Cassies's Restaurant Orangeburg Reviews
Cassie's, has great food and the service is on point. I had my birthday celebration her and let me just say everything was perfect. Everyone in my party was very happy with the service.
You can taste when a chef wants your meal to be perfect. Not close to perfect... Perfect! This place has been around and has a very loyal crowd. Because they've earned it.
We ordered 3 hot dishes 2 salads and some apps for a family dinner of 10. The food was packed perfectly for pick up. Hot and delicious when served. The company raved
THE best Marguerite pizza and Caesar salad EVER!! Love the brick oven cooking. Family dining place; not necessarily for first dates or date night but fun group night out!
We have been coming to Cassies for 12 years. What's not to love..the pizza is awesome and all the meals are delicious. You get huge portions. There has never been a meal that my family hasn't liked. Pear salad and the chop salad with chicken are my favorite salads. Tortellini Carbonara & Penne Vodka are my favorite pastas..Chicken Parm & Eggplant Rollantini is always a hit with the kids. The staff is always very friendly. You will not be disappointed.
Great food, great service!
I had little time, and a bunch of family members were coming for dinner. I called up Cassie’s in Orangeburg. Ordered a bunch of food trays, and it was all delivered, on time, piping hot, with delicious breads, cheese and sauce. They even included the serving spoons. Everyone loved the food, especially the shrimp fra Diablo! Yummy. Since the portions were so generous, all had a “ doggy bag” to take home for a good midnight snack, we really enjoyed it. I would order again from Cassie’s.
Excellent. The waiter provided an exceptional customer experience. The Pear Salad is delicious and so is the dressing. The classic wood burning pizza is great.
My favorite pizza anywhere! So delicious! Plus, salads are out of this world. Staff is friendly and attentive and portions are generous. I highly recommend it.
Food here never fails to satisfy. From the brick oven pizza, to the pear salad, to the steaks, to the Bolognese sauce, I always have a 5 star experience here! Staff is awesome as well!
Absolutely phenomenonal pizza with great pastas and other entrees as well. Dessert selection and quality is very good also. Only downside is it gets very very loud during rush hours and gets cold as well
Yummy! Normally they do not take reservations, however we called ahead & asked if they could put together a table for 9, which they did. We also had a GF diner in our group. They have GF pizza crust, as well as GF pastas. Most items on their menu are either single or family style. Family style is very generous (and economical). Pizza is thin crust and cooked in a coal burning oven You won't have a bad meal here.
We just had my daughter's christening there. Great food and attentive waitstaff. Our guests loved the foods, especially the calamari and pizza. Family friendly. Thank you for a nice experience!
easily best pizza in Rockland county. you won't find a better brick oven pie with higher quality ingredients. great pear salad and fired calamari as well. everything I've had from this place has been fantastic. warm setting and respectful staff is the cherry on top
The food and service are both terrific, and the prices are fair. The atmosphere is unpretentious, and the parking is on-site and easy. The only thing I would change is that they have multiple beautiful large televisions mounted on the walls, usually with a game on. I prefer no televisions. It is not a sports bar. Televisions in restaurantsis a trend I think regrettable.
The food is AMAZING and the staff are the nicest people in the world. We've been customers since 2015 went we lived in NJ and would frequent the Englewood location. We were thrilled to discover they had a location in Rockland when we moved here. Highly recommend this restaurant for great food, service and ambiance.
Last week we had the most incredible dinner at Cassie’s. We started with a delicious pizza, and a stacked salad. The dressing on the stacked salad is so fantastic I think I could drink it lol. We all had different dishes, the chicken Milanese was delectable. The pasta with eggplant, penne Sicilian was incredible. The food at Cassie’s is delicious, the service is friendly and the management and staff are friendly and the help bend over backward to make your experience top notch. The owner, Ed is warm, friendly and kind. He even made sure personally that we enjoyed our meal and came over after dinner to check on us. We love Cassie’s and will be back before the holidays.
We just picked up Cassie’s $40 dinner. Which includes and main meal, salad and a large pizza. OMG. It was incredible. We could have fed seven adults. The food was delicious and super hot. We are regulars at Cassie’s but because of the new virus rules we could only order take out. As seniors Cassie’s made us feel very confident as you need to pick up your order outside. The server was wearing gloves. We’ll miss the cozy restaurant and friendly service but until they fully reopen we’ll suffer through the curbside service:)
Great ambiance for families and friends. Greeted nicely as you walked in. Servers and owner were very attentive to us. Food was delicious and a good amount! Can't wait to go back. We were at a funeral nearby and went there after for lunch.
Thank you so much. Your Veal Parmigiano was amazing! The veal was tender, and it's bread crumb coating was crunchy. Topping it was a tomato sauce delite that was spiced just right. Both my husband and I ordered veal. My husband also had the canolli, and he raved about it. One suggestion is try and have some Art depicting scenes from Italia. It can be a mural or framed canvas. As a former New Yorker who attended middle school near Little Italy in the Bronx and whose father learned Italian as a member of the Typographic union, the restaurant brought back many wonderful memories. Oh Thanks for the tasty cocktail.
Always good food and great service. Everyone knows it's the best wood oven pizza, but I always order the chicken, pasta and arugula. With a nice glass of wine, it is the perfect dinner choice. Portions are generous, in fact, more than ypu can eat, yet they won't drain your wallet.
We arrived after 51/2 hours in the car and were overwhelmed with Ed and Hectors hospitality, genuine friendliness and recommendations for a fabulous salad and margarita oven fired pizza! They were super attentive with GF options as one of us is Celiac
Once again, a fantastic meal from Cassie's! The pizza is outstanding and very rarely do we have leftovers. Dave does a great job! He is always so friendly and welcoming.
This Italian restaurant has great pizza "margherita-style brick oven pizza". Their other dishes are very huge. You usually have to take the leftovers home. In this restaurant, sharing food is the best option. This is a very delicious restaurant and definitely should be tried! I loved it!
Phenomenal pizzeria! My favorite when in the region and cannot recommend the margarita pizza enough. Great, expedient service in a good neighborhood. Great bread and the fact that everything is baked in the coal oven makes everything so much better! Give it a try!
The pizza is outstanding. Perfect sauce to cheese ratio and thin crispy crust the sauce is delicate and does not give me heartburn. The bread is amazing. We always ask for Hector to take care of us. He is so friendly and his recommendations are always on point. I didn’t want to order the shrimp tacos because I didn’t think they would be good - but after some hesitation I tried them and they were delicious. The staff are all friendly. Love coming here.
We love this place! It's our go to Italian restaurant although it's technically not "authentic". However, with that said, you'd never know it. The food (all of it) is on point, always. Their brick oven pizza is awesome and the service is friendly, prompt and professional. The owner, Ed, is especially gracious and the diamond in the rough is Hector, one of the servers. A true gentleman and a scholar. Can make one helluva drink AND he makes the must have tiramisu! I highly recommend this place if ever in the area.
Great gluten free pizza is available. Hector is an attentive and friendly server who makes the gluten free tiramasu version unheard of anywhere else. You won't be disappointed 😊
I've been coming here since I was a kid. Part of the Top 3 best Pizza places I've ever eaten at. Will always recommend this place to people.
Wow !!!!!!!!!!! Have been here before and I was lukewarm but this visit was awesome from beginning to end !!! We went for apps and pizza and the food was amazing. Tomato mozzarella salad was fantastic!!!! The margarita pizza was delicious !!!! And I must say the service was TOP SHELF !!! Garrett greeted us as soon as we sat down and he was personable, professional , and very attentive to our table !!! That guy is a huge asset to your staff. We eat out A LOT and he was head and shoulders above anyone we’ve dealt with in a really long time !!!! We will definitely be back !! Appreciate ya Garrett !!
Very good food. Love coming to Cassies for their family style salads and the brick oven pizzas. Popular spot. Parking is always tight. Good atmosphere however it can be noisy when busy.
Stopped at 4:00pm on the way to a ball game. We were coming from Saratoga, NY area. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Waitress was very pleasant and offered suggestions. We ordered a cesar salad, shrimp tacos and a large pizza for our party of five. Our drinks were brought over quickly and the food arrived just as fast. There were a couple other families at the restaurant..not too busy since it was between busiest meal times. They also seem to have a very busy take out business. ALL the food was excellent. Portion size was pleasing and the ingredients were fresh. I would definitely return the next time we are in the area.
Great place !! Haven’t been there in a year for a medical issue and got to tell you (my doctor won’t like it) but best calamari ever, penne vodka is still one of the best I have had and my kids love the pizza and have for over a decade. Make sure Dave or Ed is there and they will make sure your good. Staff is so nice. Was a treat to have food tonight!! Thanks guys.
Absolutely amazing, best pizza in town. Polite service, cozy inside atmosphere with a lovely outdoor seating area. On top of the pizza I'd also recommend the tricolor salad. Excellent!
My favorite pizza place in the area, very tasty crust and ingredients seem fresh. I love their family meals, perfect for 6+ people. Chicken parm and eggplant parm are top-notch and generous portions. I can't remember the name of the salad, but the one with nuts, berries, and cheese is wonderful. Pay with cash because card is a bit extra!
Absolutely my favorite pizza place in the county. Its coal burning brick oven gives the crust a nice smoky flavor and they top it off with fresh mozzarella and whole leaf basil. I recommend coming here when you're with family or a large group and ordering from the menu family style. The waitresses say the family size portions can feed three, really they can feed five or six. Even the individual portions can be shared between two.
Google recommended to come to this place after we went pumpkin picking . we pulled up and we had no idea what to expect. Well, all of our expectations were blown away. The food was fantastic and everybody left raving about how good , hot and fresh everything tasted.
We have gotten takeout during the pandemic and loved it. We stopped in for dinner on Saturday and we're totally blown away. Our server was outstanding and friendly. The food was outrageous. We did not feel rushed. They knew had a time the food. Definitely definitely give it a try.
We always frequented Cassie’s but hadn’t been there since COVID. We were there tonight and are happy to say that the food and service iare still great. Our waitress Leanna was sweet, courteous attentive and professional. Our other favorite, who has served us for years, is Hector. Everyone was working very hard to to make it a great place to dine.
Great pizza! The cheese is on the bottom and the sauce is on top which maintains a crispy crust ... the sauce has a hint of sweet and tangy notes and the cheese is low moisture mozzarella which are in thin sliced sheets. I've had pizza in some of the highest rated pizzerias in the US and this one holds its own IMO. Friendly staff, efficient service.
Cassie’s is my favorite lunch spot with their pizza and salad special. The gentleman who delivers to me is super nice! Now I have been here for dinner a had full of times and I love it. No matter what you have it’s great. Great atmosphere great employees amazing food!
Hector, our waiter, provided exceptional service during our visit. From the moment we sat down, he greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel at ease. His attentiveness was unmatched—always checking in at the perfect moments, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Hector’s friendly demeanor and thoughtful recommendations truly elevated our dining experience. It's rare to encounter such excellent service, and Hector made our meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!
Great first experience eating at a restaurant with my name! Hector was our server and he was so nice and welcoming. We had the stuffed artichoke and not many restaurants have this item on their menu so I appreciated that and it was amazing! We also had the cream of chicken soup which was delicious and all of our pasta dishes were very good. Portions were huge, so we all had leftovers. The tiramisu was probably the best I’ve tasted in a long time. I am a new fan and not just because of the name. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Excellent!! We are in town visiting family and we were starving after a long travel day. We saw Cassie’s and decided to give it a try with absolutely no expectations. Well, we were blown away! The food is incredible and some of the tastiest meatballs and pizza I have ever had. Would recommend!
Great food, great service. Wide variety to choose from. Highly recommend!!
Great classic cheese pizza with gluten-free option. Light, crunchy crust and delicious sauce. Even our kids loved it. The pear salad was also excellent. We'll need to try dessert next time!
Great pizzas and salads! Generous portions, and you must add a chicken parm to you meal for your table to share!
My family and I recently visited Cassie’s for the first time, and we had an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that felt both cozy and lively. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel like family. As a special welcome, the manager surprised us with a complimentary dessert—which was absolutely delicious! The food itself was outstanding: fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. I highly recommend Cassie’s to anyone in Rockland County or just passing through—it’s truly a must-visit!
As a lifelong pizza fanatic, I don’t say this lightly: this place is a serious contender for the best pie in all of Rockland County — and possibly even Southern Bergen County. The quality is undeniable: fresh mozzarella, fragrant basil, and top-tier ingredients that come together in a beautifully balanced, flavorful bite. It’s easily a 4.5-star pizza, and with just a little tweak to eliminate the dreaded flop (you know what I mean, fellow pizza lovers), it could be perfect. Pro tip: consider experimenting with cornmeal on the bottom & crust — it could add that extra crispness that crunch-lovers dream of. Do that, and I guarantee your sales will skyrocket. If you're a pizza enthusiast like me, this place is an absolute must-visit.
Hector was an amazing waiter. He was super friendly, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. He was quick, polite, and made our experience so much better. We really appreciated his great service and attention to detail throughout our meal. We love Hector!!!
Nice little place to stop for a pizza. Clean place, good family atmosphere. My woodfired Pizza was served hot, ingredients were fresh. Very very tasty. Beers were delivered ice cold. Can't ask for more. Rated five stars without a question.
Cozy kind of hole in the wall place off the Palisades Parkway. Had the garlic bread and the Cavatelli, which had sausage, broccoli, and a cherry pepper garlic sauce. Fantastic. The pepper add just a bit of heat, and the use of fresh garlic in both the bread and the pasta was noticeable. Staff was friendly, quick, and attentive. Going to definitely come back on future trips.
Really good pizza! One of the best we've had. We had the margarita pizza and it was delicious. The crust was super thin and tasted great. Fresh mozzarella and basil. The sauce tasted like fresh tomatoes. If we lived nearby it would be our go to pizza place! The service was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive and just a really nice guy.
The pizza is excellent, I haven't had pizza this good for a long time. They have gotten their brick ovens dialed in tight to get such a good crust. Also the Ranch. By far the best ranch sauce I've ever had! All other Ranch Dressing are ruined for me, they will only be imitations. I can't express how good the Ranch is! You have to ask for a side cup to dunk your pizza crust in! Trust me you'll love it. Service was great too.
Delicious pizzas! I also love the arugula and pear and Gorgonzola salad. What a great combination of flavors. We always order a side of their grilled chicken which has a. Nice char grilled flavor. They have outdoor dining in the warmer weather and ample indoor dining. Never disappoints and it seems like a local favorite!
Clean large dining room. The service was fast and friendly. There are many options for any palate to feel satisfied. Martini was big and strong, win win. My meal was hot, fresh, and delicious. The marsala sauce was delicious. The garlic broccoli was fresh and cook perfectly. Family friendly but perfect for a date night. Lastly, the cannoli was fresh and oh so tasty. Highly recommended by me. Bon Appetito
Great pizza and salad. Prices are excellent and portions are huge. They have family sized entrees that will feed four or more. A really great place to come with a crowd.
Really good italian american food, large portions and great service. Ambiance and decor upgrade is desperately needed..
Nice neighborhood Italian place with coal fired pizzas and menu of the usual faire. Choices maybe not exciting but what they do they do well. The quality is good and portions generous. They also do a really good salad.
Very nice little neighborhood place. Food items I really liked include the house salad, pizza with wheat crust, and lobster ravioli. I wasn't too impressed by the meatballs, but then I'm not a big fan in general. Service was quite friendly though we went at a not so busy time.
Surprisingly really good! Easy to miss but definitely worth stopping. The bread they give as a starter is super soft and flavorful (and has a tasty oil to dip in) and their burgers are well cooked and seasoned, good classic diner burger.
Okay experience off the highway. Meaty meatballs but could use more flavor. Pizza is good but could use more flavor. I guess it's good if you like a natural healthier and lighter taste.
UPDATE— everything is back to where it used to be. Fresh, hot, cooked well. Their pizza and toppings are the best in the area, and the service is back to where it used to be. Unfortunately, the quality has diminished over the past 2-3 months. Giving it 3 stars because the food itself used to be great quality As a family who frequently ordered from Cassie's and had consistently recommended it to others we've recently been very disappointed. Last three orders: 1- arrived late and undercooked, with the cheese and toppings all shifted to one side. 2- (pickup) they gave us the wrong pizza. then when i called to inform them they said we'd receive a discount on our next order. mentioned it to them on our next order, and received no discount. 3- arrived late and cold, with all the toppings shifted to one side For a $20 pie plus a delivery charge, one would expect for it to arrive hot and intact. It used to always be that way but not recently. Maybe we've just had bad luck but for us it's time to try somewhere else.
I came here with Lapin and his mom. They both have been here before and they love it. We were seated quickly but the restaurant was pretty empty. The staff was quick and efficient. We ordered a large pizza and it came out piping hot. We also got a tiramisu which was really delicious.
The margarita pizza is excellent. The Mac and cheese is good— but if you have multiple kids just order the large one. My friend and I couldn’t finish the entire plate; we shared it. Really nice setting and service!
Very local pizzeria & restaurant. The food servings are massive and full of flavors. We got so excited that we didn't get to take photos of our other orders. The service and atmosphere are a little uptight, but I'm guessing it's because we're an unfamiliar face. We will try again. 😊
We ordered wings and pizza. The wings were freezer burned and the pizza was below average but, the staff were all very nice and friendly
First let me start by saying the food is amazing….but you have to make sure your order is correct. This is now the 4th time in a row that my order has been messed up. Not sure what’s going on there but it’s like not even close to what I order. I’m not sure if something in the system is getting mixed up or what but there’s no way you can mess up the order that bad that many times in a row. So double check your take out orders or you’ll be real upset when you get home.
food was pretty good although I think it used to be better. was a little annoying how the staff stood around and talk to each other, but did not come to the table to see if we want something else or maybe fill a glass with water or clear the appetiser plate
It was once fantastic, this time couldn't even tell the difference between chicken parmigiana and the shrimp parmigiana were ordered Sauce, pasta poorly done.Even the pizza wasn't what it used to be .Won't return for a while for sure. Service was good Maybe they changed chefs?? Who knows
Begger's can't be choosers so we spent $40 on a small Caesar salad, a small "family" size soggy fry and a "family" size mozerella stick. First of all, they put my Caesar salad in the bag with the hot food. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know why that was a dumb move. None of the food had any flavor, they gave me a HALF FULL tiny container of tasteless dressing for my freshly-warmed salad and their portion sizes are pathetic, given the prices. Convenience comes at a price and unfortunately, when ordering from Cassie's, that price is high!
Go to the original Englewood Cliffs store. Much better food than this place. Pizza is decent, but other food is hit or miss. Their penne with vodka sauce is much worse than the NJ store. The arrugula salad with portobello mushroom is inedible as the sauce in the mushroom is too pungent. Sorry to give such a harsh review, but the food quality has gone downhill here.
I don't get it? How can this place have 5 star reviews? The pizza crust tastes bland, looks & tastes like white wonder bread. The sauce was just scooped from a jar. And more salt than the salt caves. The prices are outrageous! Really. Beyond the norm inflation prices. The atmosphere is a dark cafeteria with white LED along the windows. This is not NY pizza. But the portions are good - I suppose? They need to change the $$ to $$$$. If you don't know what good pizza tasts like, then go..
Not a good experience. Ordered large pie with mushrooms, pepperoni, and spinach. The pie came out extremely soggy/wet. The owner explained to me water is released from mushrooms however most adults know that and if he knows that he should let me know upon ordering. Anyway to paint the whole story he made us another pie minus the mushrooms and it was better. The waitress was very nice and handled us professionally. Owner on the other hand said good night and thank you to all customers leaving the restaurant. Upon us leaving he would not say anything. Bad business for no reason. We tipped correctly because it’s not her fault but I will NOT be coming back.
They make excellent pizza. The problem is that they reduce the size of their large pies and increase the cost. Yesterday, we ordered a large sausage pizza. We got a pie that was very small and very thin. Thinner than usual. For the prices of their pies, you should be getting more.
I wasnt going to say anything but I literally bit into a razor blade in my pizza crust the last time I ordered the family meal. I’m just glad it wasnt my elderly mother that crunched down on the solid metal shard. Oh well. Not sure how I could eat from here again.
Spent $96 on DoorDash and got an undersized pie, rubber chicken, hard mozzarella, and 4 greasy shrimp. I shocked to see 5 star reviews, Cassie’s place must hate online orders if they sent us such gnarly food
21$ for a drink and a small mediocre pizza is bad. Add to boot they put some green leafs of something all over it that I didn't ask for and had to pick off. The crust of the pizza was better than most places I will give them that but there was too much sauce, the pepperoni was swimming. I ordered a small pizza with just pepperoni and I don't know what they put on it but my mouth was on fire for most of the meal. Waaaayyyyy too spicy for what I ordered. But the most disturbing thing was I found hair in my pizza
OMG, so bad what a rip off! Family salad probably cost them 3 bucks cost us over 20 dollars!!! Pizza was a flatbread, and bad!! Waste of money, they are very friendly but not worth the bill. Don't go
Worst pizza I ever had. What a rip off. Ordered one large pizza with three toppings which were $2 ea only to find out that was for only for half of the pizza. The pizza was under-cooked and had no taste. No one liked it and we ended up throwing it away and reheated frozen pizza from another place. Will never go again.
The Cassie's salad was old and soggy. The pizza is no longer crispy its usually undercooked. Not the same in the past few years. Not to mention on this visit I had to hear the owner scream and curse out one of the waitresses because she got a bad tip on a almost $300 bill. Your customers don't need to hear it.
The pizza is dry and very small. No ketchup for the fries
Just ordered a salad with no cheese for my vegan daughter. She put in a special request for no cheese. Dave, the manager accused her of not ordering the salad without cheese. He offered to give a free salad the next time she comes in. Dave, you can rest assured that you will never see me or my family at Cassie’s again.
Staffs are very RUDE and the food is NOT HYGIENIC. My family found a hair and a thin steel in our food. When we called to complain about the food they did offer us a refund. But, since some portion of the refund didn't come through, my husband had to call twice to ask why he wasn't getting the full refund. This manager was very rude and unprofessional when answering my husband's call. He basically said he's busy and hung up on him, not even a single word saying he'll call back when he's free. It's not about the refund anymore but it's the way that my husband was treated. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I don't think this place even deserves a single star. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this place to anyone in the town.
We really wanted to like the pizza here since the restaurant was close to our hotel and we were staying for multiple nights but, unfortunately, it just wasn’t good. We ordered a large classic. The crust was fine but the melted cheese didn’t taste like anything and had a strange consistency, likely because it was imitation cheese, which is cheaper to produce (and buy) than real cheese. The sauce was bland, and tasted like bad tomato paste. We couldn’t finish it; that’s how not good it was.
I wonder if ordering takeout gives you the same portion as if you dine in? Ordered the family size salad, which was $30 and it’s basically have a head of lettuce, 2 cut tomatoes some shaved carrots ridiculous price ! Pizzas were thin crust but when you order certain toppings like tomatoes and arugula then the pizza gets real soggy since there isn’t enough dough… Pizzas were more pricey than expected than other locations given that it’s thin crust… But the family salad prices on the avg of $30 is ridiculous given the portion of vegetables Now I remember why it’s been 3 years since the last time I ordered.
Way way overpriced for mediocre food. One salad, an eggplant rolatini appetizer (looked like a blob of melted mozzarella on a plate), one beer and one wine was $90 w/ tax and tip. Ridiculous. They add a 3.5% “service fee” to everything, like the prices aren’t high enough (over $30 for the salad). Fee applies in all cases, whether cash or credit. They clearly get a bunch of feedback about it because our waitress and young lady at the register practically anticipated my question. Apparently they don’t keeping in touch with the market, hearing that customers are getting sick of all the fees and it is not worth alienating them.
