopefully, this was just due to being busy.
Service was exceptional. Our server was nice and attentive. We ordered spicy tonkotsu black and the non spicy version. The chashi was good, but the spicy version had almost no flavor and seasoning. You could taste more of the broth with the non-spicy version. Overall extremely underwhelming. Also ordered some takoyaki, which were quite awful. It's largely just dough, little flavor and some were very undercooked/practically raw.
On February 24th we went to dinner with my family, the food was delicious, but the waitress treated us with a bad face from the moment we arrived, even when we were halfway through the meal she brought us the bill, our consumption was more than $130 USD, we felt so uncomfortable that we decided to leave without finishing eating, the same attention was given to all the people who were or looked Latino, we were celebrating that my wife was pregnant, what a way to ruin our evening.
Came in to get myself some good ramen only for me to wait over 30mins at the bar stood waiting for someone to take my order. Was never even offered water or anything to drink. The girl taking orders clearly was ignoring me as I asked for some service and she disappeared. She also got the order wrong for the people beside me. I left, been over 3yrs since I’ve been here. Won’t be back anytime soon.
Actually I have been searching for a great Ramen place in orange county for a long time and sadly, this place disappointed majorly. First the prices are too expensive for what they offer, and for the amount that they offer. The Ramen was average and I mean average. Not a lot of flavor and the meat was dry. I have had better shrimp tempura rolls at Sam’s Club that tells you all you have to know. I won’t be returning. You need to lower your prices also.
Use to go there years until Covid. Recently, family went there and noticed ownership has been changed. Then, prices went up almost 80%. Beware, If you order Spicy Ramen, they charge you $2 extra. Where else?? Any Ramen would cost about $20. We ordered a couple remen bowls and when arrived, first we thought it was vegetarian, you don't see the meat. Didn't see two large Char Siu which is typical in Japanese Ramen.
I doordashed ramen, the Tonkotsu black one in particular. This was my first time trying this place, and I’ve heard good reviews from friends and on Tiktok. The portion is very small for the price you’re paying and the broth is OK. The pork chasu is the most disappointing part and was chewy. Would not eat again.
We love Yoshiharu ramen, but this particular location leaves much to be desired.. The first time we came to this location, the food was great but the service was poor. The waitresses seemed to be teenagers so we didn't want to be too harsh and decided to come again. Service was better this time, food was great as usual, but the cups we were given our drinks in were dirty and didn't seem properly washed. There were weird flakes and gunk I was able to scratch off with my fingers. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this location.
Ordered a bowl of ramen and a bento box. There were 4 occupied tables in the whole place. Two wait staff members and two guys in the open kitchen. My ramen arrived quickly but my wife didn’t get her food. While we waited for the bento, the server dropped off the check for the table next to us on our table without even looking at us. I had to call her over to communicate that this wasn’t our check. I asked if the bento order was put in since my wife still did not have her food. By now, I am halfway done with my ramen. Server says, sorry, the bento takes longer. I say, when two people come together they expect to get their food at the same time. Server’s answer: I am sorry I am just the server. I told her she should let management know the kitchen staff can’t be bothered to time tickets. Instead of accepting the feedback, she insincerely apologized by repeatedly stating she is just a server and could not wait to get away from us. When the server dropped the check back after running my card, she made a point to shove it on the table corner by my wife, out of my reach despite grabbing it from me earlier. The food is OK, it’s not the best ramen but it’s not the worst. The service, however, at least on Sundays has been abysmal and filled with attitude and basic lack of care on the two occasions we visited. There will be no third time. The server name on the ticket was Lyanna but it’s not clear if it was the one who took our order or the sourpuss who gave us attitude.
The broth was too salty and Luke warm and when they added the hard boil eggs, made the both even more cold due to the eggs being refrigerate. The meat could not really get cooked on the broth because it was cold. The appetizer was delicious buy not the main course . The place was very clean buy overall I was not very impressed.
You are better off eating at the Chuck E Cheese next door. Service was ok. Mostly all young adults who seemed more focused on what was on their phones rather than work. No one came by to take our drink order and after 20 minutes of sitting there they finally brought us some water and took our food order. The food was terrible. We ordered grilled gyoza, teriyaki chicken/rice bowl, dragon roll, and a crunch roll. The gyoza was the only edible thing we got. The chicken was burnt and bland. And the 2 rolls tasted like it came straight from a grocery store packaged sushi. The bathroom was bad. Graffiti everywhere and they were too lazy to refill the soap dispenser, so they put a bottle of hand soap on top of the soap dispenser. They claim to be authentic but they are far from it.
Not sure what happened. The host sat us down and never attended us, then after 15 min she and a cook left the restaurant and drove off. No one said or communicated anything. It was only my family of 3 and two people eating at another table. We had no choice but to leave so we can have dinner somewhere else. Then as walked to our car they (the host and cook) just watched us. Smh.
Terrible Ramen, soup was subpar, the pork was overcooked. Terrible service, and they gave me a dirty plate that is not even washed properly. The only good thing they had was the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Karrage, thats it.
We put the place is not very clean, a Moscato was added to my plate of ramen. I told the waiter who said it was black garlic 😋 😄 so never come back here, it is pure grease and the ramen is very cold 👎
I rarely leave reviews, especially bad ones. I wanted to like this place, clean and polite staff. But this is the worst ramen I’ve ever had. It was so incredibly salty it gave me a headache and nauseous. I forced myself to eat half, but I wanted a refund after the first taste. I got the vegetable ramen but there were vegetables except seaweed. Where’s the broccoli/carrot/cabbage? Also, they had rap music blasting. I come to relax not go clubbin…
The ramen soup should be moderately hot, not cold. The pork in the soup was very tough to chew. Everything is different with the new owner, and the taste is really bad.
They royally messed up our order and tried to overcharge us AND gave us false information about what they were out on. Then when correcting the bill, after the waiter said he’d remove the extra charges he modified the bill and charged us on the more expensive ramen dishes basically nullifying any remedies promised. After how many flops they had with us (and the table next to us) this was clearly mishandled. Also, the ramen broth was flavorless, and as a whole very overpriced. We paid $45 for two messed up ramen orders and a Diet Coke. Don’t come here.
Came here today due to the 4.5 star reviews on Yelp. Was incredibly underwhelmed. Ordered the following: Spicy Garlic edamame: Edamame was undercooked and the sauce was too spicy. They were not hot when they came out and the sauce tasted like straight Sambal with butter. Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna: cabbage at the bottom was unnecessary. A little bland. Tonkatsu Miso: watery, bland broth. Chasu was salty and overcooked. Egg was cold. Chicken katsu curry: curry was bland and watery, chicken katsu was burnt and overcooked, not as described or matched photo on menu. Service/Ambiance: Slow as there was only one server. Only two napkins provided and no little plates offered to eat appetizers off of. Floors were sticky. Menus were incredibly grimey. Took forever to get the check even though it was not busy. I will never come back.
Came here with my family (4 adults). We all ordered our ramen and the waitress got 2 of the orders wrong. She took the order back and retook our order again. She walked back to our table 5 mins later with the wrong bowl of ramen and took the order again. Another young man walked to our table and verified our order another time. Then the waitress walked over again to verify our order. About 10 mins later the young guy walked back to our table to verify again. By this time we are starting to get irritated but we still kept calm with him and told him our order again. He walked away and said "Don't get an attitude with me, I'll get one back with you"....we literally were not rude to him at all until he started running his mouth. We told them the order 6 times total. We ended up leaving without getting the other 2 bowls of ramen. I tried to refuse to pay because it was a horrible experience but they threatened to call the police if i didn't pay. (Not that it probably would have mattered in CA) Good luck if you go here. I'd suggest writing down your order and handing it to them so they don't get confused and angry.... words are hard. The order they couldn't figure out was... 1 tonkatsu black, add an egg 1 tonkatsu spicy black, no onions or mushrooms
The food was decent, BUT, they have a giant sign outside that advertises $2 drafts. Is what brought me in. However once you sit down ask for it they tell you, “Only with a Yelp check in.” Nowhere is that mentioned. My problem isn’t the checking in part, but the fact that it’s not mentioned on the sign. It’s misleading advertising, and I didn’t appreciate it very much. Not to mention that after this confusion the waitress basically ignored me for the rest of the meal. All they had to do was add a sticker explaining the conditions, but they would rather pull one over on new customers.
September 02, 2022, I stopped by for the first time around 1:00 pm for lunch; what a mistake. When your air conditioner is out, you should inform those who want to stay and eat inside your restaurant; this wasn't outside seating. I asked the waiter, and she noticed the same thing that it was hot; hint, the waiter, should have said something or checked why it was so hot; this is a place that serves ramen soup! Second, what's with all the flies? I should have stopped by big lots next door and purchased a fly swatter, what a mess. This will be my first and last time; the health department should be called because this was a very unhealthy environment.
I had the Tonkotsu Shoyu and I found the broth to be too salty the noodles undercooked and the pork very underwhelming. The portion at first glance is very generous but it's mostly broth and a gigantic bowl for $12 there are a few other places within that price range that do it a lot better. I highly recommend Hiro Nori in long Beach of you don't mind the drive because that place is definitely worth it.
Oof. Man this place has gone down hill. I'm so sad because I used to love it here! Went here last Tuesday and ordered the Kara age. It was frozen in the middle Had already ordered spicy tonkutso and they changed the noodles so they are not as fresh. The soft boiled eggs were still cold in the ramen. It was disgusting. Felt like you hit an ice cube in your soup. It's clear they changed ingredients and went cheaper. Highly disappointing. Also we ordered tea, it was never brought to us, and left on the check. 2 for service as the waiters were nice - but never refilled waters and messed up the tea situation. All around just bad. I used to go out of my way to eat here and will never be returning. It was honestly gross.
Food was decent, but Yoshiharu Ramen delivered one of the most infuriating and unacceptable service experiences imaginable. There were only two tables with customers, including us an absolutely not-busy situation, yet the young lady server acted as if doing her job was a burden. No water refills, no attention, no effort. She ignored orders, questions, and basic requests while staying glued to her phone the entire time. I ordered ONE extra topping. It never arrived. When I reminded her, she repeatedly said the wrong quantity; when taking the order, when being reminded, and even when bringing it out. I clarified “ONE” multiple times, clearly and directly. Then the bill came… and they had charged for TWO. At that point, it was beyond incompetence. It felt like she didn’t care at all about accuracy, customers, or the most basic sense of responsibility. For a restaurant that wasn’t even busy, this level of negligence is unbelievable. It’s astonishing that someone with this attitude is allowed to serve guests and ruin their dining experience. Completely unacceptable from start to finish. It was my first time experiencing gen z memes in reality. Lol
