The Ale House has been our local for the last 10 years, brilliant atmosphere, staff amazing, I have made long time friends with a few of the staff. Always puts the football on for us. Get yourself in there when in the plaza, you will not be disappointed. See you all in August Kath 😀 Amazing with my autistic son 💙
Always welcomed by such friendly staff. Very comfortable family friendly bar. Beer is excellent, lots of choice for all. Can also watch the football & have a bet on the horse racing. Highly recommend.
I have to admit that I visited this pub primarily to watch Everton play as I was aware the owner is an Evertonian. However this should not discourage you from going if you're not of the blue persuasion, great friendly atmosphere, with many EPL games all shown simultaneously. Great selection of beers served with a smile. I look forward to visiting again in December on my next visit 😁
Fantastic pub definitely the best place in the plaza staff are really nice sausage’ rolls and pastys are blooming lovely lol great drinks not over priced like other places and it’s just a great atmosphere always a great time had been using it for 20 years now 😊

Slow, unresponsive service. Good view for watching sport.
If you understand scoucers you will be ok
Just popped in for 1 drink before having something to eat, sorry this place is not for me, proper blokes pub, loud men and women drinking pints. No thanks
